Have been buying my tires here for years. Came to have my tires rotated and balanced. They always have great service and prices.

This is the store that I used to use but will never go there again. My girlfriend needed a single tire changed. After giving her a hard time when she didn't take upsells and didn't change the other rear tire (which had been changed only 3 weeks previous) they changed the tire but DEFLATED to 30psi all the other tires (the TPM caught it before she even left the parking lot of course). But guess what, magically since then that same tire they insisted she should change tire has a slow valve stem leak that was not there before. Will NEVER EVER use that location again. Edit: the response by the owner has a non-clickable URL (had to hand type that monstrosity) that goes to a fleet login, no way to create an account, no anything. More proof not to do business there. read more

I talked with Josh on the phone and ultimately made an appointment online and ordered tires. Unfortunately they only received 2 of them. Josh handled the situation incredibly professionally and ended up with a better set of tires for the same price. I made an appointment with discount tires for a rotation and balancing. Evan checked my tires and stated that one of them was not eligible for balancing and rotation. He showed me the tires for sale and ended up-selling me for a set of tires costing $744. I waited 45 minutes and still no service. After discussing with my husband, I decided to change my mind. Chaotic atmosphere ... even with an appointment. Just rush to get you out. Used decades old lead weights to balance tires instead of spin balancing. And rusted weights were on outside of tire instead of inside out of view. Feel that I did not get my values worth. Other issues but will stop by saying not recommended. read more

Ok, so I wont be back to Discount Tire on Paseo. They replaced 2 tires for me. The fine print on the invoice shows $72 for "2 certificates" which they did not provide me. I called and spoke to a Chris who said he would email them to me. But they never arrived. I consider junk fees to be a deterrent to doing business. One star is too many. read more

Never coming back here, they used to have good customer service and weren't too pushy but the most recent visit was quite the opposite. The rep was overly pushy about buying other services when I stated, I did not want them and then preceded to argue with me and misplaced my wheel lock nut in the shop and I had to ask for it. He then preceded to tell me it's in my cup holder which it was not there. Terrible overall service they don't deserve even a star. read more

Outstanding service from start to finish. These guys are awesome. Professional, personable, and competent. Ordered new tires from the local Volvo dealer. Waited 3 weeks, and got a "We can't find the order" and "We can't get the tire" Got fed up with the run around. Went to Discount Tire. "Yes, we can have your tires in tomorrow morning, would you like a 2:00PM appointment?" Showed up a little early, was served right away. 35 minutes later, new tires and I'm out the door. Nice there's a Starbucks right next door for a coffee while you wait. Here is the BEST thing I found out about Discount Tires. They have a manned air station. Drive up and get your tire pressure checked. How great is that? No more getting screwed by gas station air that charge you and don't work. To the management and staff of Discount Tire, thank you. I have gone here for the past few years. Ordered my tires from here and have my tires rotated every time here. I would even give them a $10 tip each time because it was so fast. I Have had excellent service every time until today. Had a 1:00 appointment and arrived at 12:50 they asked for my information and I informed the person at the front that I am early for my appointment. He told me he would take my info and put me in the Que. He said we will get back to you in 15 to 20 min and after we will let you know when we can get you in. The gentleman next to me said he had an appointment as well and has been waiting 2 hours to get his tires rotated. At 1:15 I inquired about my appointment and they said sorry but it will be a while until I could be in the Que to be seen. read more

