Like most tire shops they offer free air check on your 4 tires. my tire sensors seem to go off when the seasons change. Each and every time I have been to the Glendale Heights store that person has been kind, helpful does what I ask and at the same time when filling the tires they check the wear on each tire. side note I have brought tires from this location that service too has been good, fast kind and keeps you informed. I visited recently for free tire balancing and rotation. I couldn't have had a more pleasant experience if I'd paid for it! I was greeted warmly and professionally by Ramiro, who drove my car to the service bay. Afterwards, he informed me of the condition of my tires (they were good), and assured me that my wait wouldn't be long. In actuality, the service time was much faster than anticipated. I appreciated the manager's response to my predicament at 11:30a on a busy Saturday 6/28. My tire was leaking and was too far down in pressure to safely refill to buy me a few days. I had a work event that I was responsible with 200+ people 60 minutes away. The manager recognized my dilemma and was able to get me in and remove and patch a nail hole. Typical bait and switch tire shop. For anyone who is unfamilar with purchasing one damaged tire, please be aware that this location will quote a much lower price house brand tire over the phone and then "highly recommended" a premium grade tire upon arrival. Guess they have little faith in their in-house tires! In this instance they "highly recommended" 2 new tires as if it's imperative to the use of the car. The original lower priced tire wasn't even brought up during the conversation after I made a reservation over the phone for my girlfriend. There was plenty of circle talk when I verified this with the manager later. Please bring a friend or family member who knows how to buy an appropriate tire commensurate to your vehicles age and mileage and condition. In this instance a $91.62 tire quote ended up costing this young lady $345.98, or $254.36 more than my original conversation / price quote. Guess you're an easy target if you roll into a tire shop running on a spare tire. Just be careful with this DT location and stand your ground upon your original price quote. Who wouldn't want to protect their loved ones against these deceptive practices. Btw, this returns and exchanges policy looks logical and friendly enough, but the manager Jimmy stated we will not accept these tires back but will happy replace them with an equally priced tire or more expensive tire to remedy this situation. I brought my vehicle to Discount Tire where they told me it was in fact very repairable and refunded me for the tire I thought I had to buy. Had a slow leak in my rear tire - not a leak in the sidewall but definitely fixable. Employee took a quick look at tires, said that the problem one was too old and couldn't they wouldn't be able to do it. No explanation why the wouldn't, but only it was 7-yr old tire. Quoted me on 4 new tires instead. Didn't address my problem. Didn't explain. Wasn't even busy there. Will not go to this location again, ever. Went to competitor who at least explained why they wouldn't do it. Then went to Just Tires who wanted $66+ for repair. Finally went to my trusted local family owned auto service place and they patched it for $35. Go small, go local. read more

My daughter went in for a tire rotation on a car we just purchased. She was told the tires were unsafe to drive on and they wouldn't rotate them. They claimed impact blisters and cuts... I inspected tires and found no blistering or cuts. I returned with my daughter and asked for an explanation and they could show no evidence... Brought my SUV into this location with a slow air leak in one of my tires. Ramiro talked to me as soon as I walked in and asked what I needed and I explained the situation. He had one of the service technicians look at it right away. They found what the problem was immediately and repaired the tire. It actually took less time than what he thought. Came in to hopefully repair a tire that was only two months old and unfortunately, was told it was irreparable. They ordered the tire and it was delivered to their location within hours. During my install, they worked their customer service magic which resulted in a considerable discount. Everyone here is always professional, attentive and personable. If I could give zero stars I would. These guys are out to sell you tires whether your need them or not. I needed a tire pressure sensor replaced in a tire. Set up an appointment and everything. I get there and they won't even remove the tire because "not enough tread is left. " What does that have to do with a pressure sensor? Nothing, of course, but they'll be happy to sell you a new tire. But you really shouldn't buy just one tire, they should be replaced at the same time, blah blah blah. (That's another line of BS by the way). I've bought at least three sets of tires from these guys over the years but never again. This constant upselling is ridiculous and a stain on the company. read more

The place is convenient for me and has a good selection of tires. The salesmen are fairly knowledgeable about brands and matching the best ones with your vehicle. Each place is different​ and my experience​ with brand new tires in a ​different state was terrible. That's​ why​ ​I​ was initially hesitant​, but the staff knows what they are doing and get the job done. So all in all this particular location is decent if you want good tires. The only reason I​ am knocking off one star is the wait. It takes hours and hours to get the job done so I​ suggest getting a ride back, ​roaming around the shopping plaza next door or a big interesting book. I needed a tire bad they gave me a discount and got it changed pretty fast so I'd say not bad

