Grateful for the team at Discount Tire. I had a tire almost blow after hitting a pothole and stopped at this place right as they opened. The stars aligned and they actually had my tire size and the time to get it installed despite how busy they were right as the store was opening. I needed the vehicle complete as soon as possible and they made it happen. One large bonus is the military discount. The cost of the tires is comparable to any other location but the discount definitely helps a bit when you replace all 4 tires. Props to Dylan, the tech who got the vehicle done in less than 20 min. This shop found 3 places the tire was leaking and offered to replace it with a different brand they had in stock since I was traveling through and wouldn't be there by the time the same replacement could be ordered and received. I told them I was good and would wait until I got back home so I could get an exact brand replacement. They made sure I had a loaner tire as a spare so I would be able to continue home if I had anymore tire woes on the way. Very professional, great service and strived to ensure timely turn around. I come here because it's convenient, the customer service is okay however every single time I come for new tires, repair, tpms replacement, or anything that has to do with my tires- they never reset my pressure and I always have to drive through to have them update it. I wish I was exaggerating but I haven't had a single experience otherwise. It's frustrating, but not the end of the world. I have in the past bought tires here. But yesterday I went in to have a nail removed. Salesman walks out to my car, I show him the nail and he goes tire to tire with his handheld electronic tread depth machine and declares that my tread depth is low and my tires are six years old and therefore need to be replaced. (The tires have half original tread.) We walk back into the store and stop at a sign that states 6 year old tires are unsafe. Off we go to the computer to see what tires are compatible and in stock. While the computer indicates that they don't have the 'right' size they do have something narrower and taller that will 'fit'. And we should replace the spare, too. The salesman remarks 'If you had to use that spare it would blow out!') So I 'need' five new tires. And I will likely need alignment he says. I indicate that I don't need an alignment, the car drives straight and there is no abnormal wear on the tires. 'Well, we will charge you 89 dollars upfront and if you decide to not do the alignment we can credit it back'. For those of you without 'tire knowledge' be aware that six year old tires likely are NOT 'too old' and you should have someone WITH tire knowledge' accompany you should you choose to do business here. Anyway, after being told I would be charged for an alignment but if I decided I did not want it (while it is on the lift I assume) I can get it back...I walked out! read more

Over the years, Discount Tire has been my go to as their prices are fair, their service is awesome, they have quality tires, and a great warranty! There are always great sales and rebates going on as well! I had a slow leak in one of my tires right as I was heading to a meeting. I stopped in, they filled the tire and gave me an assessment of the wear and tear on my tires. It was a very slow leak as my tire light did not go on again until Saturday of Labor Day weekend. I had just visited a friend, and had my dogs with me. I decided to stop in at Discount Tire and get the tire filled again, but to set an appointment for Tuesday, since they were closed Sunday and Monday for the holiday. They were quite busy and it was 3:30 PM! They had some excellent promotions going on, and I was told they could get me in today. I told the sales guy I had my dogs with me, but he said they were welcome to come inside. We decided what tires would work best for me, and I ordered them online. He finished up the paperwork and I drove to Starbucks to grab a beverage, returned and went inside with my dogs about 4PM. After about 20 minutes, I decided to walk my dogs around the area. I receive texts with updates, and as we walked back just before 5 PM, I received a text that my vehicle is ready! With my last purchase, I had done the mistake of purchasing from the dealership, because they had a buy three get one free, which really equates to more than what you pay at Discount Tire! The funny thing is, if you have a nail in your tire, they send you to Discount Tire. At one point, I had a nail in the sidewall on one of my tires, Discount said they could not repair, but put my spare on and it turned into a nightmare at the dealership with those tires, figuring out the proration of the warranty, etc. I've had to do this in the past with other vehicles at Discount Tire, and it was never a nightmare! Discount Tire will forever be my go to for tires, and I really appreciate the speedy service and quality tires at a great discount that they put on my vehicle on Labor Day weekend! read more

