Nov. 6, 2023- I've had my vehicles serviced / purchased tires at the 13000 IH-35 location 10+ years. I have also referred family / friends. This morning I arrived to the location at 7:38 am. There was one customer there ahead of me. Another vehicle pulled up around 7:50a or so next to me. A gentleman in a Grey truck ( Caucasian) pulled at 7:55 am. The employees come out of the bldg but gravitate to the gentleman who arrived last in the Geey truck. I've been going to Discount Tire long enough to know, normally they'll observe who arrived first or ask who was first. They'll check your tires and get your mileage, then you walk in the store so they can verify your info. None of these steps took place this morning. Almost every vehicle was being waited on except for mine and I arrived earlier. I walked in and asked to speak to the Manager (Antonio) who was off today. I was directed to the Asst Mgr (Alex). I asked the sales rep to let Alex know I would like to talk to him and I have a complaint. The sales rep went to the last bay to let Alex know I wanted to speak with him. The sales rep returned saying Alex will be with me shortly. In the meantime, other vehicles are being serviced and I'm still waiting. I went to the bay where Alex was. We greeted one another. I said I had a complaint and wanted to know my vehicle wasn't in one of the bays? I said Iwas here before the Grey truck. Alex said the man in the Grey truck had been there earlier but had to go get gas. I assume this man was waited on first because he had been there initially, which wasn't explained when sales reps came out. Alex went on to say they are quick and my vehicle will be pulled in soon. Alex didn't care about what i was talking about nor did he apologize for this mix-up or inconvenience. My vehicle was driven into a bay eventually. I'm a Valued customer and have Always bought tires with Discount Tire. I'm still in disbelief as to the way I was treated. I would like to know when Discount Tire started holding places in line for customers, when they leave the premises? It's never been offered to me. They might try to upcharge you with some things you don't need like tires you didn't know you needed to replace and window wiper stuff, but that's understandable, it's a business after all. Those tires prolly did need to be replaced, you're just a penny pinching speed racer and danger is your middle name, legally. For the value and convenience this place offers, screw it, they can try to sell me air fresheners and exhaust pipe bubble machines for all I care. This place is CLUTCH. I had a screw in my tire and it was time to have my tires rotated and balanced (I purchased the tires at this store, as well as 4 other sets of car tires). I made an appointment and all went well, until on my way home I noticed that one of the wheel covers was not put on all the way. I also noticed that instead of 35 psi, one tire was reading 54 psi! When I got home, I noticed one of the valve covers missing as well. In the past I have had a number of issues ranging from lost wheel lock key, damaged rim, and outright being lied to by an employee (he looked at my tire and said I didn't need to have them rotated and balanced by the appearance only). Not sure if it is the location or the Discount Tire chain. I have been being top end tires here for years and never cease to be surprised by the poor workmanship at Discount Tire. The place to go for tires. All of my cars get their tires here. Get the warranty, it covers alot and will save you money. Went for the free air pressure test and they recommended a tire rotation. I can totally tell the difference as I drive. The rotation is a $200 value, all free when you purchase tires here. read more

Incompetent at every step. Brought my vehicle in for alignment, tire rotation, and rebalancing. After 3 hours they did nothing. They claimed they rotated my tires, but I could tell they didnt. When I pointed this out to the tech, he didn't respond. Then they said they could do my alignment next. I declined since I'd wasted enough time and didn't trust them to do it right. Got in my vehicle and discovered they never returned my wheel lock. Went back inside and waited another 30 minutes for them to find it. They lost it. Came back 2 days later to pick up a replacement wheel lock. They ordered the wrong one. Now I have to go to Chevy and buy the correct one out of pocket, because these people can't do anything right. I wasted 4 hours on them already and if I want to get reimbursed for the $100 I'll have to spend at Chevy, then I'll have to waste another hour of my life driving back here to deal with the lowest of the low. If you value your life, don't waste a single moment of it here. read more

I will give this place a zero or negative star if that option was available. I took my car in to change all four tires and the technician broke one of my tire pressure sensors. They told me they'll order the part and it'll be there the next day or two at which point they'll call me to bring my car in. One week later, no one has called me. I've called multiple times and each time the person on the phone dgaf. They just keep posting me. What type of customer service is this???? After spending over $1200 on tires I end up with broken sensor and no accountability! I'm really disappointed and definitely will not return here again! I've been coming to this Dscount Tire for a while for all my tire needs on 3 cars. In fact, my family has used nothing but Discount Tire for all of our cars. Just like every other store, the service and people here are super friendly and do whatever they can to help you with your tire needs. I came in today to replace 4 tires (which had been in stock the previous day but not today). Even though they didn't have it, one of the guys drove to a different store that did and picked up the tires so that I could still get my tires replaced. Most other shops would probably have lazy employees that would tell me to come back another day, but not the people here, which is very much appreciated. The tire certs that they sell can't be beat. They do free rotations, balance, air pressure, and flat fixes. They do the free air and flat fixes EVEN IF YOU DIDNT GET TIRES FROM THEM. If you have their certs and they're not able to fix your flat, they'll replace your tire for free! As much as I love Costco, I've weighed the pros and cons for both, and to keep a long story short, Discount Tire comes out on top. They will continue to have my business probably for years to come. read more

