Brought my classic Rolls Royce convertible in for tires, what a mistake. They sold me 2 tires and the one they installed on the back passenger side wasn't done correctly so I lost the chrome ring and then had to go to another Discount Tire when I saw that the spare holder was not put in tight under the car and all my jack and tools now are gone from falling out. About $900. damage in replacement costs all together for to my car because of their stupidity! I wouldnt send my worst enemy to this place. What jerks. Uncaring all together about my car. read more

I have been taking my car in here for years and have never had a bad experience. Employees are always very quick to welcome and assist as soon as I walk in. Just recently came in because one of my brand new tires popped (large, sharp rock on the road damaged the poor thing) and they replaced it with a new one. I have been to quite a few locations in the Phoenix West/North area in the almost 3 years I've lived this area, being our valley roads eat tires like crazy its just part of the valley. Never have I been treated so poorly in my business with Discount Tire since today's visit. Every staff member I have had interaction with has made me feel unwelcome. Went in looking for two tires to buy on a strict budget. Jeff was our sales man. You know what I can't stand is a sales man that thinks he knows what I can afford. To stand there and look at me and tell me that two 14" tires are 240 for the bare minimum.. when I looked it up on the discount website it was around 130. He was trying to up sell me on items without telling me they where optional..such as the TPMS reset kit. I kindly let him know that I would shop around for other prices and he had the audacity to look at me and say in a stern voice well I don't understand 38 tires is a good price it's not that expensive. I don't like sales men that pretend to know my financial situation and know what the fuck is in my bank account it's so rude. At that point he should have looked at me and respected my wishes but instead made me feel bad because I couldn't afford "$38" dollar tires that added up to $240... went to another discount with better customer service and bought tires there at a way better rate.. read more

I used Discount Tire back in North Carolina so I knew I'd be in their system & they'd check & rotate my tires for free. I hate going to mechanics (as a woman) almost as much as I hate going to the dentist. However, my "low tire pressure" alert came on two days in a row so it was a necessity. The guy who helped me showed me exactly what was wrong with my tire (a screw) and how the tread keeps it from being patchable. When I told him I couldn't afford to buy a new tire for a couple weeks, he went out of his way to loan me a tire and keep me on the road. Would not honor my Road hazard warranty. Relayed to me my tire wear is from mechanical defect..What a JOKE..Tire still jad 5\32nds depth in tread and refused to replace tire. Tire was worn and balding on the outside of tire..Sent me away unsafe and without out honoring contract..Went to another location apolgized and replaced the tire under Hazard warranty..On a previous occasion had a tire changed asked the service tech if he inflated all tires to specs he advised me he did..I checked tire pressure with personal gauge before leaving two were under inflated one was over inflated..Was going to send me down the road in unsafe vehicle..So much for credibillity from the Tire experts..TOTAL CLOWN SHOW.. This is the third location that I've been to, and I must say it's marvelous when all locations offer superb service! That's no coincidence! Somebody is taking notes and making it their business to offer fantastic service all the way around. Kudos to Discount Tire and I hope your employees are being compensated as fairly. Today I noticed one of my Toyota Highlander dashboard warning lights blinking. Since I'd never seen this warning light before, I had to look it up in my owner's manual. It indicated "low tire pressure." I immediately drove into a gas station and used my "free' Discount Tire gauge. All tires registered within normal parameters. I then drove to the nearest Discount Tire for a free air pressure check and to ask why restarting my car didn't reset the warning light. It was around mid-afternoon, very hot and there were hardly any customers. I was immediately offered a free, cold water bottle, while my tire pressures were checked. Since he too determined my tires were were normal, he suggested that I park and go inside to speak with the Manager. I decided to take my owner's manual to read, while I waited. Once inside, the Manager asked me if my spare tire was low? I told him that I doubted it, since I'd just had that tire rotated about 1-2 weeks ago. He then asked for my car keys, which I promptly surrendered. Ten minutes later, I was told that they had reset my suspension's button and where I could find it. I have been going to discount for about 20 yearsand this store is a joke. My ex girlfriend got her tires and rims there and they tightened the nuts to tight and her studs on rim busted and her tire fell off they then tried to say she had someone else take the tires off and overtightened the nuts but that wasnt the case. Then I thought well i've used them a long time I would give them another shot. I got new tires for my truck then when it was time for a tire change my truck went into another discount and they told me thete was 75lbs of pressure in them and there should only be 45lbs and the guy acted like I overfilled it. The messed up thing is im sure if I had a blow out they would have tried to say I over filled it and I never touched the tires. Buyer beware stay away from 43 and Glendale discount tire. I have purchased tires from Discount Tire for many many years. Today was a mess, went in to have them look at a screw in on of my tires and ask them to rotate since I was there. The tech said 2-3 hours, I was fine with that. 4 hours later my truck was finally in a bay. Not once did someone check with me to adjust the wait time. The one time I went up at the 2-3 hour mark the tech was rude and asked me if I wanted to leave and come back another time. I finally called the Corporate office.., after two phone calls and one disconnect I spoke with someone who assured me that 4 hours was way to long. I am now home and glad I don't have to have tires on my other vehicles rotated anytime soon read more

