The truck was dropped off on August 28 and was not marked "ready" until November 21, nearly 12 weeks later. During the repair process, we were repeatedly told it would be "two more weeks," but the completion date kept moving. Communication with both us and USAA was slow, inconsistent, and often nonexistent. Because of the shop's extreme delays, we incurred additional rental car costs. Ratchet Industries agreed to reimburse us for the rental expense, and USAA has a record of that agreement. The amount still owed to us is $1,604.84. After agreeing to pay, the shop again repeatedly told us payment would be made in "two weeks," but no payment was made. At the shop's request, we even tried working with them on a payment plan, but those payment dates have long passed and they are no longer communicating with us. As a final attempt to resolve this, we offered to accept half of the amount owed if paid by the deadline we gave them, which is now about six months after we incurred the rental cost. We still received no payment and no communication. When the truck was finally marked "ready" on November 21, it was not actually complete or properly put back together. The new drip moldings had not been installed, the interior paneling had been put back loosely and needed repair, the middle light housing was broken, and screws were missing from the tailgate molding. We have been very patient and gave Ratchet Industries many opportunities to resolve this. We are requesting payment of the $1,604.84 rental reimbursement they agreed to pay, or at minimum a written response and immediate plan for repayment.

I scheduled twice to fix the problems, and the owner didn't show up either time. He just left me waiting outside his shop, no one was there and no one answered the phone when I called. He generally won't pick up the phone when I call and doesn't reply anymore to text messages. I also never received the STEK warranty. He claims to be a STEK authorized installer, but his business doesn't show up as one on the STEK website, make of that what you will. Poor quality work and unprofessional, I'll never be back.

Not to mention he replaced my battery without telling me or having any open communication. I had to go to his store because he was avoiding me. When I come in to pay he starts talking a lot, yapping about nonsense distracting me so I would not have time to actually understand the paper i was signing and the amount of money I was paying him for returning my car in worse shape than it was. He charged me $350.00. I will never be going to that shop again, and I am leaving it with a bad taste in my mouth. I was recommended to Dan from a collision service while I was calling around to find someone to fix a broken wheel bearing. He got me in within a day before the holiday and repaired it for a minimal charge. I came back when my car was having trouble accelerating a couple months later. I own an old hybrid vehicle. I dropped it off at 10am. Dan told me he set my car to idle for 20 minutes. after letting it sit at his shop all day. he ended up draining the battery and it died. He ends up buying a new battery and installing it. I have not had any communication with him at all up to that point. I had actually called twice and was sent to voicemail. I then called on my partners phone and it went straight to voicemail as if the phone was off. I show back up at 5pm after trying to get in touch. He tells me he killed my battery and a new one is on the way. It will be ready in an hour. We come back in an hour and they're sitting in my car. Dan tells me that my car is dead and will not start. He allowed me to leave it over night. I ask him for a written invoice of what he exactly did. He proceeded to get upset with me before agreeing to get the invoice to me the next day (after trying to lie and downplay the negligence he had with my car). I got a call back at 9:38 the next morning saying oh we got your car running. It turns out there is a reset switch on the car and he did some research, figured it out and started my car. Dan did not take me seriously, he did not have me agree to any work done before he did it and he charged me a hefty amount. I am upset that I paid what i did. I knew more about my car than he did.
