Absolutely amazing service! I stopped by on my way home from work when my car notified me it needed a tire rotation. I had no appointment and just asked to do that. I had some free time and I wanted to get it done sooner than later so I was prepared to wait. The gentleman at the front, Mr. Terrence, was so kind and respectful - I really appreciated his service! I usually don't go by myself so I wasn't sure how things worked and I was a bit nervous, but he offered friendly service! I didn't catch the name of the other gentleman that actually worked on my car and brought it back but he also was delightful! Overall, it took less than an hour and a half for checking in, waiting for them to get to my car (they had about 4 in queue before me), and the completion. I am changing my review from 3 to 4 stars and say the finished my tires by 9 with my appointment at 8:10. The team is informative and courteous. I just wish they would have a desk or line for appointments, that would be 5 stars. I don't understand haw an appointment gets you put into a line with people who do t have an appointment? Also, why doo you wait in a line for 30 minutes, 20 minutes past your appointment? Lastly, why do you have to wait 45 minutes to an hour for your car which is 1.5 hours past your appointment time? I would give 0 stars if I could. Went for service on tires I purchased online I had in the back of my truck and left with a dent on tailgate with paint missing from tailgate and a broken rim center cap. Emily Wright from claims company won't cover damage, but wants to cut a check she claims in email and didn't give a total. Replied to email and called and got no response. I am left to pay for repairs and the things they did. I will never go back to this company. After I said what happen everyone else said they had same issue and I recently saw all complaints on BBB website. I will be adding mine along with them. read more

Definitely the best service! Ugh I must have the worst luck ever, first my car battery died and now I have a nail in my tire. Since I didn't want to drive too far with a nail in it, I called discount tire by the house and it was the best decision. I believed I spoke to Gordan over the phone and he assured me that my tire can be patched up in under 30 mins or so at no charge! I was definitely surprised and never knew that! When I got there, it was relatively busy but I didn't mind the wait. Ali had helped me at the counter and was very informative. After all my info was inputted, I think I waited about 30 mins before they started on my car. Seth the mechanic was amazing! He was so helpful and quick. Like super lightening fast! He was zooming here and there fixing my tire. Literally took less than 15 mins! I was in Aw! He worked so fast and so efficient! I'm so glad I called and came here! My tire was fixed and I was on the road again. But to go home! haha but they were so nice and really helpful! Thank goodness! Will definitely be back when my tires are worn out. read more

Went here due to a tire that was constantly losing air. As soon as I started walking toward the building, Dawson came out & greeted me. He appraised my damaged tire, along with the others. He showed the damage on the tire's sidewall and explained why repairing it isn't recommended(can see the threads in the damage). He was very attentive to the fact that I didn't want the cheap, nor could I afford the very top of the line (Christmas is coming). He was respectful & always used a professional tone. I figured it was common practice to use something plastic to take wheel weights off when balancing a tire but I guess I'm not as smart as I thought. Discount Tire at 5818 North Fry Rd. I went into this location after I called to make sure it wasn't busy. The guy told me there were 2 people there being serviced. I arrived and that was accurate. I went to get a nail removed. I went in and stood at the counter for several minutes. Several workers looked at me with no acknowledgment of my presence and one walked right past me. Never said a word!!!! NONE OF THEM ACKNOWLEDGED ME! Not so much as a hello, we'll be with you shortly. Nothing! This was so disappointing. As the guy attempted to pass me AGAIN without saying a word, i got his attention (since I was CLEARLY invisible). I told him about the lack of decent customer service and that they lost a customer. I gave one star only to post a review. My experience at the Fry location was nothing short of unprofessional, demeaning and overall a horrible experience. Mr.Dawson was the sale person who I had the encounter with. This guy not only tried to pitch a sale(after I told him I just needed a tire repair and it was under warranty) told me that my vehicle had too many problems and I only had 1000 mile to go before a blow out. Did not know you guys had certified mechanics on duty that gave free assessment.... To add insult to the visit another salesman had to tell him to just fix the tire and leave this lady alone. I've been into discount tires many times, this location a few, and these guys are hard workers, they don't mess around. Their customer service is comparable to a chickfila, they wear their pride on their sleeve, which in turn reflects on the company in a good way. I'm usually a fan of the small family run business in terms of trustworthiness, but there are some notable exceptions, like here of course. I always feel like I not only got the best deal, but I'm not nervous about coming here and getting swindled. In fact while I was waiting, I heard a manager talk a guy out of a tough situation where there was a conflict about the quality of their tires and their price. The manager was extremely frank and explained the situation firstly from his point of view as a manager and the losses he would take and how he was going to compromise on the cost of tires to make up for what sounded like an alignment issue for the customer that was ignored (got 3000 miles on a yokohamas before completely worn below legal level). Then he talked in plain terms and clearly explained his reasons to the customer as to why he won't get them for free, even taking him to his car to show him the alignment, and understanding the customer's perspective on the situation by saying how mistakes happen at other shops. The manager could've easily said no, that's your fault, your cost, in fact I'm pretty sure it prob says this in writing. I've had an odd alignment before and the vibration is obvious. But he knocked a few hundred off his cost and even advised him where he could get a quality alignment assessment. The customer was happy in the end and I saw the whole thing, he was pretty upset from the get go at discount tire. As for me, it's super busy on a Monday, but what can I expect considering everyone who really needed help on the weekend came today. Been one hour, looking like 2-3 for even an assessment. When the worker went to look, he just got my mileage, didn't even try to find the obvious screw, pointing out they would have to take the tire off anyway no matter what. In the end it was a simple patch job (so free) and they pointed out some other issues with my wheels, diagnosing a slow leak (slight dent in wheel causing a lose tire seal) and am imperfection in another. Didn't realize they cover so much for a simple flat tire, they literally checked all my tires. I appreciate that. This place is a well oiled machine, literally. My wife went Fry Road location to have some tires put on first thing they told her she needed Lugnuts I had just taken the tires and Lugnuts off at my house a week ago didn't have any problems with them so I told her no don't let them put any new Lugnuts so when she got home found out they had broke a couple of the Lugnuts and one was missing so I called I think I talk to Rick didn't offer any compensationDidn't tell me to bring my truck back up there so he can put the Lugnuts back on just told me that he didn't have those Lugnuts so you just let my wife leave with one of my Lugnuts missing and a couple of them broken I don't think I would ever bring my vehicle back there again Poor service read more