I came here because I wanted a second opinion. After a short conversation with Jeff Woodland, he advice we needed to replace three tires. I spoke with him about the possibility of also getting rims and he was so helpful and really went above and beyond to help me. I explained to him what I was looking for and how I wanted my vehicle to look, he then went onto the website and showed me what they had that was close to what I want. My boyfriend and I probably spent about 20 minutes trying to decide and also having him go back and forward from one page to another & the whole time Jeff was very nice and did not bother at all. Which was really cool to me because I get shy when I ask too much but Jeff makes sure to get what you need and will take his time. Once I purchased the rims I chose, he went over with me what I was getting and the cost. I did ask about finance and he helped me out & even gave me some rebates. Which was pretty freaking great. I also want to add that Jeff was very communities throughout everything. He called me to advice about the tires being ordered, when they arrived. Which to me is awesome because then I know I'm being taken care of to the max. Jeff also shared the same excitement as me when I saw my car with the new tires. I really want to share with any future or current customer that this store really does go above and beyond to take care of their customers and assure they get what the want. He also helped my boyfriend pick out his rims for his truck & again, was super focused on his needs & making sure we got what we needed. I really appreciate his attitude and great service. This Discount Tire store has the best customer service! I try to stop by weekly to get a free tire inspection and air check. The employees are always super nice! I buy all of my tires from Discount Tire and purchase the road hazard certificate. If you have a tire that can't get repaired you get a new tire free with the certificate. read more

Make sure you get here early. I came this morning to obviously get a tire checked out. I figured the earlier I get here the better. They open at 8 I walked in about 830 and there was already 3 customers ahead of me. I was greeted in the parking lot and I told him my tire issue. He inspected all four tires and then explained what he would dunk the tire in water to see if it could be repaired opposed to completely replacing it. The other discount tire store told me I had to replace the tire without even doing a complete inspection. I definitely recommend this location but arrive early. read more

We've been Discount Tire customers for over 20 years. We buy all our tires there. Best of all are the Discount Tires road hazard certificates which we always buy. It is worth it knowing they will replace any of their tires that get damaged. In their store are cross section tire models showing Good, Better and Best tires. Nothing like seeing these models to convince me to buy the Best - four new Michelin tires. Even got a rebate, a $70 Prepaid Visa card - nice! A big convenience is the ability to make an appointment, either by calling or using their website where you can search tires, prices and even pre-order. Recently I went to Discount Tire as I normally do when I get a flat but this time I decided to go to a different location than I normally do because we recently moved and this new one was closer. Now normally when I go to Discount Tire I have been able to trust that the workers are actually doing what they're saying they're doing and I go sit down and wait for my car to be ready. When they say it's ready I trust what they say and I'm on my way with no problems. That is how it's been for the last few years that I've been going to Discount Tire but at this particular Discount Tire that I'm trying out because it's closer to me that wasn't the case. I left and had more issues then I came in with it was. After having my car my tires serviced at this particular location I have multiple lights on my dashboard come up so I went back to Discount and showed the manager and before he even looked at the vehicle he said oh we didn't do anything to make that happen without even checking. After going to two different mechanics they both said the same thing wich was when they fixed my tire they broke a little black box that my mechanic said was a carbon box he said that more than likely they used a floor jack and place it in the wrong place and that is what cracked the box causing multiple lights to come on on my dashboard. As you can imagine this was very frustrating and I ending up having to come out of my pocket 600 bucks. It was very disappointing having to pay to have something fixed that I did not break. The Discount Tire that this happened at was located at 7040 N 43rd Ave Glendale Az 85301. So I would say avoid it if I possible. I have been to several Discount Tire places throughout the valley and am usually pretty satisfied however this location ROCKS!
