This place is terrible and the service sucks. I came in looking for a wire harness. I've came in before when I first purchased my subwoofers, but not from here and one of sale associates tested my woofers for free. But recently when I pulled up the place looked deserted even when I walked in. No one was in sight. I hollered "hello" and no response.. no one came out. But when the phone rang one of the sale associates ran out from the back not even acknowledging me. He ran straight to the phone and answered it when I tried to ask him about the harness he put his finger up to his mouth as if he was shushing me. When he rudely ignored me I decided to leave. As I was walking towards the gated doors he said "please wait"! How in the heck you want me to wait when you treated me horribly. So, when I turned around. He said "yes, what did you want"?! I said, Do you have a wire harness for this radio *displaying the radio in hand*. He smirked, laughed and said no. Bull service, customers are not always first here. Paid $600 for this place to install a train horn. That was done in July, about two months ago the train horn fell off because it was installed with two self tapping screws. Been round and round with them on the phone and every time I go up there they give me the runaround. Finally today they gave me a set of horns That we're not horn blasters, and we're a different brand. Tells me to go get it fixed and that they won't be able to help me after that. Said that when he gave me the new set of horns he was not going to tell the owner that he was doing that. I would not recommend to go to this place because if something goes wrong they will not honor their mistake! This company has no morals or values. They totally took advantage of my daughter and her lack of knowledge on car stereo equipment. They convinced my daughter to buy their merchandise when clearly they knew the original item was still under warranty. HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!! This place ruined the my brand new car engine compartment (my car was 2011 4 days old) with amateur installation scratching the inside paint to ground out a wire. I also had them tint my windows and after 6 days they are starting to bubble up. I have been asking them for the last week to please fix my car and they keep ignoring me. They are not answering the phone and when I go there the manager/owner is never there and the one time he was he asked me to come back later. DO NOT bring your car here. To top it all off I told them before they even started to go to the website to see how to install the light and connect it to the electrical box. All they had to do was help me take care of this and I would not be posting this but I gave them plenty of chances to get this right and call me to do the right thing. Extremely poor install. I just purchased a car with a flawless interior and I wanted to install a backup camera for safety reasons, as this is my kids first car. Where do I start? They shattered part of my dash, cracked it in two places and nicked it in two other places. The camera placement made it useless, as I couldn't see 1/4 of the area behind the car. They only offered a small discount and asked full payment when it was repaired. After a month, they said the had the destroyed dash part (they didn't order the other cracked parts) and it was the wrong part! Weeks later, they still didn't have it and I finally gave up and got the part my self, in fear they would break more stuff. I guess they win by wearing out customers and wasting their time. They did move the camera to another place, but it was still a very poor install. The head unit was wobbly and exposed zip ties were everywhere under the car. They drilled extra holes and the head unit was having issues. The head unit was old, but after I adjusted it, it was clear they loosened something to cause issues. When I complained to the owner, he made it sound like it was common for the dash to break and I was lucky to even get a discount. I finally gave up and easily repaired some of the damage. These people are very low rent installers. I didn't go to small claims as I don't have the time for this BS, but I could have easily won. read more

I went there to get a radio installed. I had bought the radio online thinking I could install it myself..with no luck. I got there and the guy at the cash register immediately greeted me and got my truck taken care of pretty quickly. I was in and out in more or less than half an hour, including wait and pay. Could use some nicer sofas and maybe more discreet security fences (makes it look ghetto). However I was very pleased with the service and price. I purchased a new head unit from Ray (who I believe is the owner), and was given a very fair deal on the unit and installation. Ray was very knowledgeable about the products he offered and didn't try to upsell me. The problem with this business is the installation. When I got home, I noticed that my rear deck subs were not working at all. Since having speakers connected to the head unit is what installation is, I didn't think I needed to check before i left Discount Stereo to see if all my speakers were functioning. The next day, after driving back to Discount, they connect the rear subs. The following morning, I noticed a loud pop from the rear subs when turning on the ignition. After researching the issue online, I found the problem to be somewhat common, especially with Fords. When I went back to have this corrected, the installer seemed to know exactly what I was talking about and how to fix it. Then why not fix it during the install, instead of after the customer returns with the problem? I also noticed that my head unit screen showed two a/v inputs. One input is on the face of the unit, so I asked where the other input is, as the aux jack is many times placed in the glove box or the center console. He said they didn't run the second a/v line and that if I wanted to, I could connect the second input and run the cord wherever I liked. So, after I got home, I removed the head unit, installed the a/v line they were too lazy to connect, then put my dash back together. The three issues just explained were a real pain in the ass, but were resolved, either by Discount or by me. What I fear cannot be fixed is how they scratched my a/c trim piece/bezel during installation. I mean scratched it up all over. I told the installer about the scratches and he said, "Hmm...oh sorry, that happens sometimes." Nice. This piece alone isn't available from Lincoln, so I now spend some of my free time calling salvage yards and checking Craigslist for the tiny chance of maybe finding a replacement trim piece damaged by the installer at Discount Car Stereo. What an ordeal. This is my first experience with car audio installation and I certainly hope this isn't the norm. read more

COMPANY UNREACHABLE BY PHONE OR EMAIL. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I ordered the wrong item and returned it for a refund after obtaining an RMA. The item was delivered back to the shipping address as stated in the return instructions but no refund was issued for nearly 30 days. Multiple attempts to contact Discount Car Stereo's customer service department over several weeks via phone numbers listed on their website and email addresses also listed on their website went unanswered for weeks. I finally received a refund a month after the item had been returned and the rep acted like they had processed it a month ago, but the paypal refund was issued withing 10 minutes of him having sent the email instead of just owning up to the fact that they forgot or that it was overlooked. Doing business with a company that does not respond to all forms of contact listed on their website is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. Customers should be aware of this company's poor track record before purchasing anything from them. read more

Never have a problem with their installation either.
