I was craving some Indian takeout for a self-care movie night, and India Palace was the closest spot! I ordered and picked up my food! The spot shares a very small parking lot with the attached brewery, so it's a bit of a roulette wheel on whether or not you'll find something close. The interior was nicer than expected: very clean, organized, and inviting! I didn't interact too much with the staff, but they were friendly and it was a smooth pick-up. I had the Delhi's Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan. The naan was tasty and not too buttery, which I appreciated. The Butter Chicken was surprisingly nuanced, with warm spices and a great combo of flavors. I'm used to Butter Chicken being some of the simplest Indian cuisine, so shout-out to India Palace for not being afraid to add some character to it. I did, however, find cartilage and a few decently sized bones in my chicken, which wasn't expected and detracted from the meal. Located in a strip mall in Burnsville, there is plenty of parking available. The inside is spacious and there is plenty of seating, and the booths are large. Service was friendly and the food came out fast. I ordered the Tandoori Dinner for 2 and I was blown away by how much food came with it! The samosa was hot and the outside was nice and crispy. The rogan josh was a little on the gamier side and the vegetable curry was flavorful. The sizzling plate of chicken, shrimp, veggies, and seekh kabab was incredible and the portion was so generous. The veggies had a little bit of acidity which helped balance the dish. The garlic naan was fluffy and loaded with butter and garlic. The kulfi has a mild sweetness but it was very creamy. The food and service were absolutely amazing here! Everything we ordered (appetizers, entrees, dessert, and lassis) were delicious. Our server was courteous, friendly, and very quick. The interior of the restaurant felt a little bare bones, but it was nice enough and clean. Food spice is on a 1-5 scale and we got 3, which didn't have a kick at all. This was a disturbing experience. We sat and ordered and then we noticed the staff and management treat minorities with disrespect. Disposables were provided for dine-in minority customers and when we asked why the server and manager said: "They are Somalis and we all know they ate messy and trash their area. I could tell just by looking at the chicken tikka masala that something was off, and I was right. I was delighted to see that the front area was packed with people picking up take-out. And, just like with other things, India Palace had created a welcoming, comfortable sitting area for those waiting. My order was easily more than one meal, by design. Leftovers were part of the plan! And I saw that a neatly packed bag was on the counter. So, I grabbed it. Took it to the car and checked it - my chicken mushroom, basmati rice, Aloo Gobi, and garlic naan were all in the bag. And, the staff had included a lagniappe - dessert. At home, the food was still hot and each dish was still hot enough to eat without reheating - and I'd specified that the Aloo Gobi and the chicken mushroom be prepared very mild. Enjoyed a meal here recently with friends after one of them told me that this was their go-to Indian spot. I tried the classic Chicken Tikka with rice and a side of garlic naan. I got non-spicy which I'm glad about because it was still a little (but probably appropriately) spicy. It was tasty and a huge portion. My only complaint was that it was kind of dry. The garlic naan was only just ok and not that buttery goodness. My friends got two other dishes and a drink and the total came to just over $50. Really great place to enjoy some tasty Indian food right in the heart of Burnsville. Located in an inconspicuous strip mall, the interior gives way to a very bright, trendy, and clean space with bold accents and colors. Their menu is just as bright, bold, and clean. If you like choices, you will love this place. There was so many things to look through and choose from that it was a little overwhelming but luckily we had a few people who were from India and so helped us navigate what we would like. You can choose your spice level and customize each dish to your liking, the staff were very accomodating. We tried an assortment of standard Indian dishes such as Spinach Paneer, Rogan Josh, Tiki Masala, and Eggplant Curry. Every entree is served with a healthy portion of Basmati Rice. Make sure to order a couple orders of flatbread with your meal, you will not be disappointed. The entree sizes are very gracious and we had extras to take home for later, which made for a tasty lunch the next day. We will definitely be back and utilize this location for Indian carry-out as their dishes are authentic, customizable, and tasty. I sort of worried about going back to work smelling like an Indian buffet, but oh well, I was committed now. I walked in with a co-worker around 11am. We were the only customers there. This was a bit alarming at first, but many others started to trickle in. We were seated quickly and they let us know the buffet had a few items and the rest were coming. Score, we got fresh food. I went for the basmati rice, some cauliflower curry thing, beef vindaloo, green stuff with tofu, the chicken tikka, and chicken tandoori. My first bite was rice and beef vindaloo and it put me in an orgasmic state. Everything was fresh of the stove and flavorful. I can't even name a favorite, but the must tries are the chicken tikka and tandoori. Make sure to dunk your naan in a giant bowl of beef vindaloo too. The staff was friendly and quick. They checked on us often.The restaurant was very clean. I dirtied it up. They have white linens. I had random sauce stains all around my plate. I tried to wipe it away and it smeared across the tablecloth instead. So I did what anyone else would do. I covered the stains with my plate, napkin, fork, and spoon and then I left. read more

I went for the lunch buffet. Although the staff is friendly, there's a jarring disconnect in the hosting/seating process. This makes the initial impression upon entering the restaurant a bit awkward. The actual buffet offered standard Indian fair. The standouts for me were there chili chicken and fish pakora. Every thing else seemed average. A nice buffet spread is on hand during lunch hours. This morning, they offered chicken rogan josh, tandorri chicken, beef curry, green beans aloo, mushroom curry, and a couple of other vegetarian dishes. Naan is served on the buffet as well as an appetizer--it was fried vegetables today. There's also a cold bar with dessert, chutneys, raita, and salad. Food is seasoned very nicely and appeared to be refilled quite often. Service staff is very efficient in cleaning dirty plates and refilling water glasses. However, on my most recent visit I was a little turned off that the cashier engaged in another conversation during the entirety of my "check out" time and couldn't bothered to interrupt it to say thank you. read more
