I had a hangry 7-year-old waiting for pancakes, so I went to the bakery counter to get him a muffin and ordered a cinnamon roll to go. I was told they would bring both items to our table, but it would have saved a lot of time if they had simply handed them to me while I was already standing at the counter. I returned to the table, waited a few minutes, and then went back to ask if I could take the items to the table myself. By the time I returned with the muffin, our food had arrived.
