I don't recommend patronizing ANY store last-minute, but in this case I had to... and even though I came in at 4:10 pm when they closed at 5 pm, they were able to help me get new tires before they closed... and they were plenty busy, too. I had an issue when I moved back to Colorado. My tire got a nail in it where it couldn't be fixed. My brother suggested Discount tire. The manager gave me a tire to help me out. I just moved and didn't have any money left. Was the best decision I made that day 2 almost 3 yrs ago. I needed new tires and gave them a call. They were able to keep the tires for my Dodge Journey Crossroads under $900.00. Staff was amazing. I will always take my business for tires here. The manager is amazing, the tire techs are quick. I have a lot more good things to say about Discount Tire, in general, than bad, but unfortunately it took a bad experience for me to want to report anything. First, some of the good things...I love the fact, that I have never been challenged about how I received a flat tire. As long as I have had a sufficient amount of tread on the tire and the leak is not on the sidewall, Discount Tire has always repaired the flat for free. When I have needed new tires, they have offered the best price for the best quality of tire, even when one of the set of tires I bought had to be discounted down by about $120 for the set to match a competitor's price. Until recently, I have been very pleased with Discount Tire. On January 2, 2021, however, I took my car to 1160 S. Chambers Rd. to have my tire repaired. On a Saturday, I was lucky enough to have my car enter and leave the shop in about one hour. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, I drove my own car into the shop, and watched the whole process as the tire was removed and a repair attempt was made. My car served as a front-seat waiting room with a view of the repair facility. It took my repair person considerably longer to return my tire to the balance machine after his repair attempt was made. Not knowing until I returned home and tried to go to work later that evening that my tire had received a "repair" in the wrong location. My tire was flat again, and I was therefore late going to work. To make a long story short, the repair person did not make the right decision when encountering difficulty locating the leak in my tire. Instead of re-mounting and re-inflating the tire and looking for the leak under water, he evidently guessed as to it's location based upon a marker pen mark on the side of the tire indicating the approximate location of the leak. I am sure Discount Tire would repair my tire if I brought it back, but I haven't had time yet. read more

But my oldest was supposed to receive an academic award at school within an hour or so. When I explained this, they immediately replaced the valve for me and I was out the door within 30 minutes. My service tire monitoring system light came on and another tire place told me I needed to replace all the sensors at $100 each. I called around and discount quoted me $60 each. I dropped the car off and about 30 mins later got a call saying they were able to reset them no problem and there was no charge. I had already authorized the $240 and they could have just done it but were honest and up front with me. Overall, I was really impressed. read more

I've been to this location several times now, and won't go anywhere else. The guys behind the counter are always considerate for what i need in my budget. Every time I've felt like they actually treated me like a human being, not just a customer. Example of them going beyond was when i came into their location with a tire which was going flat repeatedly. Came up needing a new tire, i had NO money to afford this, the gentleman on duty that night could tell i was in need. He ended up finding a decent used tire, and put in on my car, charging me nothing. That's how you get repeat business. read more

It's a tire shop, so don't expect spa treatment in the waiting room, but they will give you a good deal, and they respect your car, too. They don't "hot rod" around the lot. They're careful with your vehicle. Just got some new tires for my wife's car. They made sure I was aware of all the specials and rebates available. Wouldn't you know it, 10 days later she gets a screw in one of them and it goes flat. No problem. We air it up, drive it over, and they get it turned around in a little more than an hour on a busy day. Nothing to pay, just a thank you for bringing it to them. The guys are nice to deal with, although they are regularly short-handed at the counter. However, it's because they're helping so many people, and not because they are goofing off. I've never seen anyone at the counter or in the shop standing still. These guys do good work, and fast. read more

My tire blew out this evening, and after waiting for roadside assistance, I got to Discount Tire around 5:15. I always feel bad showing up at places so near to their closing time, but Josh was incredibly nice. He also spent forever talking to my mom on the phone & waited while I sent a picture of the quote to my brother in law (my family needs to have a say in anything car-related). By the time I finally paid it was after 6 pm. Jerk move on my part. I know what it's like to get some sort of last minute job right as you think you're closing, and it sucks. The cool thing was that Josh was still really professional AND didn't make me feel like a bad person for the inconvenience I caused the business. I called discount tire and they found the correct tire I needed, gave me a rough estimate, and tried to shuffle some of the prices around in order to give me a better deal. At first I just needed one tire, but then I realized that I needed two just to make sure the car was well balanced. Tyler at Discount Tire helped me make a decision on a good tire for a great price. They also had it done pretty quickly as well. My only small complaint about my experience was the fact that the lobby was packed and insanely loud. I'm going to keep this short and sweet. My husband had our car towed to Discount Tire on a Saturday morning due to a flat. So we're just sitting around having breakfast, watching tv, reading the paper...look up and it's like 4 o'clock. No receipt of a phone call about our car being ready. Hubby calls them...some guys tells us our car has been ready for awhile but a "used" tire has been placed on our car. Hubby explains that we have a tire replacement plan so no used tires should be on the vehicle. Anywho...we drive over there. Jimmy, I believe his name was, wants to tells us someone did call us and he was "standing right there when he left a voice message. It went straight to voicemail." Needless to say my husband was upset as he never received any voicemail. Then Jimmy wants to say "I swear on my mother." and this guy's a manager. Then he starts to apologize for his new guy giving bad information. That he should have told us that a used tire was put on because the Goodyear tire needed was not in stock. Uhhhmmm...I'm thinking if he gave us poor information, then you would have called us right back? I'll go ahead and give them two stars for putting a used tire on the car until the new tire came in. At least, that kept us from having to call off from work that coming Monday. Also, when I came in Monday to get the new tire installed, there was a gang of people. It was packed! I could tell he squeezed me in because the wait didn't seem too long. I think I might have to venture to the Discount Tire on Iliff & Buckley from now on. It's a little drive but I noticed they quoted my husband better prices on our truck than this one on Chambers. I mean come on...it's the same freakin' company. Came in about two months ago and purchased a tire that was new but priced out as a used tire due to them compensating for another issue that happened at this location. I was told they can rotate, fix any slow leaks, leaks etc...My tire went low over night and realized I couldn't drive on it. It had of all things a nail in it. Took it off brought it down to this location in my other vehicle. Gentlemen said there was no warranty on the tire because it was used, spoke with the store manager, he said it's not fixable because of the inner wall of the tire was damaged. I payed $50 for the tire at the time, and the solution was to purchase another tire? Out of all the solutions, purchase a new tire was the only one. I've only had issues at this particular location. I chose to take my "unfixable" tire to another location to see if they will be able to help with other options vs sell me another tire.the tire was 2 months in use. I will update after the sale. I have lived in this area for over 10 years. Not once have I walked into this location and left disappointed. Each and every staff member has been polite, honest, helpful, often finding ways to cut costs when it just wasn't possible and not one time have I ever felt mistreated or judged. It is places and people like this who truly help the neighborhood and have nothing but the utmost respect while doing so. My grandfather passed away almost 2 weeks ago and I needed a tire for a trailer to help clean out his house almost 3 hours East of here, when I walked in today, each of the staff greeted me, was friendly, kind and went out of there way to help me. CJ you are above reproach and you have a special place in my heart with your upcoming heartbreaking anniversary. I just want to say thank you so very much. I called about 5 places and this one beat them out of the water. Went in, told me 30 min, but finished in 15 min.