I want to start by stating that the location itself did a wondering job. They matched and even went lower than the prices I had at another location. They took me in within minutes of my appointment time. And they completed the job ahead of schedule. You just can't ask for anymore. My concern is with Discount Tire's Rebate department. I purchased a new set of rims and Bridgestone Blizzard WS80 tires for my Acura TL AWS. There were rebates from both Bridgestone and DT. (BTW, this is NOT why I bought the tires. They are just fantastic in both snow and ice.) Both companies quote a 4 week turnaround on their rebates. I applied for both of them, online, back to back on 11/21 and both submittals were confirmed. Bridgestone's rebate showed up in 3 weeks. Shame on me, but I forgot about the DT rebate until today when I was cleaning up my desk (2/14) nearly 13 weeks later. When I called DT can't find my submittal but they'll be happy to put it in now and I'll only have to wait another 4 weeks! I can't help but feel that this is a tactic of theirs based on so many other reviews I've read with similar issues with the rebate department So buyer beware....and set a reminder once you submit your rebate! read more

The first troubles I had with this location started in April of 2021. In 2020, I had experienced some issues with getting my summers and winters sent to the store, in which it took much longer than expected and the wait time was very very long, but I looked past that because everyone was still getting used to Covid. When April of 2021 came around thouhgh, I was assured that they were back on track and everything was back to normal. I had called at the beginning of the month to get my summers sent, and was told it was 1-2 weeks. At the start of the third week I called again, and was told sometime this week for sure, at the end of that week I still hadn't heard anything. Finally I called the middle of the 4th week and my tires were there. The day of the appointment, I had a 12:30 appointment but my car was not brought in until after 1:00. The whole experience left me irritated, this after I had bought $1400 in tires and wheels, and paid the extra $70 for extra sensors so that the tire change itself was always free (now I'm thinking it was a way to keep me coming back despite the terrible service). I called to have my winters sent to the store October 2nd, and was told 1-2 weeks. I called back on October 19th having not heard anything and was told they had not actually been requested, and the gentleman I talked to told me they might be there the next day, but no later than Friday. I didnt hear anything Friday, and called at about 3:00 Monday and was told they had gotten there that morning (of course they didnt call me to tell me that). My appointment was Tuesday the 26th, I will say the team was very friendly and efficient, but of course there's always something, as I did my tire change and got all the way home before I realized the team had forgotten to put the lugnuts back in the car and had to drive all the way back. This locations seems to have a serious lack of focus, communication, follow through and customer satisfaction. Never once was I offered a discount or cost reduction on the tire storage, or any kind of way to help keep my business through the multiple screw ups. Now I feel trapped by this company because I bought the sensors when I bought the winter tires to get free tire changes, but I will never ever go back to this location. If you can find someone else to buy new tires from, do it. This place is not worth the headache. read more

Had an accident with two blown out tires so was in a pinch. The manager Erik took my call from the scene and was helpful pulling prices and options for tires in stock and offered to match any price when I asked him - he was extremely friendly and patient. The vehicle was towed in less than an hour before close and he said no problem we'll get it taken care of tonight. Less than 45 minutes later I'm back on the road. Their prices were fair - never attempted to upsell or oversell on anything like most tire shops and sold me the tires I wanted at a lesser cost than I found online anywhere else. Couple days later had a slow leak in another vehicle brought it - Erik again was there and took about 10 seconds to find the screw and did a courtesy patch at no cost (even though the tire was bought elsewhere). I've bought 3 sets of tires here for my family's vehicles. Easy to schedule appointments, friendly staff, and good prices. I was extremely pleased with this shop and planned on continuing to get my tires here. A few months ago, my wife complained to me that the car had a really bad shimmy on the highway. I took a look at her tires and noticed that both of the front tires looked badly worn on the outside edges. I took the car to my mechanic to get the alignment checked. Everything checked out fine. Taking the front tires off, he found they were nearly bald all the way around. Rear tires had tons of tread left. I purchased all 4 tires at the same time from Discount Tire. I took the car in for several "free" tire rotations at the recommended intervals. However, it was clear that the tires had NEVER been rotated. So this location had specifically lied to me several times about work they claimed to do but never did. You've lost my business and my trust and I intend on being VERY vocal to friends and neighbors about the shady business practices here. read more

Was back. Made an appointment by phone for the next day. They have a really nice covid touchless system. Stay in car for check-in. Stay in car until I drove over the hoist with verbal direction. I like that. Sat separated outdoors (my choice). Mechanic came out to tell me it was ready. I drove it from the lift, again under guidance. No employees in the car. I was impressed. Bunch of stuff done including rotate, balance, and a tire repair which was my motivation. Surprisingly fast. I think they only work by appointment at this time, so that "walk-ins welcome" may be amended for repairs. No charges because the tires were from them. My original review from a couple years ago: I am very pleased with them. They seem very competent, and care to do a good job. I did not get that same feeling at Sams or Costco. Good prices. Nice free rotations and balance after the sale. They have a lane where you can drive through to get your tire air adjusted. Better than normal waiting area with good magazines and coffee.
