I want Manager Tony to message me and get my address to personally send me the $6.50 I spent today at Autozone on a new lug nut. If I don't get my $6.50 this review stays forever. Since I wrote almost a novel long review here are the highlights why I am pissed off at this tire shop, if you don't want to read the whole review. 1. Lug nut actually fell off while driving. They kid who put my new tires on didn't tighten one. Could have killed me and my family. 2. Tires were filthy dirty with mounting liquid when I showed up to pick up my car. They didn't bother to clean them. 3. Jerked me around and lied to me having me wait here then there for hours, because of "covid 19". More details are in my review 4. They didn't put my jack and spare tire removal tools away and lost my spare tire key. Turns out the kid put my spare tire key in my cigarette lighter hole. Very weird. $6.50 for a lug nut at Autozone. How do I know this? Well, a few weeks after I paid $500 bucks for brand new tires one lug nut actually fell off when I was driving my truck home from the grocery store. Yep first time in my F***ing 42 years on this planet I ever had a lug nut go missing. Did the young man not tighten them all? That is my guess. Because when I got home and checked the rest of the lug nuts everyone was tight, except obviously the one that fell off driving home. Huge clues the day I got the new tires, should have raised suspicion that this young guy didn't really take good care of my truck. I did kind of feel that day something like this was going to happen, this place was packed busy the day I showed up. And with the Covid stuff going on it was awkward to say the least how they handled taking in your car and how you waited. First they tell us we have to wait till they can get a salesman. 30 mins later. He comes to talk to us and looks at the Truck says about 500 for cheapest new tires. That was the best price I got quoted anywhere in Phoenix, even though California was almost 100 bucks cheaper at the same damn company. Yeah I was pissed. But oh well. Put them on I said. He then said ok we will call you when we are ready for you to pull your car into the service bay. Wait what? You mean I can't give you the damn key? Nope Covid he said. Ok, so almost an hour goes by and we are waiting in the waiting room with our Covid masks on. I am thinking I might actually catch the coronavirus in here waiting so damn long. Too hot to wait outside though. Finally I hear the manager making a call to a customer saying, "his new rims came in". Then he says you can drop off the car anytime and pick it up later. Wait WTF I thought. Drop it off? So I was like hey dude, how the heck can that guy drop off his car and we have to wait to pull the damn car in the service bay? He was like they told you that. I was just shaking my head with my eyes closed so damn angry that they made us wait here for an hour for nothing. So I gave him my key and took off. So about almost 3 hours later I got a text message to come pick up my car. So we walked back over there. First thing I noticed was my tires were all dirty. They didn't even clean them up after mounting them. They had that damn mounting liquid they use all over them. Looked like shit. Second my spare tire tools that were supposed to be under my back seat weren't put away and were all out is a messy fashion on my back seat. I mean wtf, you can't even put the jack and spare tire tools away? Even my 9 year old son knows better than that. Third when I was putting the tools back in their pouch I noticed my spare tire key was missing. So I went back to the office and was like where is my key? So the young kid comes out and says he put my spare tire key in my cigarette lighter hole in the center compartment of my Truck. What in the sam hell? I was thinking what was the F###ing reason you put it in there, couldn't you just put it away back in it's proper location? Then the kid has this kind of look on his face, like I am wasting his time with my ignorant inquiry regarding my spare tire key look. I then say it is an odd place to put a tire key. He then proceeds to say it happens all the time, that people can't find it and it is there, like it is policy to put the damn spare tire key in the cigarette lighter hole. So another worker came up to us and saw the tires all dirty and said hey do you want us to wash them before you leave. I was like I just want to go home, because it was burning hot that day. So I took off. On the way home I remember thinking I hope he put the tires on right. hahahahaha I guess I got that answer when the lug nut fell off today. Instead of taking the truck back I checked tightened all the lug nuts myself today. And put the new one on I bought at Autozone. I don't trust these bastards to touch my truck ever again. Hands down the WORST customer service experiance i have had in a while, i came in with a flat front tire and purchased two new tires, it was very difficult to get anyone to make eyecontact and help me, the entire time i was there the guys in the shop were yelling at each other i can understand a bit of fun at work but it was not professional at all, the app text me to let me know my car was done but no one came out and called my name to give me my keys i sat and waitied then finally approached the counter again hard to get eye contact or assitance i explained i recieved a text saying the car was ready they found my keys gave me a small recipt with no print out and said i think they did both tires.... when i got to my car they put the new tires on the front so i guess ill go to my fountain hills location to have it fixed as all manufacturers recomed they go on the rear axel. read more

