I am extremely disappointed with this place. I bought tires in July 2025 and had them installed here with no issues at all. Everything was supposedly "perfect" at that time. Yesterday, my daughter -- it's her SUV -- had ONE tire losing air. I told her to go back because the tires have a warranty and simply get the leak fixed. Instead of repairing the issue, they told her one rim had corrosion and that the "best option" was to replace ALL FOUR rims for $700. She went in for a simple leak repair on ONE tire and walked out spending $700 on four rims she did not plan to buy. Because she doesn't know much about cars, she trusted what they told her. That is not right. When I spoke to the manager, the only thing he said in their defense was that "that was the option she chose." That was his entire explanation. He also told me he has been "helping people for 30 years" and that this is what they do with all customers. That response was unbelievable. Instead of taking responsibility or even acknowledging the situation, he completely dismissed my concerns. If this is how they treat customers -- especially those who don't know much about cars -- that is a serious problem. Offering the most expensive solution right away instead of attempting a simple fix first feels misleading and predatory. I have already filed a complaint with customer service. I expected honesty and integrity, not pressure tactics and upselling. Very disappointed. read more

Great service! called and was able to make an appointment for that day. Service person was very knowledgeable and friendly. My only complaint is no coffee, no snacks, no tv. You end up being there sometimes an hour or more and it would be nice to have those courtesy items. Especially since you are paying so much. read more

My husband uses Discount Tire for all of his tire needs and now I understand why. They are always courteous, professional and reliable. Recently one of my tire pressure sensors went out and I visited Discount Tire to have them replaced. When one kept being an issue they had me come back and replaced them all. Dropped tire off a tire for repair on Sunday the 28th, I bought these tires a year ago and bought the certificates for them and very high end tires Michelin cross climates. Dropped off tire at 1215 with a completion time Of 239pm per there tracker app. I called at 320 pm to check status of tire and wasn't even started and explained I lived 45 minutes away and would need to leave asap to get it unless they could get it done while my wife was in town. The Store closed at 5pm on Sunday . Once my wife picked up the tire at 415pm she got home at 450pm. the directional tire was mounted the wrong way. The lack of attention to detail and the rush to get it done once I called is unacceptable. The assistance manager was talked to and was no help with getting an appointment for Monday first thing to fix the error they made. I will not buy tires again from this chain. Poor craftsmanship lack of management involvement for tires I paid over 1500 dollars for is unacceptable. read more

I usually go to the one on route 30 near I 55. I went there for years because Paul was the manager and took care of me and after that I got consistently good service from a guy named Manny. He then left and apparently went to other stores. Well, today I booked and tried to book an appointment with the one over on Rt 30 and they were full, so my back up is usually this one. They usually give decent service. It's a little bit longer wait , but it's definitely fine by me So I walk in today for my appt, and here's Manny. He's reappeared at the other Joliet location now, how awesome is that? So one of my cars getting serviced and everything is all right with the world. Manny will take care of me. He is a good dude. Apparently he went to New Lenox for a while , and now he's at the one at Jefferson and Larkin and I'm happy, so this is a good thing. I usually don't always go here cause it's a little further away from my house but definitely recommend they'll take care of you there. .. read more

I have been coming to this store and each time it gets worse. I waited an hour and a half. They said they'd have my car done by 930. I come back and my car hasn't even been pulled in. All I needed was 2 of my tires checked and my low tire indicator reset. I went to Belle Tire and Christine had my reset done in less than 5 minutes. I was told to drive a bit and if it comes back on or if I just want thetires Che ked to come back and she'd get me right in. Free tire repair as well. Well guess who has my business now! Also, I have been using discount Tire for years and I've made appointments for the first of the day just to get my tires checked and rotated. I have been made to wait hours while they took walk ins ahead of me. Obviously, because they were going to make more money off the walk in. No more! I'm done with Discount tire. read more

Terrible terrible service. I know Covid is making everything hectic but this place just blows. I drove in on Monday to have all four tires replaced, Brandon asks if I have an appointment. I tell him no. He said "next time it's best to schedule an appointment, someone will be with you ". So they have this ONE guy going from car to car checking tires etc. Brandon is just sitting there under the tent doing absolutely nothing. Well clutching his clipboard that's something I guess. (Waiting for those appointments). Anyway, after 10 minutes of this , I decide hey time to go. It's my fault after all for not making an appointment. So after work, I go home and make an appointment for the next day. I pulled in and there's Brandon... "you're my 10:45". He says. I say "yessir made the appointment." So I pull in and wait. The usual happens. He's sitting back down under his tent ( protect yourself from that sun buddy). His partner in crime comes up and begins looking at my tires. The whole thing is obnoxious to me because this is consuming too much time. Just give me four tires. I even got there 15 minutes early. Anyway , while dude is dragging and Brandon is sitting I called Firestone over on Plainfield road. Guy said he could get me in and I'd be done in a couple of hours. I tell him good to know. So after all this nonsense I go inside of discount only to be told they don't have my tires but they can order them and they'll be here in 3 days. Grrrrr... all of this nonsense for nothing. So I tell him no thanks. Hurry my car over to Firestone where they had 3 of the tires I needed but get this; they ordered the one they didn't have and it came in MINUTES!! I got one of their top of the line Tires and a battery installed for $1040. Also, the car was done in an hour and a half. Can't beat that. No nonsense and nice guys. I'm done with discount tire. Completely. The price at Firestone was better than discount tire anyway. Good riddance!! Too many bad experiences at this company read more

