I've been to discount tire in 3 different states and the service is always top notch.

I woke up thinking today was going to be an average day but on my way to work I noticed I had a flat tire. I came to discount tire for the first time and didn't know what to expect but Eric was such a great help. He guided me though the process and assured things would be okay! Xavier also help me through the process and we worked out something that was affordable which I appreciate. I will definitely be back. I made an appointment to purchase new tires for my vehicle. I was greeted as soon as I stepped out of my car, the associate took all of my information, and I paid. The associate quoted me 40 minutes for the entire process, but it was complete in less than 30!! Quick, informative, and pain free! Exactly how it should be- and a very responsible price! Hit a massive pot hole in Nashville, traveling to Destin Florida. The result was a huge bulge in my right passenger side tire. The gentleman that waited on me expedited getting me a replacement tire and got me back on the road in about 40 minutes. read more

I dropped off my truck at 10AM for a tire rotation. They said that it would be done by 1:00PM. I returned just after 1:00 and they haven't even started it. They tell me they will have it done in another 30 minutes. I go back 45 minutes later and they still have not started it. I ended up getting my keys and leaving without getting my tires rotated. They wasted a good part of my day. The rotations that are included when purchasing tires are useless if you can't even get them rotated. I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

DO NOT ever trust these people with your car. Absolutely ridiculous, unprofessional, and completely idiotic. My boyfriend took his car in to get his blown tire fixed. They said he can pick it up after work, but when he got to the lot, (after they closed) his car windows were all the way down and his car was SOAKING wet all over inside. Puddles on the floor type of soaking wet. The seats were drenched. We went back in the morning and they tried to say that he left the windows down when he brought it. OH PLEASE. I used to shop at another store until one day this other store wouldn't honor their warranty. I asked the technician why and he told me "Your tire is a 3 on the stick." I asked, "What does that mean?" He said, "I don't know. All I know is that if it's less than a 4 on the stick the warranty is no good." I already had a low opinion of that place so I left and went to Discount Tire. I have no plans of turning back. The crew is not only super knowledgeable, they also set the bar for professionalism, and are impressively fast. Oh, by the way, Discount Tire taught me "A 3 on the stick" means the tread on the tire is at 3/32" (3/32nds of an inch). Tires start around 11/32". The thinner the tread is, the longer it takes to stop a car. This is why you can get a ticket for having bald tires. read more

Called these guys because my low tire pressure light kept coming on after I put air in my tires. (I have a 2009 Honda Accord.) They checked all of my tires, balanced them, found a small leak in one of them, patched it and did it all for no charge. I also had them check my threads because I felt some "slipping" in the rain. They said that the tires were getting low but still very usable and safe. Even showed me a little color safety chart of tire threads and showed me where mine was at and when it's time to buy new ones. On top of that, they did everything with professionalism and a smile. We have been customers of Discount Tire (or America's Tire, depending where you're located) for well over 15 years, patronizing at least 4-5 different shops in SoCal, and now two others here in Tennessee. This particular shop really helped me out of a jam. I was just leaving Columbia on my way back to Nashville this past January, and somehow managed to find myself a great big screw. I filled it as full as I could, made it halfway to Franklin on side roads, stopped and filled it again, and barely made it to Discount Tires. I knew my tires were VERY overdue for replacement, and that a repair was not going to be an option. Sadly, the spare was 10 years old, so they couldn't use that, either. The manager offered to install a used tire, just to get me to the appointment I was already late for, and to hold me over until I could get all new tires put on. He did this at NO CHARGE and right before closing time! I got five new tires put on the car a few days later, and, needless to say, I drove all the way back to Franklin to do it, despite having a Discount Tire location less than five miles from my house. Fantastic service and creative problem solving! We are choosier than the average bear, and it takes something special for a business to earn our loyalty, especially when it's a big national operation. These guys are in a class with Nordstrom, Costco, Trader Joe's and the like: reliable, consistent, and clearly go the extra mile. Their staff is always friendly and professional. Their prices are usually the best around (with extra benefits you don't get anywhere else), but even when they are slightly higher, we still go with them, because the service is so excellent. Free rotations. Free road hazard repairs. Free air pressure checks and top-offs at any location (which includes the hassle of uninstalling the full-size spare from beneath our SUV). All done with a genuine smile, good manners, and a cheerful attitude. read more