Fast service and fair pricing My wife had a flat after something odd cause a metal shard to puncture her sidewall while driving. We took it the our closest Discount Tire. I thought the first quote sounded high. So, we called around and found that their pricing was on par with everyone else. Depending on the fees, it was a little higher than some, and a lot lower than others. Turns out, tire prices have risen a good amount in the past two years. Not a good place for a free tire repair, unless they just sold you a new set of tires instead. It a shame that I feel like I am dealing with a car salesmen when I come here, so they are not all ways my first choice to buy tires. Now I don't mind waiting but, as I sat their I noticed, that people that came in and bought tires where put in front of about 3 of us just waiting for flat repair. I ask bout it a was told they had appt., but their was no one on their appt. board. Now its lunch time and heard one employee (assume a manager) send people to lunch. Here goes another hour. Would be nice it they had WIFI service since they make you wait 2 hrs for service. I knew I should have sent my wife to do this, she all ways get prompt attention. I took my tire to discount tire. Since it got a nail and it flatten my truck tire we always take it to discount tire on Indian school. This is the first time we had gone to the one on McDowell and 99th and I'm so pissed off due to the fact I took my tire since 8am and I'm barely going to pick my tire up at 11am almost 3 hours with my tire so they can tell me they can't fix or patch my tire. My father in law who's been bringing my truck to fix my tire or put brand new wheels. We been here often at the Indian school location and they had no problem helping me patch my tire and fix it for me. I go to another new location and all of a sudden they can't fix it ? I just took the same tire last two months before my truck started running again. This is some bullshit. 3 fucking hours for what? So they can't do shit. I've been a Discount tire customer for over 20 years thru 5 states, I have thousands spent there on tires for numerous cars. Nowadays, Discount Tire is a high-pressure sales and disorganized mess and it sucks to go in there. Just now, at this location I tried to get a flat repair on a tire that were the same size on a set of wheels for my truck. It appears that another Discount Tire sold me the incorrect load rated tires (of which this is my 2nd set) and now THIS location refuses to repair the flat- DISCOUNT ORIGINALLY SOLD ME THIS WHEEL AND TIRE SETUP, and INSTALLED IT. Mesa, AZ University. Nice people, and may have even helped me with my flat, but too far out. 2 weeks ago the other location near 99th Tolleson fixed the OTHER front wheel- no problem but of course, under tightened my locks, causing them to fall off. Went back to BUY a new set of locks, and wouldn't you know, their inventory is fkced up so 19 in stock, ZERO on the shelf. Good job! Thanks for wasting my afternoon paying to fix YOUR mistakes. Several months before that, I ordered a new set of front tires from Discount in LV NV on Rancho, the assured me the tires were going to be there before Friday- assuring me they were coming from CA in time for my move- I needed these tires for my truck. Of course, Discount didn't have them in CA but GA or some other foresaken place, no one called me to tell me they didnt have them in stock, went to Firestone they had the tires in stock, that day no problem. The idiot sales guy there had the balls to call me a week later, telling my my "tires arrived"- of course I chewed him out. these are just 3 of the most recent screwups I've encountered with Discount Tire as a whole- between selling me wheels and tires they no longer want to service and hinting to buy NEW tires, and generally screwing up and undertightening lugs, and expecting me to spend days waiting on them to correct their inventory it's better to find a different place for my cars. There are many more, Federal Way, WA switched tires on my order which I paid for- installed them on the car, without my permission, and I caught them. Disorganized, dishonest and high pressure. No more. SIck and tired of being hassled every time I go in the place. TL;DR- high pressure sales, won't honor their previous work, messy inventory so nothing arrives on time or is in stock. Avoid. Took car in yesterday after observing screw in tire. They reported "nothing found." We are on the road today and stopped for gas and checked pressure. Nothing found??? There's a picture of the screw that was there yesterday and is STILL there after their inspection!!! Over two hours, I never received text that it was fixed (went in and checked to find it "ready"), and now I have a 2.5-3 hour wait at Discount Tire in Flagstaff for the same issue. read more

The bad: The reason for my 3 star rating is that two employees at this store completely dropped the ball. Dropped my 2018 Cadillac XT5 off Wednesday at 10 am to have a slow leak looked at. Gave the young man my name, info, and keys; said I'd be back around 5. Called ahead to make sure it was ready, the gentleman said there was no record of me or my car. Arrived at the store to find the young man did not enter my info, and the car was never looked at. Had to leave the car overnight. Got a call saying the tire was irreparable. I was close to purchasing new tires anyway, so ordered tires online and made arrangements to pick up Thursday afternoon. Picked up the car and drove home to find that two of the four valve stems had no caps on them, grease on the wheels, and the tech did not reset my car's tire pressure monitoring system. Pretty disappointing after spending nearly $800. The Good: Salesperson Ralph Mickens is a very kind man who tried to make up for the above issues. I'd recommend him anytime. read more

