Depending on who the manager is and who is working the desk, really depends on the level of service received. I was told by one guy that none of the coupons/ promotions could be applied to any of the services I got. Not the $10 off an oil change or $50 off front or back break service (even though I was get both done). I asked the female manager and she said they could be applied. The team over at this NTB did an amazing work mounting and balancing my tires. They are professional and know the trick to properly mount and balance the aftermarket wheels and offroad tires by lining up the yellow dot on the sidewall to the valve stem (tires balance better with minimal weights). The gentleman who balanced the tires even went out of his way by installing the balance weights on area that will not interfere with my brake calipers. Now that is an awesome service. I stopped in to get a blown tire replaced. The man bearded man behind the counter seemed annoyed I walked in his shop. I brushed it off and greeted him with a "Hey how are you doing?" He replied with a curt, "Help you?" I reluctantly brushed the second offense off as well. He couldn't find me in the system so he asked for my keys to help locate my account. The third strike was attitude he had taking my keys. I quickly demanded my keys back and walked out. There were at least 5 tire shops in a five mile radius and chose to spend money at one with better customer service. This is not the one for me. I hope your front staff gets better. read more

I use a different tire place for MY cars but my man has always been loyal to NTB. 3 tires replaced with less than 20,000 miles over the last 2 years and they just don't seem to care, to offer anything when it sure SEEMS LIKE we got crap tires. It wasn't until I called someone else (Discount Tires - where we're going to buy next time) that they 'found' the tire I needed in stock. This is the last time. Yes I needed help desperately as I realized I had a nail in my back tire. It was late, close to 8 pm. Everything else was closed, but Matt at NTB said it was a late night and come in. He personally assisted me and changed my tire himself. Upon lea the store, he show me another nail that was almost penetrating my front tire ! Had a morning oil change appointment at the Katy Fwy location. I was completely caught off guard by how rude and unprofessional Dominic was when helping me. He was terrible and even laughed when I told him I no longer wanted the service and would be contacting his supervisor. *** contacted the store manager, Chase Faske, and he totally blew me off and said he would "talk" to Dominic. Offered nothing for my troubles and told me to come back at another time to try again. called corporate and they handled it like it should've been handled in store. read more

I have never received such horrible service. Last week on the 4th of July I took my car to get 2 new tires because I was going out of town. I didn't expect much to be opened because of the holiday which was fine. After about an hour of waiting, they came out with a $2100 dollar quote, telling me not only did my tires need to be replaced but my cv axel was leaking, I needed a $980 battery check (it's a brand new battery), and all of my brake pads were metal to metal. I declined all except the tires and the brake pads. I asked them to bring out the old brake pads and the front ones were cracked but the back ones were fine. The lady at the front even made a comment they were fine but they replaced them anyway. $1400 and 2 and a half hours later I was on my way. Someone has to pay for their unbelievably high labor price. All this past week I had been hearing a grinding noise when I pressed the brake. My husband and I took the car back and let them know. They said they would take a look at it and it would be ready soon. We went to go eat and 2 hours later we called to see if it was ready. The lady at the front said they were working on it right then. We drive back to the store (40 minutes later) and they haven't even pulled the car into the garage!! The lady at the front is conveniently not there so we told another person that she said it was being worked on. They call the lady and she lied to the person saying she told us she would call us when it was ready!! I should have been skeptical when we got there and the manager immediately pulled it in the garage and started working on it!!! The guy looks at it and says it's fine. He takes it for a spin and brings it back into the garage. Now it's the front brake pad. They come back and say their own brake pads that they originally installed on the car aren't doing well with the car and they are installing the "premium" brake pads instead. They test drove it again and it's still making the same noise. I will not be coming back here. read more

I was there on Thursday Jan 9 and had my back two tires were changed .. no drama there..drama started when my work was done. It's 7 pm. Been there since 4 pm for two tires. Then the drama started. My car didn't want to start . Then it started but was trembling.. Gee.. it drove in fine but now still in the tire bay the car didn't want to start or drive. He told me, wait time is over 2 hrs because they were short staffed so I decided to wait until afternoon. I went by at 1 o'clock or so and they were still busy. I dropped off my car and I got a courtesy call before 5 saying it was ready. I feel valued as a customer because he informed me it'll be a wait time but the job was done right and at a fair price. Free lifetime rotation with purchase...yeah right. Every time I'm there they say it will take hours. Who can wait hours for a simple rotation. I just saw several guys in the warehouse on their phones. Sitting down. No cars in the bays. Yet 1.5 hour wait for a rotation. Always an excuse. Also, never want to patch tire always excuse tire tread too low even though it's way over 3/32. Horrible service read more

