Mark stated Dean did not normally work at this location. I'm not sure how that helps with the way I was just talked to. Mark did explain that all apts are drop offs!!!! You cannot wait for your vehicle and they will get to it when they can. Mark said he would give me a free service with stipulations. That stipulation was not to write this review. My sister has been their customer for several years and has always spoken highly of them, so I decided to give them a try. Jenny Bastanchury was my service advisor and provided excellent service at every step. The car arrived shifting hard and shuddering at low speeds. Litchfield Auto Repair's mechanics quickly discovered what the large chain shop missed. A damaged transmission bracket was causing excess vibration and had been destroying my motor and transmission mounts. There were also other issues that needed attention, and the team walked me through each one clearly. Litchfield Auto Repair diagnosed excessive engine movement and rebuilt the entire engine and transmission mount set-up using modified brackets because original parts for a 2000 Cavalier are no longer available. They replaced the left front CV axle, installed a new air conditioning compressor, performed a complete R134a evacuate and recharge service, and coordinated a full transmission rebuild. Per my request, Jenny tried to source new old stock parts for the job, but in some cases, they were not available. After all the work was completed, the Cavalier drove smoother and stronger than it has in years. Their pricing was fair, their communication was clear, and the quality of their work was outstanding. Jenny and her mechanics really listened to my input and provided superior service compared with what I had experienced at other shops over the last 12 years. As I waited in their lobby, the oil and the belt were replaced in just over two hours. The money I paid was well worth it, as I felt satisfied and secure in my vehicle after it left the shop. While waiting in the reception area, I overheard the owners speaking with another customer. They offered to assist the other customer when they didn't have to. Our Nissan rogue flashed a warning that there was no oil in the car and to pull over immediately. Which we did. We were confused because there didn't seem to be any oil leaks, and the oil plug looked like it was still in place. (my husband neglected to tell me he stopped checking the fluid levels monthly.) As our previous auto mechanic closed his shop, we hadn't had a chance to find a new one. So we looked on yelp and noticed clutch auto was only a few miles away although they seemed fairly new. They had only a couple reviews, but they were positive. So I decided to give them a try and called them and made an appointment for the same day and had the car towed to them. They did a full inspection and did not see anything wrong with the oil other than it needed it. They suggested an oil change however their inspection showed that there was some work that needed to be done on the suspension I requested photos however they had already taken them, which really impressed me seconds later they sent me a full report, including photos showing what needed to be repaired and why. By the end of the day, all the work was done. And I picked it up the next morning. I'm really impressed that they did NOT try to say other work needed to be done, as most other places would. Instead they were honest and explain that they would consider the suspension was in the yellow zone needing to be done soon, but could be put off a little bit if necessary. The cost for a full synthetic oil change was much less than five minute oil, However, I asked if they had a senior citizen discount they did not however they did have a 10% off first time customer discount, which brought the full job (oil change/suspension work) significantly in price.

I started with them rebuilding my motor and just kept going from there. I did stop going here because of distance and I think if I was closer I would continue to take it to them for small jobs. To be fully transparent, I'm very specific about a lot of things when it comes to my vehicles so there were things that I noticed that weren't right, a couple things still exist to this day that were caused by the shop. However, every time I told Miguel about these issues he immediately did his best to help fix them. And they did fix most of the issues I had. This is not a bad shop at all. I definitely recommend them.