Shady unethical business practice. Be careful! This is to anyone's mom, dad, sister, or brothers. I've been a customer for over 10 years and a couple of times I've experience unethical practices. If you're ignorant to cars, be aware you will be taken advantage of. Discount tire does NOT have your best interest in mind. Common sense I know, but I want to warn others. Considering that most employees are teenagers who barely graduated high school barely above minimum wage, be aware that they will do there best to make a quick buck off of you. Common scenarios 1. Your tire maybe fine and you don't need a replacement. 2. Your lug nuts may "mysterious" go missing so they can sell you a set of new ones and then tell you some bs saying "sorry you're not allowed to leave discount tire because of safety concerns." If you ever encounter this, no business can "detain" your car. Immediately call the cops. Or show me your bs policy in fine print. 3. They may purposely "crossthread" your lug nuts destroying your lugs resulting in more money repairs because (1) they're hypocritical, not giving a shit about your "safety." Trying to do some unethical bs so your car won't leave their parking lot. (2) not properly trained. Common sense says that power tools can cross threads your lugs with over torque, duh! 4. Purposely engage in small talk to see how much money you have to scheme up any of the above. To the people if Albuquerque, rich, poor, old, or young, you've been warned! Be careful of unethical behavior. And for the sake of the argument, statistically speaking, how many people die because they're missing only 1 of their 5 lug nuts? 5-1= 4 more lug nuts to hold my tire! Yeah, that's what I thought! I'm more statistically to die from covid then missing 1 lug nut in my car. If discount tire really cares about your safety, why not replace the lug nut for FREE instead of trying to upsell bs? read more

A couple days ago a rear tire blew out as I turned a corner onto Coors. I heard a loud "bamm" as I did so & didn't know what to think- the traffic was getting busy as it was around 4:00- then my car started acting up and it started getting noisy - I was beginning to worry as I am a very senior citizen woman, shaking really hard at this point, I didn't want to stop, only lived about 2 miles away so continued home. I was shocked to find no tire left on the rim but hanging on under the car! Called for a tow after a couple days to Discount Tire on Paseo/San Pedro, Friday afternoon, very busy, but all the service personnel were smiles & very nice; hardly any wait time before they got to my car; told me the bad news that not only was I needing a replacement plus the one across from it but all 4 tires! They were 10 years old, they figured, cracked & just didn't want to touch them & really needed for me to get new ones- this was the second opinion I needed!! So thankful they were gently telling this to me & I gladly told them yes. The ride home was so quiet, the old tires must have been snow tires, they felt so soft in comparison, and I was thanking my Lord all the way for this shop full of gentle men & experienced in what they were doing there! Just had a great experience at this Paseo del Norte location. Picked up a large nail in one of my Tacoma's relatively new tires. They got me in right at my appointment time, and repaired my tire for free within an hour! They could have told me I needed a new tire, but they earned my trust and my future business. I can't believe I have never reviewed Discount Tire before now. It's not like I haven't been here several times before. I've been getting tires at Discount Tire for easily fifteen or twenty years. It is always a pleasant experience. They have you in and out as fast as possible, don't do a sales job on you, and always honor their warranty (even when the tire replacement was more your fault then theirs.) It's never cheap, but it's excellent value and I never fear being taken advantage of. Good, consistent service is harder than it appears, and Discount Tire does an excellent job. I was heading home -- a 3-1/2 hour journey -- when my tire had a problem. Being a senior with some health issues, I was pretty stressed. Altho I didn't have an appointment, Discount Tires fixed my tire within an hour, and I safely travelled home. All of the workers, particularly Tanner, were very kind and concerned for my safety. If their slogan isn't "we'll be here for ya'", it certainly should be. I believe his name was Larry, but when he looked up my car and said they had plenty of options in stock, it was nice to hear. I could hear phones ringing and could tell it was busy but you never would have known. He took the time to make sure I had my questions answered. After I called my wife she told me she had hers fixed at a different location. Great guys, quality work. Strongly recommend. Don't risk it, and treat your car like Discount treats their customers. Unreliable location. Been the past few times for air checks and it was 20+ minutes wait or I've just end up leaving. I've also bought tires from them in the past and had a similar experience. It's understandable to be busy but they also won't answer their phones or provide waiting customers with time updates. Biggest waste of my time waiting to get my tire pressure checked. I was the first in line. There was one car waiting ahead of me in front of the bays for its tire pressure check. I was told to wait until that car was finished. Twenty minutes passed, and nobody had even gone near the car that was ahead of me. I called inside the store to ask them how much longer the wait would be. They assured me they'd have somebody check on the situation. Nobody did. I left. Again, major waste of my time. I arrived a few minutes early for my appointment, the staff signed me in and got me into the queue. Within 10 minutes my car was on the rack and staff were working on replacing the tires. I was in and out with new tires in 30 minutes. I appreciate the courtesy and efficiency of the Discount Tires (Paseo del Norte) staff.