Showed up around 10am on Tuesday for my tire rotation. Was seen right away and quickly got in queue. Only had 1 car in front. Friendly staff. They have new (at least new to me) receipts that tell you what you're getting and estimated time of leaving, apart from them also telling you. Estimated completion is 11:09am. They constantly came and gave me updates on the car. Was driving away by 10:40am. Out of the many discounts I go to (travel near and far for work) this has always been my favorite. read more

I bought two tires from Discount at another location two weeks ago but did not purchase the warranties because I wanted to save some money and am planning on selling my car soon anyway. Well, got a nail in one tire's sidewall yesterday and needed to get it replaced. Brought it to Tad this morning expecting to shell out $100+ and he offered to retroactively sell me the warranties and replace the tire only for the cost of the warranties. HELL. YES. Thanks, Tad! The service person attending me had no knowledge at all about the # s on the tires for sizing , I wished I got his name cause this guy was totally ignorant about tire info. I go to discount tire all the time but this location was my first and last . so I went to the one on hwy 6 close to little York was attended quickly, the guy was informative about tire sizes and what the # s meant , in and out very professional. I feel sorry for the location on fry by little York. Very disappointing experience. I called to get a flat fixed. They told me they would fix my flat for free! WOW! I was surprised. Well, I went to their store to get my flat fixed. To make a long story short--they scammed me. The guy lied to me and told me that no one in the industry could fix a flat tire ten years or older. What a liar! They phrased it in a way to make it sound like it was almost illegal to repair a tire ten years old. I went up the street and found someone to do it for $10. Essentially, this dishonest business wanted to up sell me on some tires and used the free flat to get me to their store. Maybe they'd fix a tire under ten years old for free? Not sure! But what I can tell you is--- I never had anyone but these bozos tell me that "no one would repair a flat ten years old"! Very disturbing and dishonest sales pitch. So I ended up going to this location yesterday which was the 3rd of February I went to this location and explained to one of the workers that I needed one or possibly two new tires for my vehicle because one of my tires had a nail in it. I also explained to the worker that I had a warranty and wanted to see if the warranty cover the tires and what will be the final price. After looking at my vehicle the salesman came back in and told me that the tire was unrepairable and I would have to purchase a new one which I already assumed. He asked me what kind of tires I was looking for I explain to him that I would like to purchase two new tires if possible I really wasn't looking at buying four. He then rudely responded by saying that he never told me I need four new tires and that he can check the price for two. After checking the price for two tires he gave me a price of almost $800 I asked him why the tires cost so much when I have a warranty. He proceeded to say that the warranty did not cover the nail in the tire. I explained to him that I got a nail in my tire previously and it had been covered so what had changed. He proceeded to ignore the whole question and asked me if I wanted to purchase the tires or not. I asked him if there was any other cheaper tires that he can offer me a different price. He still gave me a price of about $600 I told him I would go somewhere else to see if I can compare prices. After going to Walmart and speaking with the manager there he asked me if I had a warranty on my tires I explain to him that I did have a warranty with Discount Tires. The manager stated that my tire should be covered through Discount Tires I told him that I just left there and they told me that my tires are not covered. I then decided to go to a different Discount Tire location and when I got there I was told a whole different story of how my tires were covered with the nail in them. At the new location I was able to get two brand new tires for $249. I have since contact Corporate to let them know that they might want to talk to their employees and explain to them what warranty covers and doesn't cover. I really don't feel like I should have had to go all the way to another location in order for me to get good service. Not sure if the other guy at the other location was mad because they were getting ready to go within the next hour or trying to play me because I'm a female. But the service on Fry Road was horrible and unacceptable. Even though I live right around the corner I will not be going to that location again because the customer service there was so horrible. read more
