I brought my 2010 ram 3500 and dodge viper for new tires. The coist was over 3k and was more than other vendors. I chose them because they are a big outfit and I would prefer to pay more for good service. I had a vibration on my ram which was pretty severe. I had them rebalance them and still seemed like a tire was off balance. took it to another vendor and they rebalance them and now i have no vibration. Along with unbalanced tires they tech scratched my wheels and improperly installled my lug covers. I asked for a credit which they said they would give and still have not received anything. I went in for new tires. I had an incident on the expressway causing me to spin out and end up in a ditch. I was stuck in said ditch and upon trying to get my car out I hit a curb. This caused some damage including a bent control arm. I opted to replace the control arm while I was here and thankfully everyone was informative about all my options throughout the process. Also after deciding to get extra work done, they were nice enough to drive me home and pick me up once my car was completed. I worked mostly with Larry and Brian, both were open, honest and tried to give best options. I will definitely be back if I need further assistance with my car. read more

This review is for the Western & Melrose St location in Roscoe Village: I live across the street and woke up to a dead battery, so I ran over to ask for a jump and they kindly brought one of their service vehicles over to jump start me free of charge. Next day, battery is dead again. The mechanic was kind and amazing enough to walk over to my place with the battery and change it out in the street. I went here recently for a tire of mine that blew out on me after a long drive. I'm weary of going to "car places" without my fiancé mainly because I know how "car places" in most cases , like to con women into getting everything they don't really need. My fiancé is in the military , so that means I get to take care of things he normally would. I never had a flat tire before without him here, and my roadside assistance only repairs flats if I have a spare (I don't). Anybody that lives in the suburbs knows, with no car there is no way you're getting anywhere as the transit system is practically non existent. After calling a few locals places and dealing with rude guys on the phone, I came across this place. VERY professional on the phone and VERY patient. So far so good. I decided to go for it especially since it was local to where I live. Thankfully their work hours know that most of us work and we can't miss work and lose money to do "car things". With that said, I went in before work , was greeted warmly, helped myself to water and some magazines, and was out in 20 minutes, and even made it to work early. My tire was fixed and they put air in the other 3 tires since the pressure was low. (hey I learned something new). They also do oil changes here and service wind shield wipers. I'm definitely going back to service my wipers soon. And it feels good to let my fiancé know I'm taken care of at a place like this while he's gone. read more

This is probably one of the WORST experiences that I have ever had with a car repair place. Took my car to get front end work done and left with nothing. Mechanics tried to get money out of me by telling me lies about my car which I knew was incorrect and then when called out on it lied again. I would stay far away from this place. I have brought my van to both the Addison & Lombard locations of Cassidy Tire on a number of occasions and have always received excellent service from Rick (Lombard manager) and Larry. I am writing this review now because of my most recent experience with both of these locations. When I originally experienced some problems with my van last week, I took it to the local nearby dealer who wanted to overcharge me for a battery. I decided to travel the farther distance to Cassidy (I live in Bartlett) because I knew I could trust them and get a fair price. Not only did I receive a fair price for the battery, but Larry discovered an issue with the starter and also the alignment causing abnormal wear on my tires which I had just purchased from Cassidy in the spring. Larry truly cared about my safety and advised me to get the starter fixed first and then look at the alignment. Since I was at the smaller Lombard location, I needed to take the van to the Addison location for the starter. He called ahead to make sure they knew I was coming and since it was late in the day, they would look at it the next day. Victor at Addison took care of things from there and was very informative and helpful. To my surprise, Larry was at the Addison location two days later when I picked up the van (other issue required a longer stay) and worked with the warranty company to get my claim going for the starter (which was covered). He also informed me that Cassidy very generously replaced both of the front tires for me at no charge after fixing the alignment.. I wanted to cry because I think they knew this was a lot for me and they stood by their tires even though it wasn't the quality of the tires but the alignment which was the problem. Believe it or not, two days later, my van did not start again so I immediately called Cassidy who arranged for me to have a loaner car over the weekend (it was a Saturday) and pay for any related expenses. The AAA guy got the van started after switching it into neutral and I drove it immediately to a shop closer to me recommended by Cassidy. They did not find any problems after checking everything over, so I hope it was just a fluke. However, if it is not, I know I can rely on the people at Cassidy to look out for my safety and stand behind their work. read more