I have been a loyal customer with discount for more than twenty years. My husband and I have always had 3 vehicles and used your company for tires. We have NEVER had any issues till recently. I have a 650 grand coupe BMW and I took it to get air in the front driver side tire that kept going low. They took the tire off the car and sprayed water one tires where it mounts to the wheel and said I needed to get the wheel resurfaced it was leaking and not making a good seal. I looked around for a week and found some new rims for the car. I called the discount in Bastrop and asked if they could order them for me. The staggered fit for the BMW and would they fit properly? (like they say on the website they would) I was assured they would fit and the rims were ordered thousands of dollars later. The wheels come in and one of them is damaged and needed sent back for different one. So I now have three new wheels and one old wheel. Driving home the car was shaking HORRIBLE like it was going to fall apart. I went right back and they re-balanced them. After hours being there it still was shaking but I had to get home to pick up my kids. My Husband returned the next day to have them balanced again and they told him that it was caused by the difference in the weight of wheels 3 new 1 older rim. That actually did make sense that this would have a shimmy to it but not a complete shake. The last rim comes in and I took the car in and it was mounted and the shake it even worse with 4 new wheels mounted. So I returned again after leaving again for re-balance. This time I was told I would need to think about new tires on the BMW that had run flat tires with less than 20K miles on them. Fine, I need my car fixed .....again, thousands of dollars later I ordered tires to fix the issue. The tires come in and I go to get them placed on the car 3+ hours waiting for my car to be pulled into a bay after I was told to come on it was a 45 min wait. Finally the car was finished with 1500 in wheels and almost 2000 in tires and MANY trips to balance and fix... I leave and the car is making a very loud horrible screeching sound from the wheels. It was raining horrible this day and I had to hurry back to get my kids from school. I got home and told my husband about it. He went to look at the tires and my brake dust covers were bent when the wheel was placed back on the car on 3 of the wheels. (I have pictures of this) The dust covers were digging into my rotors is what the sound was. The only people that have touched this car and many times over the last few weeks was Bastrop Discount tires. I called back to speak to Manager Jeff and let him know what was going on at 5-6 pm and he said to drive it back up there. At this point I am thousands of dollars into the car and STILL CANT DRIVE IT. He wants me to allow them to look at my brakes and they can't seem to get the tires right? I am VERY disappointed in the lack of care or customer service. I have been back to 1-35 3 times and they still can't get this car balanced. Omg and corporate has not contacted me at all! Went to this discount tire location. My tire had a screw in it and was losing air. I asked Hunter if I could get a patch. He seemed irritable that I asked and told me that the tire was completely damaged and that the tires inside was crushed. All I did was ask for a patch and he seemed like it wasn't going to work. I need up going to Walmart and got My tire patched. It's been almost a week and my tire is holding air and driving Just fine. read more

Noticed that my tire was flat, got the pump out to blow it up,called Discount Tires to see if the repair flats,they do. Drive over there and waited for about 30 minutes, afterwards they handed me my keys and said No Charge!, what,really, girl who repaired it said that as long as your name is in their computer,flats are free to repair. These guys are much better than National Tire and Battery! I used to wait so long to get tires on my truck (hours). If you call and make a reservation, come in on time, then it's not that big of a deal. While you are you waiting you can go grab some lunch next-door. The first time I didn't get exactly what I wanted, but the next time I was very strict on my decision... I ended up getting some tires that I really liked. I've spent maybe $2000 here on 9 tires. That being said my new tires are the most fanciest tires I've ever bought. My girl had a tire loosing air, and I brought her Mustang in. Even though we didn't get her tires at this location or at discount tire at all; they were happy to pull the nail out, and put a plug in her tire for free. Even considering how much money I've spent at this location, I think it's the least they could do, still it's really nice. You can even drive up on the side, and they Will check your tire pressure and air them up for you. These guys know what they're doing and are here when you need some help. He immediately walked me to my car to inspect my tires, then assisted me in choosing the right tires for my GLA Mercedes that would compliment my driving patterns. been going to this shop since 2016. i've never felt so confident driving my car than after i pick it up from this discount tire. they take great care of me and my tires every time i go--whether i have an appt or just walk in. they're reliable, affordable, dependable, friendly, fast, etc. called in this morning after finding a nail in my tire and they were able to get me in and out with the repair within 45 mins (walk-in!) and they were able to rotate my tires too i can't say enough nice things about this shop. management and the staff/mechanics are crushing it. i will never stop referring this place. thank you all for everything you do, you are truely appreciated!!! read more

I've been to this location twice and both experiences were great. First time was to buy a set of new tires, second time was for a flat repair. Their online reservation system works well and cuts down on the time you are there. I was out in less than an hour on the flat repair... and they don't charge for flat repairs! The folks working the office are polite and helpful. Will keep doing business here for sure. read more