I pulled into the discount tire off Jefferson and Larkin .. had a low tire,found out it had a nail in it. The tire isn't in excellent shape I agree.. but I didn't have the money for a new tire! The service person refused to plug my tire or even put air in it for me to get home safely because she said I needed a new tire! So instead they sent me away on a tire almost completely flat, to go find a used tire or some airvery very disappointed in the reasoning! First, I ordered a tire with them. They said they'd call when it came in but they never did. Then when I called to see if it ever came in and I asked if there would be a wait for service they said there would be no wait. It's now been 2 hours and my truck hasn't even gone in the garage yet. Now I'm the kind of person that doesn't know a damn thing about tires except that I know winter tires are for snow and summer tires shouldn't be used in the winter time, and that I need all-weather tires on my car. With that said, I do need a lot of help when I make purchases like this. The guy helped out so much! He explained that since my car has run flats it doesn't have a spare and it wouldn't be wise to buy new tires that are not run flat, and explained the benefits and short comings (few) or run flats. I was happy to've learned these things and when I told him my budget it he did his best to work within it, even though that wasn't really possible with run flats. I needed a couple wheels balanced. Price was very reasonable and the staff was friendly - almost too friendly. I overheard the sales people talking to other customers. Everybody seemed to be very through and honest. The time quoted for the job was accurate even though there were about 5 people in front of me. I still got in and out in under 1 hour. When finished, as with the other customers as well, the installer takes you over to your car and go over what was done and answers any questions you might have. Although I was nervous about anyone touching my car besides tesla they did a good job and were able to get me a new tire. I had a nail in my tire and they were very prompt In having the tire ready for me before I even pulled up to the store. I bought my tires a few yrs ago and started having low air alert in last 6 months. I brought my car to the Romeoville location about 5 times. Each time, the person tried to sell me new ones, then checked tires and told me they were fine. The last time, the person said the low air gage was broken, so just ignore it. Instead, I bought a new gage but alert still lit up. When I brought to Joliet location, the person wanted to sell me new tires. I told him what happened, so why would I buy new tires again if their company refused to fix current ones while under warranty? I told him I just want them fixed. Good news: he apologized and fixed the two tires. That was a month ago. No more low air alerts. Thank you, Joliet location! read more

Slowest service ever. I watched how they worked the entire time and the young kids working on the cars had a mind of their own. Every time a new car would come in they would start working on the new one instead of the one that they were on and leave it be. Not to mention they deflated two of my tires and put the wrong PSI for the next two. If you come here expect to wait more then an hour and half. Go to the one by Joliet mall they are much more wiser and more professional, not to mention quicker. read more

I've been to many discount tires but i was truly disappointed going here. I took my car in on my lunch break from work and dropped it off around noon and would pick it up after work at 4. The reason for me taking my car there is because my back tire pressure was reading low on my inside dash so i wanted it check for a nail or whatever it could have been. I work about 45-50 from home as this location was by my job. I go to pick up the car after work and as i get in the car the tire pressure sensor is still on so i decided to start to head home to see if it would change. I drove 10 mins away from discount tires and decided to call the store back. I spoke with a representative that informed me that the tire usually resets it self in a day which he proceed to say in the older models it takes a little longer. Grant it my car is 3.5 years old but once you reach the air pressure desired the sensor automatically resets. I take the car back to the shop after speaking with the guy on the phone. They have me pull the car in the back and another service guy i explain the situation and he proceed to put air in the tire. The pressure reaches the designated number and the sensor turns off. The guy says I'm not sure what happened but never an apology. Ha i guess because I'm a female and my car isn't a 2019 i don't know anything about my car. Needless to say I won't go back to this location again. read more

This place is scammy. They will say they can't fix a tire no matter if that's true or not, then refuse to put the tire back on your car and try to force you to buy a tire from them. Don't waste your time or money at this place. They lie on price quotes also and magically only have more expensive options in stock when you show up. So after I refused to buy one of their tires they refused to put my old tire back on. So I called a tow truck. When the tow truck shows up and they realize I'm actually serious suddenly they have a spare dummy tire I can use to drive my car away. Proof to me they were trying to hold my car hostage to force a sale. Buyer beware! read more

I needed new tires badly so I called up "Discount" tire because I didn't like the quote of $578.00 dollars I received from another tire shop. Discount tire quoted me a price of tires between $80-$106 per tire. I was too happy about that because that would've put the price at around $450 to get my tires replaced. Discount tire is where I went. Well I go into discount tire shop to get my tires replaced and the total price went from what I was quoted over the phone to a total price of $648.00!!!!?????? Total bullshit. They gave me those lower prices to get me in the door. Totally not cool with that. So after I said I wasn't getting my tires done the salesman lowered the price to a total of $575.00 Discount!? #GurlBye the savings from going to discount tire instead of the original tire shop I called wasn't even enough to buy a combo at McDonalds. At first I felt like I was given this great deal when in actuality Discount tire isn't any better in price than the next tire shop. I was kind of in a predicament because I waited so long to replace my tires and didn't have time to use the tire shop I originally called. The original tire shop I called didn't have my tires in stock, and I didn't have the time to reschedule for another day. My lesson from this is to not wait so long in future, and I will definitely make time to call around and get a better deal. read more

This place is great. I walked in right at 8am and needed 2 new tires. I was greated at the door and went right outside and did my tire inspection. The guy told me what he recommended and the price was perfect. From the second I got there till I was driving off it was 57 mins.