I couldn't be more pleased with Discount Tire and their service. I have never been to another location, but this one is top notch. I have been going to them for years and have never had a bad experience. They stand behind their word, are incredibly polite, energetic, and professional. The gentlemen that work there are just that - aware, timely, considerate, and hard workers. Today I went in to get a rotation on a whim (because I remembered during an hour that isn't normally too busy), but I was in a rush to get to work, so I asked how long it would take. They said it would likely be around 20 minutes, but not more than 45. I consented and also discovered that I needed my tires balanced as well because of some vibration issues I had experienced. Because I had purchased my tires from them, the rotation and balance were completely free. The best part? I was IN AND OUT of there in 18 MINUTES!! Unheard of!! I will never purchase tires from anyone else. Not only are they the best in their industry, but they are one of my favorite service providers overall. Another plus? They provide free coffee, water, and wifi while you wait - AND they have a CLEAN bathroom!! If you do not use them, you are only hurting yourself! read more

I took my vehicle to the Franklin TN store on Nov. 30 to get a tire with a slow leak repaired. The salesman informed me he could not legally repair the tire because it only had 2/32 tread left. He told me it was dangerous to drive and tried selling me a new set. I returned to the Spring Hill store the next day to inquire about new tires. They looked at my tires and measured them. They measured 4/32 tread life and said it would be no problem repairing the tire. I would give the Spring Hill store 5 stars but will never return to the Franklin store. read more

I've gone to 'Discount' Tire for many years and gotten many sets of automotive tires there. While the service is undeniably efficient and good their prices are not the best on the market. They tend to upsell and are reluctant to inform the customer of the actual discount tire options over the more expensive options. Recently, I also went to get a pair of lawn mower tires, which they do carry, and found their price to be double of nearby tire stores that also deal in the same market as 'Discount.' Great service example. I told them I needed 4 tire pressure sensors with my new tires. The dash alert was on and I noticed the valve stems were different than my other vehicle with TPMS - I assumed the previous owner had them removed or put in aftermarket wheels, etc. The tech came back to me an mentioned the car indeed had TPMS, but only one was defective - and credited me for the other 3 ($180 ). I think most shops would have just repaired the 1 and charged me for all 4 (as I was expecting that). Honesty gets a 5 star rating from me....and all my future business. read more

Have always had a great experience with discount tire, until I tried to bring in 4 tires I had purchased elsewhere and have them mount and balance them. They quoted me $200 just to put on the tires. The salesman said since I didn't purchase the tires from them they would charge double. I left there and called another tire shop and they quoted me $22 a tire to mount and balance. More than HALF the price off of discount. read more

I have bought many sets of tires from Discount Tire since they came to Nashville and the service is usually good. Today I had an appointment fir a simple rotation and balance and have watched four people arrive and go since I arrived and my car still sits in the parking lot. The principal is a simple one. If you make a commitment you keep it and today is an epic fail! I have to note that the manager of the location did a great job of smoothing the experience and did save a customer. Coming from a dealership background, several "insiders" recommended that I take my car to Discount Tire when my car's rear tire when flat. The gentleman who took several of my calls was very patient and helpful as he answered my numerous questions. After finally deciding which tire would be best for my vehicle (I went with Yokohama's All Season tire), I scheduled my appointment. Upon arriving, I was greeting outside by their service writer, Paul. He was very helpful and knowledgeable and before we were even done talking about my car and tires, the work upon my car was completed. I was in and out of there in less than 30 minutes! I was informed that a bent rim was causing my front tire to wear a little more than normal, which led to an attempt to an upsell of new rims and credit card application, which I denied both. Upon talking to my auto tech friend, I was informed that a slightly bent wheel does not wear away the tire any quicker, which I was relieved to hear because affording new rims is not in my budget. Irregardless, when it's time to replace my front tires, I'm immediately going back to purchase them there. I was pleased with the helpfulness of the staff and the quick service. read more