Had a pretty rough day, and a blowout on 35 was not something I was wanting to do. Stopped in to discount tire, and told the guy situation. I had just bought a boat from an auction and the trailer tires, at least one of them, looked as though it was dry rotted and about to blow any second. On top of everything, I had my four month old with me. These guys went out, in the parking lot, jacked up the trailer with the boat, and went to town on those tires. They did a great job, worked around a custom trailer fender well that was preventing them from replacing the tires with new tires. Overall, they did great. After researching where to purchase a new set of tires, I decided to come here due to the online reviews (friendly staff, speed, central location, pricing, etc.). Ultimately, I was super pleased. Life Savers!! I brought my car in about 20 minutes before closing, expecting to schedule 4 new tires for the next day. They told me a civic was easy to work with and they could squeeze me in right before closing. Thank god they did! My front left tire had a bulge and was severely worn (they brought it inside to show me), a blow out waiting to happen. Can't beat the price for the tires, alignment, warranty and rotations for life. The car is running much smoother and safer now! I just moved to Austin from Houston about 6 months ago. Before I made my trip I had purchased 4 new tires from Discount Tire Direct online. But since I was very tight on cash I didn't buy certifications for them. Fast forward to last week, and I noticed my front passenger side tire was getting very low. And wouldn't you know it...there's a screw stuck in my tire. Since the screw was so close to the shoulder of the tire, Discount was the LAST place I'd think of taking it since they are usually very strict on doing their repairs and twisting your arm to buy a new tire instead. After several weeks of using a bicycle air pump to manually inflate the tire every other day I just about went crazy. Well, I couldn't take it anymore and I drove in to see what I could do about the tire. Lo and behold, not only did I luck out on the tire being ok to fix, but they were super courteous to me about the whole ordeal. "Eventhough you didn't buy a road hazard warranty, the tire is still covered under it's own warranty and if you bought it from us then we'll take care of you." No talk about replacing the tire with a new one at all... just good old fashioned service and it didn't cost me one cent. And here I was expecting to endure a sales pitch and guilt trip. Nope! They were able to order the tire and have it delivered by morning for my noon appointment. They also called at 11 to let me know it arrived. Exceptional customer service in 2022 does still exist. Fritz was very professional and knowledgeable. My wife and I used to lease all our vehicles and never had to purchase new tires, but we recently decided to purchase our vehicles. My wife's Infiniti needed new tires and Fritz went above and beyond to make the experience pleasant and at a fair price. I will be back shortly to put some new shoes on my Audi. I have purchased my last 4 sets of tires from DT. I love the prices, and the service is friendly. The quality of work, however seems to be slipping. So far, in my visits, the service people broke a wheel trim ring, lost the locking wheel key, lost the special order valve stem caps, and most recently mounted the wheel weight on the OUTSIDE of the wheel! To be honest, the store did right in the first three items replacing the trim ring, locking wheel key, and valve stem caps, but each time I had to take time to either purchase the replacement item or come back to the store. I have not dealt with the wheel balance issue yet, and don't know when I will have the time. I am just concerned that if the things I notice and can see are being done poorly, what about the things I cannot see, like balance, flat repairs, etc? This is the only store I have used, and they are all very friendly and helpful. I am getting to the point of feeling like I need to check over the work done before leaving to avoid having to return due to things missing. While things missing are one concern, putting the wheel weight on the outside of a sport wheel (with no wheel cover) is just poor workmanship. I hope it has not scratched the protective finish coat from the wheel. read more

I was calling around trying to find the best deal on a set of tires. I got to these guys and a young man named Marlon Burnett gave me a great deal on a great tire. He set me an appt for Thursday at 11. He was super helpful. When I got to the parmer/I35 location I was welcomed and treated so nicely I thought "this has got to be a set up". Ha ha. I wish I could remember both of the names of the guys at the counter but one was Chad. Super nice and had me in and out in about 45 min. I asked about alignment and they have a deal with rush automotive for $59.99. I am headed over there now. I give these guys a 5 star review for there helpfulness, friendliness, cost, keeping the appointment on time and the swiftness in getting me back on the road. Job well done! read more

So I'm updating my original review from 4 star to 5 star. Recently checked my monthly tire pressure and found that they add around 38 PSI to each tires. Which caused my mpg to dip. Once I got it to the recommended pressure, it increase by 2 miles. The ride is much smoother with the new Michelin Defender tires now with no wobbles. Kept it at 36 PSI due to Texas weather dipping into the low 40s at times. read more

After having to deal with my tire losing air 3x in two weeks, I took my car here because it was the closest than other locations. I worked with Matthew Hull and he was phenomenal! He did an excellent job explaining everything about my tires and what their service covers. I ended up buying a new set and a perk is that those tires are covered FOR LIFE. It's so easy for anyone to drive over a nail (how can you realistically see that in the road to avoid it) and I feel good knowing that I can get a new tire from them if the hole is in an unfixable spot.
