I concur with a lot of reviewers about Bill's vast knowledge, and generosity in taking ample time to share it & help me save money by learning all the things that I DON'T need done that many mechanics have tried to tell me NEED to be done simply because they want my money. He gave me clear info on what needs to be done and at what mileage intervals, and I took notes on everything I previously had enough bad experiences with auto shops, including the dealer, that I decided to go to Bill based on a referral, because I wanted to see the work done right in front of me and ask as many questions as I felt I needed to. My previous negative experiences gave me reason to want to have my car worked on with me standing there watching. I tend to have a lot of anxiety about my car getting serviced so I had many many questions and concerns, any he kindly answered all of them while doing his work. I was having some issues with my Toyota Camry and before driving it any further, I contacted Bill. Since I live close by, he was kind enough to stop by a few hours later to help me quickly diagnose an issue with my wheel and power steering fluid. We found that the tie rod needed to be replaced. He also pointed out a power steering hose leak and recommended I get it fixed at a shop since it's a complicated and messy job. Bill was very kind, knowledgeable, and honest. He helped me understand the issues, and it allowed me to confidently get the repairs done. I ended up getting a new power steering pressure hose and rack & pinion, followed by an alignment. This is a review of Entirely Toyota (Bill) for an alternator replacement on a 2011 Toyota Highlander. It's a real pain when a vehicle needs repair and stuck in the garage. I was faced with towing to get an estimate or conceding to tow it to a dealership for "reliable" service at ridiculously overcharged costs. I used Yelp's project estimate feature which pulled in Entirely Toyota and four repair shops in the Dublin-San Ramon to request estimates . Bill At Entirely Toyota messaged me back with his phone number so we could discuss the issue/details so he could give me an accurate estimate. Because Entirely Toyota offers mobile service my situation became a lot more easier. Bill was very polite, clearly communicated what needed to be done and gave a very fair price including parts and labor. He picked up the alternator ahead of the appointment and arrived on time. The job was done in the 2.5 hours as Bill precisely estimated. He was organized, neat, efficient and methodical in completing the repairs. He did not leave a trace of dirt, oil, or anything behind. After Bill completed the repairs, he took the time to give me advice on which ACTUAL IMPORTANT required maintenance to have performed on my specific vehicle. This is rare since most vehicle repair companies want you to come back to make more money as often as possible. I'm not saying you shouldn't pay mind to your vehicle maintenance schedule, but Bill who worked at a dealership in the past, openly said unless you drive your vehicle very often, in stop-and-go traffic or rough conditions. you do t need to treat your vehicle like a Formula 1 race car. Breath of fresh air and a lot of professional courtesy and honesty from Bill who earned every penny. It's been several months and the vehicle is working perfectly with no issues. I highly recommend Entirely Toyota (Bill) for any vehicle repairs. When I first saw all the five-star ratings, I was skeptical. I called, probed, and took my time evaluating. As I was talking with Bill my excitement kept rising up. I had finally found the holy grail in a person/place to take care of my car - highly experienced, expert knowledge, no-nonsense, very reasonably priced. And oh, how about Honesty, you ask? Don't even need to take anyone's word for it. With Bill you get to watch him do all the work, and he even teaches you a bit about your car and what is needed and not needed to care for it. Went to the Acura dealership for an oil change. They told me I should be thinking of front brakes replacement soon. I was dreading going to the dealership and waiting or getting a loaner car for a few hours as they replaced my brake pads and do a brake flush. I remember looking for a local mechanic on Yelp a few months ago and saw Entirely Toyota (Japanese) and read that he was a mobile mechanic that comes to your house. I decided to call and left a message. Bill the owner called me back and asked some questions if my brakes were giving me noises and why I thought I needed brakes?! I told him the dealership told me! Bill explained that if the brakes didn't make a horrible sound that I had time to replace the brake pads. He told me to order some pads either at the dealership or order online to save some money. He recommended to get the original pads from Acura. So I finally got my brake pads and gave Bill a call. He came over to my place and I backed my car into the garage. He had everything he needed to replace