I was very pleased that they price matched a Discount Tire Direct for an initial savings of $64 plus military discount. But after waiting over two hours to have 6 tires installed (4 on and 2 front tires on the second vehicle) all purchased at the same time, The second vehicle did not get into the service bay for over 2 hours. I found it a little perturbing to see quite a few customers that arrived after us receive service and depart before us. I think that when someone spends over $1300 at your establishment that you would receive a little more appreciation and consideration. read more

I had missed a previously scheduled appointment and called the store for a quick and easy reschedule. The employees at this location were kind, patient, and very helpful along the way. I came in for a tire rotation and rebalance at 9:00AM, came in at 8:30, they serviced my vehicle at 8:50 and had it done by 9:15!! I came back later that day to replace a flat tire on another vehicle, I expected to be back in two hours and 45 minutes later they have a brand new tire for me. My father left his ATV tire with them in the morning. Joey called him to tell him he was taking it back to the shop. My dad thought wow that's great customer service. About 2 hours later he gets a call that it was ready. So we drive the 25 minutes to pick it up. When he gets there he talks to the manager. The tire wasn't ready and it wouldn't be until tomorrow. I stop in at my local store at 99th ave and McDowell rd in Avondale in Arizona for an estimate to replace all 4 tires, and to fill a low tire so my light would turn off. And though I had to wait for 45 min. it was worth it. The tech had not only got my light to turn off, but removed the nail that caused the leak, and repaired my tire. And the total cost for all this $0.00. And people say nothing in life is free. I recently went there for a flat tire. At first I was getting upset that it was taking so long as my car was sitting in the parking lot and the sales people were talking amongst themselves. I saw sever empty bays and the shop was not busy at the moment. After about 30 minutes, I went up to the front desk and explained to a gentleman that it was only about 30 minutes until my child was getting out of school and that she goes to an Autism school and needed to know if I should call for an uber. He said I should be fine. He went out to the shop and came back and said I be done in 15 minutes. He was right. I was worried about getting to the school on time but they helped be get there on time. Extremely happy with the service provided! Went in for an estimate to compare prices with what my dealer recommended and ended up saving more than half the $! They were transparent in the recommendations and helped me with my personal situation to figure out what I needed most. Every single staff member I encountered was nice and polite and although they were very busy, they made sure to inform those waiting that they were aware of them and appreciated their patience. I was informed that there were around 10 cars ahead of me and my car would be ready in 90 minutes which was totally reasonable on a busy Saturday. Second to none, and the sales force is knowledgeable and informative. The crew at Discount Tires is second to none. It was about 3:45, Saturday afternoon when I noticed, what I thought was a small leak in one of my tires. I brought my vehicle to Discount Tire to have the tire looked at before it went flat. Once I arrived at Discount Tires I noticed the place was packed and closed at 5:00 pm. I asked the sales associate if there was any possibility to have a tire checked for a leak, and he said, "absolutely". The sales associate took my information and advised that I was due for a tire rotation so they would take care of that as well. My tire was just low on air pressure, no leak, the tires were rotated, and I was back on the road by 4:30, at no charge. Discount Tire has consistently performed at a level seldom seen these days. The sales force is knowledgeable and can make solid suggestions if you give them sufficient information as to your needs. I am so glad I went to and will continue to go to Discount Tires. read more

01/31/2020 Update For second straight time, my wheels were balanced, but NOT rotated. I knew this because one of my tires is different than the others. When i addressed the issue with the associate, he immediately took care of the problem. While the problem was resolved, I wasn't satisfied due to the fact that the technician failed to rotate my wheels. This is his JOB! This is the second straight time this happened to me and wonders if this happens all the time. Not rotating tires routinely will wear the tires unevenly and will replace then sooner. I still give the store the benefit of the doubt until it'll happen again. read more

I scheduled an appointment for 1100am to rotate tires. They did drive the car into the bay until 1245. At 1200 I was asked if I had been helped and for my keys. When I arrived I checked in outside like requested and gave my keys at that time. I understand having to wait this long as a walk-in but what is the point of having us make appointments. read more

The sales staff were nice to deal with, however the technicians damaged my vehicle while it was in the shop. It was a huge hassle to deal with their insurance company and they finally agreed to pay only half of the bill to repair my car, but I was still left with over $300 put of pocket in repairs not to mention the hassle of having to get a quote then to take it to get repaired. A lot of inconvenience and extra money spent all because of this shops carelessness with my car. read more
