Came here during off season in the beginning of November. Was able to get a table right away as it seemed kind of slow. However, I could see this place getting really busy during the summer since the location is prime right off the boardwalk. Service was great, our server was attentive and checked in on us frequently. We ordered a dozen raw oysters, and unfortunately they were thin and lacked flavor. One of my oysters even had a pea crab in it. It was the first time I had ever experienced this and was assured by the server that this meant the oysters were fresh. Okay - I googled this afterwards and although the pea crab doesn't harm the oyster's quality, since it is a kleptoparasite and steals food from the host oyster, it explains the thinness. I also ordered the lobster roll. It was more like a lobster salad roll as the lobster meat is mixed in with some imitation crab and celery. A little misleading, but was still tasty, probably not worth the $32 though. The side of hush puppies only came in 3, but were probably the best tasting thing here.

Raw oysters, half dozen, from Virginia.

Staff- was fine, nothing to rave about. Food- not good. I ordered half dozen raw oysters which were gross. They were Virginia oysters. Disgusting. Also ordered the shrimp boil with potato and corn, I also added 1 crab leg cluster. Everything in the boil was bland. I know there's seasoning on it - you can see it - but it was so bland. It's almost like all the seasonings are old and expired that they've lost their flavor profile. I generally don't use melted butter, but I had to for each bite of this seafood boil. I would not recommended this restaurant. But also in general, I don't recommend the food scene in Myrtle Beach. I ate out there for 3 days and nothing impressed me. Not a food scene.

Read up on Myrtle beach food blogs before making a trip down and one said it get a fried oyster po'boy from this spot. Great location right on the boardwalk. Quickly got the feeling that's how they stay in busy. Hush puppies tasted like they had been fried for too long. The breading on the oysters were better but could have used more of a kick. Bread and tomato's were fresh. Oysters had some good seasoning on them but on the menu it said its comes with garlic bread and when asked about it the waitress said they had ran out. She gave us saltine packets which are supposed to be served with soup. I thought it was misleading and the waitress seemed surprised we questioned the garlic bread not coming out.

Had a great lunch here while we were in town. Location is on the board walk facing the ocean side. Had the jalapeño cheddar burger while watching the waves. Service was on point. She got our order in right away and kept checking in on us all the way through. Cool decor on the walls and hanging from the ceiling. Hubby got the fish tacos blackened with street corn as the side which were money! I'll definitely get those next time!! We were hungry after playing pickleball we Ate so quick we didn't get to take photos. We'll be back next time in town for sure!

They don't short you on food I tell you that. Especially with something like lobster, whereas most businesses shortchange you on the lobster and charge you and arm and a leg, this place at least gives you the lobster serving in abundance. Was it the best lobster I ever tasted!l? No. The food was fine for beach food. But the service and food portions take this place up a level.

After reading some reviews and trying to find some Crab legs, we ended up here because we couldn't get a seat in other places on a Saturday night. First, the food is decent and if I was rating the food alone, it would have faired better but because I'm rating the overall experience, it's getting 3 stars, 2.5 if I could give half stars. The location is nice in that it is on the boardwalk and it offers a small amount of outdoor seating but being on the boardwalk of Myrtle beach is also a huge negative. The crowd is pretty rowdy and not exactly family friendly. Parking is expensive and requires you to walk a decent ways through loud music, loud cars, and rowdy people. If you are looking for a family-friendly place, the Myrtle beach boardwalk is not it. The restaurant itself has a beach/dive bar atmosphere which I liked and they had live music. Service wasn't so great either. We had a younger server that was nice but not knowledgeable about the menu, and couldn't give any recommendations. We ordered the pulled pork nachos for an appetizer which I want to say was good but not amazing. It was almost like there were too many different flavors going on between the thousand island like sauce, sour cream, jalapeños, pulled pork, and to top it off, pineapple. Ultimately they were too different and surprising with the pineapple to really like them. I also wanted to try the Maui burger which was supposed to have beef and a pineapple but when is asked my server about it they said they didn't like fish and that was a turn off for me because I didn't see any seafood included on that entree on the menu, so I went with the standard cheese burger which was nothing to write about good or bad. My wife had an off menu order crab leg boil. She really liked the crabs because of the amount of bay seasoning they cooked it in and it being surrounded with corn and sausage. This was the best part of our dinner there. She also ordered a Bloody Mary, which she did not finish and she stated "you can tell a lot about how I like a drink by if I finish it or not, because it's hard for me to leave alcohol on the table'" hahaha but I think her statement sums up her thoughts on their bloody mary. Overall, go there for crab legs if you are already risking your life by being down by the boardwalk, but if you are not, I'd find a different place. Recommendation to Dirty Don's - put a crab leg boil on the menu!