Made an appointment a day in advance to replace 2 tires that were under warranty and to rotate the tires and do an alignment - all recommended by discount the day before when I can In for an eval. First, the warranty for my tires is 60k miles... these are only 15k miles in and at 4/32nds already. They tried to not accept my warranty because of "alignment and wear on the outside". When I showed the reciepts for multiple alignments I had done within the 15k miles, they said "fine we'll give you a free alignment for these $300 tires that should be under warranty that you have to buy again 15k miles later....". This seems absolutely ridiculous to me but I just need safe tires so I say fine. Today I drop my car off at 10am for the 3 things- replace tires, rotate them, align them. And they sell me on some lug nuts. They are supposed to close at 5 PM because it's a Saturday and they are not open on Sundays and Monday is a holiday so I would not be able to get my car until Tuesday even though I need to travel Monday afternoon. So I make sure to be here when they close at five. And when I come in, I pay for the upgraded lug nuts and we're going through everything and I say I just wanna make sure they did all the things that we paid for here. And the guy goes. Oh actually I don't know if they aligned it. Let me check. Five minutes of him fumbling around in the garage and then he tells me that actually they haven't done the alignment but now they can rush an alignment and it might be 10 minutes or 40 minutes. He's not sure. Why did I make an appointment the day prior for 2 pm today? Why did I drop my car off 4 hours early and give them the entire day? If they were even going to do the work. And if I hadn't have asked if all the work was done, they would have just let me take the car and then AGAIN later told me my tire warranty wasn't right because of alignment, alignment that I paid them for that they completely neglected. I hate this $&!%. Just do your job please- within the agreed upon timeframe. By the way, Christopher with the cool mustache was very kind and he just had to catch a grenade here as when I walked in to pick up my car, he just happened to be the person to talk to me. I had not worked with him prior. But he did do my alignment very quickly this evening and was very apologetic over the whole thing.. I believe it was Juan who did not write my name down on the alignment board, which apparently is how they figure out who needs an alignment that day. I'm all for systems that are simple like using a whiteboard when they work, but the reality is it's an hour after close, I missed happy hour with my friends. And I've now spent two days trying to get tires replaced that should've been under warranty that I've paid out-of-pocket several hundred dollars for. read more

RIPOFF!! Went to Flagstaff location because I need very simple and straight forward plug directly on center of tread. Waited an hour then they told it couldn't be done and I had to buy a new tire. I was a walk-in traveling with our 5th wheel and on our way to Bryce and Zion. I had the pressure checked/adjusted by Conner. He was persistent and corrected all the rear tires on my F350 dually. I also asked a Customer Service Tech to please check the history on the tires that included the rotation. The tires needed rotation, the Customer Service Tech placed me on the schedule and I was done in about 45-60 minuets. Apparently a slow leak in your tire takes up to two hours for repair. If I knew this I would have gone elsewhere. I got here at 4:30pm. 6:22pm and my vehicle is not even in the garage. When I asked about my vehicle, I got no response from who appears to be the manager of the store. He just looked at me. Disappointing since this is where I buy my tires. Driving from NY to Cali I was towed here from a flat tire in the middle of 15 W somewhere in beautiful Arizona. My VW had ridiculous wheel locks. Even though they were busy all day as I waited, the staff dedicated time to go looking for the right socket for the key locks. I had been needing to get my TPMS looked at bc it hadn't gone off during a 3-day roadtrip. Tires looked fine, and it had been chilly, but figured it would have gone off after driving. About 30 min before I came here, I tried to put some air in the tires during a routine gas stop (check frequently on long road trips!), but the faulty hose made my tires leak a little bit more than they gave. Ended up I had a nail in my tire, who knows how long it was there! I like the complete service and check, they could have easily scanned the TPMS and said all was good. Let me start off by saying that the staff is definitely friendly. They tried to help us at least. We went in to get 2 new tires, upon arrival, we were told that all of them needed to be replaced so we went ahead and did that instead. After a while, They called us saying that they'd have to break off our lugnut, and that they'd give us a card to get a new one. Having us leave with only 4 nuts on a tire. (Sure it's not the most unsafe thing in the world but the point of 5 studs is for 5 nuts. nothing less. otherwise it'd only have 4. common sense right?) Not mentioning the fact of our stud needing to be replaced as well. After getting another lugnut, we realized that the stud was completely stripped. Driving around town, we can feel that one of our tires isn't completely secure. After calling, the staff is trying to cover their own butts by saying they did tell us that we needed a new stud. but if that was the case, we would have done that immediately. Who wants to drive a car when you can feel that the tire is loose?? What if it falls off. Seems unsafe to me. I'm not saying to not go here, just please please please, ASK questions, make sure you know every detail before leaving because it seems as though they won't tell you themselves. No one should be driving around in a car that feels unsafe. read more

