Needed a new tire. They didn't have what I needed but they would go to the closest store and get it for me. (3hr round trip). And paid had an appt for about three hours later. Showed up and they "forgot" to go get the tire. Asked if I wanted to wait while they went to go get it. No thanks. Got my refund but they clearly forget about their customers. read more

I WISH THAT I COULD GIVE 10 STARS.... Patrick worked on my RV van tires. My back tire was losing air; and, I'm traveling alone, from Illinois with my dog. I needed to find out why my tire was going flat; and, also needed the other tires checked before driving it long-distance. From previous experience at other auto shops, being a woman, alone, I worried that they would try to rip me off somehow. Wow, was I wrong. They found a nail in my tire, and patched it for me FOR FREE. They also made sure that my other tires were ok. While putting the tire back on the rim, the machine scuffed my wheel. Patrick was very apologetic, and offered to either give me a voucher to have it buffed out, or to order me a new one. Since I'm not from here, and am leaving soon, I opted for him to order me one, and just have it shipped to IL. However, he just called me and is working with the local Ram dealership to get one ASAP before I leave. I wish that all businesses were this awesome. What an amazing experience. Amazing service. I took my car in to check for leaks due to the TPS lighting up. They spent a half an hour looking for a leak. They didn't find any problems with the tires but they refilled them, along with a rotation, and rebalancing. For all of this they charged me NOTHING!!! In an age where true customer service is nearly dead this was a remarkable surprise. They've won a customer for life! Other businesses should learn that lesson! read more

Needed 4 tires replaced on my 2011 Silverado and Robert did an excellent job walking me through the options as well as giving me a good recommendation. At no point did I feel he was trying to upsell me or misrepresent the capabilities of the product. Service was rapid and efficient. Could tell as soon as I hit the road the difference in the ride. Furthermore, when I came back for the pickup I remembered I forgot to ask for the spare and Derrick said he'd grab it. Picked up a nail in one of my tires that created a not so slow leak. Called the dealership where I bought the car 2 years ago and was told it would be 2 days before they could get to it and would cost $56.00 for the repair. Called Discount Tire and was told they would work me in if I stopped by. Yes it rook 1.5 hours with no appointment. But they also didn't charge me anything for the repair. My experience at Discount Tire has always been very good anywhere in the country. In a era where customer service has been tossed out the window by most companies. Dropped into Discount Tire with Bridgestone Alenza "run flat" tire at 22 PSI and a nail clearly protruding from the tread. I feared having to pay for one or more of those expensive items, and ended up leaving with a well-patched tire gratis and a coupon for a future discount on new tires. Highly recommend! I called today for additional information regarding needing appointments and tires. The gentleman, I believe James, was really upbeat and very helpful. It's refreshing when you interact with an employee cheerful at work and not rude because they don't want to be there. He was able to answer all my questions and I ended up driving there for same day service as he had mentioned only two cars were ahead of me if I had come then. The wait was only an hour and so great for same day service. I had all four tires replaced and it was a little over $550 with the lowest bundle price with warranty. If you don't want to wait in the lobby you can walk to Lowe's and browse or go Thrift shopping with the cancer Thrift Store or Salvation Army nearby. Additionally there are plenty of restaurants near by to grab a bite- Taco Bell, KFC, Dominoes, and Longhorn. read more

I just left discount tires and I have always loved their service. Well, that is until today. After calling them around 3:45pm to ask if I needed to set an appointment for a simple rotation, they told me that it was really slow today, so I could just come right in and get my tires rotated. When I got there, I took the car in and the guy at the desk told me it would be about 30 minutes for a tire rotation. I left and came back to wait to see how long my car would be so I sat down and waited after an hour of no one telling me that my car has been sitting outside completely left unattended and unlocked, I had to go and find a mechanic who ran and gave me my key and said oh your car is ready. Everything is good in your good to go. Mind you, I went in at 4:15pm and left at 5:29pm for a simple rotation that should've been 15 minutes. Not one time did anyone at the front desk say ma'am your car is ready. I watched over 10 people come and go while I was sitting there for a simple tire rotation, I also watch them put on several different tires on different vehicles while mine was sitting again, unattended and left unlocked without any kind of notice . I would never write a review like this, but it is unacceptable. I have things to do just like everyone else, and your car is ready, which is your job... would've been nice. Again, I've never had bad experiences here, but I know I won't be returning. read more

We were on vacation in the area when our tire pressure monitor alerted us to a problem with a tire. The folks at Discount Tire found the problem - a bulge which could have evolved into a blowout - and arranged to get a suitable replacement tire delivered to them the next day. In the meantime, they put an old tire on our car, saying "I'd rather you drive on a bald tire than risk a blowout". The next day, they mounted and balanced the new tire in less time than promised and we were back on our way quickly. All in all, a very positive experience that turned us into loyal customers. While driving through the Low Country on vacation, I drove over a bolt that punctured a tire. Who knows how it happened, it just did. We drove to Discount Tire as it was close by; it also had great reviews on a website. Our experience there totally justified the great reviews. Each employee was kind, considerate and on top of their game. After removing the tire, one of the employees showed me the bolt and explained how they intended to repair the puncture. From the time we got to the shop (without an appointment) to when we left, it was about an hour. And there was no charge! I was told that fixing such repairs without cost to the customer was simply something they do. Let me tell you, if I lived in the Beaufort area (I live outside South Carolina) I would definitely take my vehicles to this business for anything associated with tires. 20 seconds down the road from home we realized we had a flat. Put on the spare and brought the car to Discount Tire on Robert Smalls Pkwy. The staff was professional and helpful. I ordered Michelin tires online and got them about $200 cheaper than I could find them any place else. I did order them through discount tire. And I cannot tell you enough about the service. These guys are excellent! My appointment was for noon and I got there five minutes early and was walking over to the desk and he said hello Mr. Bernardi. I've never met him and hadn't even introduce myself but he was on it. He asked for the keys and said they would be installed in 30 to 40 minutes and yes they were on in 35 minutes. They were all very polite and I would highly recommend commend them. They torqued all the Lugnuts and when I checked the air pressure on the dash via the sensors they were all at exactly 35 PSI's. I went today at 3:30 to get 2 tires replaced with nails in them. Left Rear and Right front. when they were done, I had 2 news ones in the front and they said it's because they rotated the tires and put the old one on the back. Flat tire sign stayed on and they said it would go off by the time I got home. Got home and I had completely flat tire. The left rear one was never replaced. They took one of my good tires and replaced it and left me the one with the nail in it. The receipt even says replace left rear. I'm from out of town and they are closed on Sundays so now I have to travel home tomorrow on a donut because they were negligent. Extremely angry, and they owe me a tire. read more