When showing up here, my husband and I were so confused. We weren't sure whether to seat ourselves of if someone was going to seat us. We were standing for a while so we ended up seating ourselves. Service took a while cause we may have seated ourselves but then other customers seated themselves so honestly I felt a little uncomfortable and confused cause I wasn't sure if we were doing the right thing. -Please have a sign or anything to let customers know whether to seat themselves or wait.- Service from our waiter was okay. I feel like there wasn't enough servers which may have been why it took long to get another drink. Other than that he was a nice server. We had ordered oysters cause our tradition is to grab oysters on our last day of our trip. This restaurant was the only place that had good reviews and oysters. Unfortunately, this restaurant definitely threw me off cause for it to be an Oyster Bar & Grill this place barely had a selection of oysters. It was super expensive, I never really complain about price but for the amount that was given disappointed me. Almost 90$ for 12 oysters and a lobster Mac N Cheese. Oyster we got was okay. Could be better. I was really looking forward for their "famous" Lobster Mac N Cheese because it looked absolutely amazing but it disappointed me! ;((( There was absolutely no taste, the cheese was only on top and the inside watery, the pasta used was Tri-color Rotini(That's like doing spaghetti and meatballs but instead of spaghetti using elbows-_-.) Bathroom was kinda hot inside which made it stink inside. I can say their drink menu is great and has a nice view of the beach. There was a guy playing great music on his guitar inside which was nice! Will I go back? Not sure....their food needs to improve. Drinks and music to vibe, yes!

I knew this could be a "tourist trap" but I don't think it was, honestly. Had a dozen oysters and they were what we expected. We split an order of crab legs and the tuna tacos. The server was not wrong about the Mexican corn being *chefs kiss*. The lowlight was the fries. Get them in some beer batter like all your neighbors and that would up it a little bit. Tuna tacos were solid. The patio had live music and the server (man I wish I remembered her name!) really made it fun. Glad we came by!

When visiting for a family beach trip, we decided to try this beloved seafood buffet. Along the strip in Myrtle Beach, the roads are lined with a plethora of Seafood Buffets ranging from small family owned to large attraction-like restaurants. Without having tried any of the other options, I would say this has to be the best in town. The atmosphere, staff, variety of food offerings, and taste were unmatched. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a unique buffet experience. The exterior of this restaurant is massive and felt like a large Shopping Center with beautiful landscaping, water features, beautiful windows, and colorful siding. Upon arrival, we were asked at the door our party size. They had two entry lines based on table sizes. Since our party was four, we were sent to the shorter line and did not even have to wait to be seated. As we were walked to our table, we passed massive sailing ships complete with rows of hot and cold foods. The ceiling was reminiscent of the ocean skies. The entire restaurant felt like an experience already. I was amazed by the theming, cleanliness, and attention to details. For adults, the buffet is right around $50/person + drinks and tax. The buffet is all-you-can-eat with mutiple serving lines placed around the vast dining hall. As a picky eater, I was honestly a little worried that the offerings would primarily be seafood options; however, I was happily surprised that the buffet line had a LARGE selection ranging from Chicken Tenders and Fries to Pulled Pork and Macaroni and Cheese. I was actually very excited to find so many of my favorite foods and be able to eat just a little of them all! Some other offerings I added to my plate include hush puppies, corn on the cob, fried fish sticks, rolls, and cheddar biscuits all in one trip. My brother is more adventurous in his selection and was able to try different fish and crab legs with multiple trips. They had almost two whole buffet areas filled with seafood dishes that I didn't even visit. His favorite was just the shrimp! They also have a whole dessert room with a wide range of sweet dishes. To be honest, some of the food was mediocre or tasted similar to standard buffet-food-quality. The macaroni was a little bland. The fries were a little soggy. However, the restaurant was so busy that food was being rotated and changed out quickly on the buffet line. Overall, the entire experience was fun and unique. The restaurant was very expensive for a family of four, especially when you're not eating over the top or making multiple trips; however, the nautical theming, food selections, and service set this buffet apart from many others. You'll find something to eat whether you're picky or love the most adventurous of seafood dishes.

They had a few different bars that you could order at, with the main one being inside, another little hut outside, and a cash bar next to that. They also had a pretty cool live band, with a viewing patio right in front of the stage. In regards to my visit to Hot Fish, I'd say I was most impressed with the bartenders at the establishment, who did a great job under pressure. Even though the place was packed, and especially the bar area, they did a great job of remaining calm, and even got our drinks out in a relatively quick period of time. They also made some awesome blue Gatorade shots, which were some of the best shots I've ever had! I didn't necessarily love that there were cops standing guard at the entrance, but the bar's own security staff and bouncers were really nice, which isn't something you see at every one of these places. The only downsides to the Hot Fish Club were that many of the plastic chairs in the outside area were broken and cracked, making it kind of hard to sit a large-sized group like ours (they had a lot of wooden tables, but they were all taken), and that the restroom situation was awful. According to the girls in our group, the actual, physical restrooms were disgusting, forcing them to use the giant line of porta potties. This isn't a huge deal for guys, but it was a little uncomfortable for the ladies. Other than that, Hot Fish was great, and I'd highly recommend stopping by!
