I have used Tires by Design for years -- both in Seabrook and Houston. I love the service and was pleasantly surprised to learn that they will patch a tire (if possible) without charge even if they didn't install tires. I've had tires put on a wide assortment of vehicles: SUVs, sedans, sports cars -- all have performed perfectly. I had a slow leak that they discovered was a manufacturer's sticker on the inside of the rim. They dismounted the tire, cleaned off the sticker and no more leak. I highly recommend them! read more

When I had my Lincoln MKZ inspected by Christian Brothers Automotive they told me I needed new front tires as they were worn out I checked back with a company I had used in the past and they told me I would have to drop the car off in the morning after which they would order the tires and it should be ready by six when they close. I called Christian brothers Automotive and they told me to try Tires by Design. I stopped by and they inspected the tires, and told me I would need three tires as one of the rear tires was also worn enough to require changing. They did not have my Michelin tires in stock, but said they could get the tires in the morning, and call me when they received them. They told me it would take only thirty minutes to change out the tires. I checked back the next morning, and the tires were indeed delivered. I pulled in at 12:15 on a Saturday, and they immediately pulled my car into the shop. The tires were changed out and I was back on the road within twenty minutes. I went home and brought my 2005 Suburban back to have the tire sensors changed, and they did that in about twenty minutes as well. The manager and the staff were great to talk with, the service was so fast I barely had time to finish a coffee. It was the best experience I have ever had at a tire store. Such an awesome place to get tires, rims and all the above!! They patch tires with a patch plug combo, by the way work flawlessly. I have yet to have any issue with the patch plug combo. Keep your tires running and not have to replace them that way you can keep rotating them every so often. The staff is awesome and friendly! Awesome sitting area and also has a kid area too! I've been going to Tires by design for years. I originally bought my wheels here years ago and have been very satisfied with every experience. My dad goes here, I got my boyfriend to shop here and a few other friends as well. Their communication is on point and they do the work quickly. I had a wheel bent when I came in and they were able to take it in last minute on a Friday and it was ready by Monday morning for pickup. They will go above the standard to make sure everything is taken care of. They deal with all types of vehicles too so don't be shy taking in your higher end cars/trucks here. Beware! They scratched 3 of my wheels while removing the weights. I notified them about it and they said the owner will pay half of the $400 it costs to repair the wheels. So on top of the $1600 I just spent to buy new tires, they want me to pay another $200 to repair what they damaged. Never going to this place again. Staff was friendly and helpful but I can't believe the owner will not want to cover the cost of the damage or take it off the price of the tires. read more

I don't know where to start with these guys, they're flawless from beginning to end. The first time I went here I was amazed by the customer service from Miguel and everyone else, even the owner. I came for 2 simple tires and Miguel explained the difference in tire brands, the style, and the how one is better than another...and believe it or not he sold me a cheaper, less expensive brand, whereas Discount would try and sell me the most expensive. That's just my first experience in a nutshell. The second time I just needed a nail taken out of my tire and possibly a patch. I asked if they accepted check because my debit card had expired and I didn't notice and the owner kindly told me his guys will take care of it FREE OF CHARGE. The nail ended up not having pierced the tire but was sort of stuck sideways...so they checked for leaks and I was good to go. My third experience was when I was blown away. I came back to get my air pressure checked and TPMS reset...simple right? These guys were determined to put the right pressure on my tires(because they're aftermarket this having different pressure than the stock tires) and go figure everytime I went to Discount Tire they went off of the stock pressure from inside the door which is wrong. That's not even the shocker, after they put air and reset my TPMS system they started to armorall my tires and clean all 4 rims. I JUST CAME FOR AIR!!! Maybe this isn't that big a deal to some but I can assure you no other company is so eager to please the customer and make sure they leave extremely satisfied even with something so simple as checking air pressure. I can easily say I have never gone anywhere and received such amazing customer service...and it's extremely difficult to find in the auto business. This isn't just one or two but every single one of their employees. They don't look like theyre dragging ass or seem like they don't wanna be there. This place is awesome. I chose this place after going to Discount Tires which I have done for many years, and the line was out the door. So I looked for another tire store, and these guys popped up first. They were rated 5 stars, and after going there I quickly learned why. The store design is perfect. You can actually watch the guys working on your vehicle. I found this design very impressive. The other thing I'd like to mention is there customer service. Top notch! I'm a very picky person, but that didn't bother the guys here. They were very patient, and willing to work with me as I made my selection. We normally go to the Seabrook location, but due to a flat tire from road debris, I went to the Space Center location. I was at a gas station close by and needed some help getting the tire off and didn't have the proper tools. They sent an employee to the gas station to help me and didn't charge me a dime. He took out the spare tire, replaced it and did it all with a smile! If the Seabrook location didn't sell me on this company, the extra step the Space Center location took today in providing awesome customer service did! Outstanding customer service! My wheels were stolen off my brand new car (less than a month old) and was just sitting on bricks in my driveway. We asked friends for recommendations for where to shop for new wheels (never having had to replace more than 1 tire at a time, let alone 4 wheels and tires). A couple of our more decidedly "car guy" friends told us about this place. Timmy was awesome! He helped us pick out new wheels (and we were picky/indecisive!), made recommendations as far as what would look good, and then he and another guy even came out to our house in Pearland after hours on a Friday to put our new wheels on the car. They treated my "grocery getter" like an exotic sports car with the time and care they took. If that isn't going above and beyond to help a customer, I don't know what is! They caused damage and didn't fix it. To start with torque extensions are not precise torque instruments. So I had tires put on my van. I had a flat. That's when I discovered they over torqued my wheels. One of the lug nuts got bound up on the stud when I was removing the nut and the stud snapped. This is caused by hammering the nuts on with an impact and a torque extension. The bolt stretches. An impact should not be used to put the nuts on unless the user can control their trigger finger. I brought my van back and the next day I was told it was good. They lied, it had a new tire but still no stud, funny thing is they never said anything about it and I had to pick it up after they closed. My dad picked up the key before they closed. So I did previously inform them that the hub would likely need to be replaced and because of the horrible design by Chrysler, it did. The studs can't be changed without disassembling the hub. In order to do that, heat must be used which damages other parts of the hub. After two weeks of me calling them and not them contacting me at all. They tried the old trick of accusing me of just trying to get free stuff. I spent 20 minutes on the phone with the owner and he clearly doesn't know much about anything other than tires, because he couldn't seem to understand the problem with the hub no matter how I explained it. He just kept telling me I was after a free hub. I am a mechanic and I gave them a cheap option to make it right. For a shop to change the hub was over $500. I get the hub for the same price as the tire I just bought. I suggested they refund me the $96 for the tire and I would change the hub myself. Any smart businessman would go for that. It saves over $400 and you don't risk your reputation. This $96 has now cost at least 4 customers who combined have close to $4000 worth of tires on their vehicles. Not to mention the bent rims I need to replace on that same van or the two vehicles I'm restoring. They never made it right and I'm stuck repairing damage they caused myself. I suggest if you get tires there make them take the lug nuts off by hand and you'll see how many studs they've hurt with the impact. If no studs break you should make them put the nuts on by hand. These guys are just as bad as any other tire shop. They just try to target a wealthier customer base. read more