the pads. While he was doing it he was explaining what he was doing and the correct way to do it. He flushed the brake fluids as he changed the pads. He has a special little bottle that the old brake fluid flows into while he is changing the pads. He finished both pad replacements in about an hour. He left our garage spotless with no fluids anywhere. While Bill was working we talked for a bit. You can tell he's a very honest person and also knows his craft very well. I got both of my 2009 Toyotas serviced close to 100K and 150K miles at the end of May, and they have been running smoothly. What I appreciate most about Bill is he shares his wealth of information with every interaction I've had with him. Even before I ever got my cars serviced with him, he impressed me with his willingness to give free, helpful information. It's why I was willing to trust him with not just one but two cars for the first time I did business with him. He has given me a easily followable formula to take care of my cars, and I now know what to do and when to do it because of him. In terms of price, for my specific situation, I saved about 50% going with him instead of an auto shop. And because he's a mobile mechanic, it was super convenient for me and I didn't have to deal with either waiting at an auto shop or arranging rides back and forth. He's also clear and honest about where he adds value. If I need just an oil change and other low-cost standard service, he encouraged me to go to the oil change shop like I've been doing. If I need specialty work or standard maintenance at the major milestones, that's where he is better-priced than the auto shop. He uses OEM parts from the dealer. I appreciate OEM for major parts that need to be replaced. He was OK with me buying my own parts and even gave me a quick lesson on when to buy OEM online versus the dealer. It's usually worth it to buy online if you have a small part that is expensive but doesn't weigh much and therefore doesn't incur much shipping cost. I did save money buying my own parts, but given the shipping cost and all the time I put into the research, you might find it worth it to just have him get it from the dealer and let him charge you his markup. All in all, I look forward to booking my next major milestone maintenance with Bill! Thank you Bill for educating me and making me a more knowledgeable car owner! read more

I was having start-up issues with my 10 year old Lexus. Bill, as I had experienced before, offered sage advice and encouragement that this was another issue I could probably handle on my own. He only gets parts from the delaer but since my car is very old and I only want my car for another year or 2, I asked if he would install the car if I get a generic starter myself and he agreed to. For a couple of months I have had a "check engine" light appear on the dash board of my 2005 Toyota Tundra. I checked with various auto repair shops to find out how much it would cost to have it diagnosed and repaired and find out what was causing it. I received estimates all the way from $90 to $230 just for the diagnoses. A couple included parts. I happened to come across Bill at Entirely Toyota. He suggested I go to an auto parts store where they would attach a computer to a code under the steering wheel. This was news to me. I went to O'Reillys Auto Parts in Dublin, and free of charge they did that. The results indicated a small leak in the Evaporative Emission Control System. They recommended I take my truck to Automotive Consultants in Dublin, which I did. The gentleman was very helpful. He said it could be a few things causing it, but suggested I start by replacing the original gas cap which was over 18 years old. This I did, and two days later the "check engine" light was gone! I initially took my 2012 Toyota Prius to the Dublin Toyota service center and they were unable to properly diagnose the issue with my car. I paid $185 for them just to tell me it was an issue that I later on found out wasn't actually the issue. I found all the great reviews on entirely Toyota and gave Bill a call and immediately he had me scheduled at his house to take a look at the car. Within 20 minutes Bill was able to figure out the issue with the Prius and talk me through all the details of what I would need to repair the transmission. Unfortunately he does not do transmissions due to not having the equipment but was still very knowledgeable in helping me stay away from all the pitfalls when I do get it repaired. Bill must have spent at least 45 minutes to an hour explaining everything to me but he did not charge me a single dime. Next time I have any issues with my Toyota I will definitely be going to Bill and referring people to him, he is extremely knowledgeable and super nice. read more

My car makes noise when braking (front brakes). I went to him, he inspected and said the brakes pads are fine. Asked me to get exact measurement next time I do tire rotation, just to make sure.