The staff at Discount Tire are so helpful and caring! My daughter was in a car accident that totaled her vehicle for which she had just had four new tires put on. The situation was difficult for many reasons and my daughter wanted to keep the tires for sentimental reasons to use on a replacement vehicle. Discount Tire staff and management not only took the tires off of the totaled vehicle but let her keep them at their store for several days until she was able to get her replacement vehicle. They even took off the step ups of the car so she could keep those as well! When she got her replaced vehicle, they put the tires back on for her, wrapped the old tires up in plastic and put them in the back of her vehicle for her. I am so thankful for Discount Tires' staff. They went above and beyond with service, care and empathy of the situation. I will always use Discount Tire for my tire needs. read more

That's okay but when the guy got my truck up on the lift and the tire off he told me the tire wasn't fixed originally according to DOT Regis so he couldn't put it back on, nor would he put my spare back on. Told me I needed to buy a $250 tire. Basically they held my truck hostage and wouldn't put my spare on until I ponied up for a $250 tire! Great service! After driving from KC to Flagstaff, my tire had a bubble and needed replaced. We took it to Discount Tire, and they put on a new tire in just minutes. They offered to remove my lugnut which is warped, but I'll use Honda for that. I can't use my lugnut as of now. The tire was affordable and has a warranty on it.. They had a few choices for me to choose. I thought the staff did great. I would actually be a loyal customer with Discount Tire, but my nearest Discount Tire is 45 minutes from my house...I'm seriously thinking of having the other 3 replaced, and if I need to drive 45 minutes to get this done, I will. The worst customer service I have ever dealt with. Did not call me to tell me the car was done. Dropped the car early and had to call close to closing to see what was going on. Extremely rude Manager trying to tell me that the employee told me it would be 35 min. I laughed and was curious how he remembered from 11am this morning and the fact he was not even there. He was across the room and was not outside with us at our car. The employee tried to pass the blame to someone else. The Manager was very unprofessional and wanted to blame me for them not calling or letting me know the car was done. I had to call 30 min. before they closed. Just LOUSY customer service. I mentioned it was amazing he has such a great memory, what in the world was he doing working as a lifer at Discount tire! hahahaha! Loser! I will never come here again. We usually love Discount Tire, in our experience they have been reliable and helpful. However, last week, we had a very harrowing experience. Our salesperson was terrific and listened to what we wanted and needed. The turnaround time was very quick and communication was great. Our problem came after getting on the road. About 2 hours north of Flagstaff, in the middle of nowhere, my husband began to have trouble with the steering. He kept driving, thinking it was maybe the alignment or the road he was on. Imagine his surprise when his wheel came completely off!! The wheel rolled away, lug nuts flew everywhere and he was stranded. It's funny now, but only because he didn't roll the vehicle or crash into anything or anyone. Thanks to the kindness of strangers they located SOME of the lug nuts and the wheel and were able to jack the car up so he could get where he was going. Safely? Probably not. So, beware the quick turnaround time and make sure that they acattach your tire to your vehicle. read more

I did end up calling and somehow the number rang for a different location in Flagstaff. So I drove there instead. Service was decent.