I bought tires from them last week for my F-150. While there they told me I needed new shocks because mine were leaking and in need of repair. I've been a racer and car restorer for 40 years so I declined the service and went I got the truck back home I went under it and inspected it myself. It was a bald-faced, straight up lie. There were no signs of oil leaks on my shocks anywhere to be seen. The visual inspection showed them to be in perfectly serviceable condition. A subsequent drive to Austin and back demonstrated that they had perfectly normal rebound and compression damping. Buyer beware. If they're trying to cheat me, then you should probably get a second opinion before having them do any work they recommend. read more

I called ahead to get a price check on an oil change and tire rotation and the price was good so the employee suggested I make an appointment. I made my appointment at 2:30 after I was told it would only take 45 minutes to an hour. I arrived early at 2:15. After an hour my car was still not even in a bay. I asked a worker how much longer it would be because I made my appointment for 2:30 thinking I would have plenty of time to get in and out to make a 4:00 meeting. After I complained, at 3:30 my car went in and I was promised a 30 minute service. I didn't get out until The dumb thing was there wasn't even 4 other people waiting ahead of me. I had a nail in my tire this morning and took my car to NTB right by our office. They fixed it in less than 10 minutes and refused to let me pay them. They said they are doing puncture repairs for free because of all the debris in the roads from the flooding. NTB has again tried to pull a scam on me 10 year customer and spent lots of hard earned money at this store Purchased tires , battery , brakes & shocks over the years Last year had my wife's car in for alignment, balancing and rotation ( I purchased their 3,year plan in advance ). They told me needed $1300 for some needed work. I declined took the sheet to Lincoln dealer and they told me NO Last month my Hummer needed balancing ,rotation and alignment also on pre-pay plan Told me needed$950 worth the repairs. Took my hummer to two other garages both said NO Yesterday took hummer in to have weights put on back side of wheel and told me weights put on outside gives truer balance. ( only 2 wheels ) I asked why after 10 years they told me this. I waited 2.5 hours for an alignment. I asked a couple times after an hour and half of waiting when the person at the front told me it would just be an hour wait. I waited at 2.5 hours and then decided to leave. Right when I wanted to leave, they had someone run out and pull my car into the garage. I called last night to get a quote on getting a tire replaced. The employee quoted $166 with installation. It seemed to be a good deal, so I asked to set up an appointment. The employee told me to just come in in the morning. I came in at 8:30 AM this morning, and the staff here didn't even get to my car until 10:30 AM. At no point did anyone lead me to believe it would take that long. On top of that, the quote came out to be $235!!! Apparently, it was $166 PLUS installation, not WITH installation. Since they had a sale going on, I decided to go ahead and replace all four tires. By the way, it is now noon, and I am still trying to get someone to let me talk to the manager. I was prepared to spend money on the tires, because that's usually how it goes. I was not prepared for the staff to ignore two of the items listed in their "customer bill of rights": 1) appointments gladly accepted, but never required 2) we will always provide a time estimate and keep you updated on the progress of your vehicle Do yourself a favor, and take your car ANYWHERE but here! read more

Snotty attitude both days we went. First day was "we won't even begin to look at for at LEAST two hours". We weren't going to wait that long for a simple oil change and tire rotation. We left with thoughts to come in at open. Their first available appointment was 9:30 but showing up at open will likely get us in immediately. We ended up getting a coupon at the grocery store after we left. Score! $19.88 for oil change and tire rotation so we will save $20! Show up at open and their computers are down. "We can't help you' since we don't know how much oil to put in or what filter to use". Guess google was down too. They also laughed when we asked them use a plastic covered socket to remove the lug nuts (we brought one) so it would protect our rims. Arrogant and didn't want our money. We will keep buying tires from discount tire. Great news is: the firestone on north fry honored the oil change and rotation coupon. Thanks for paying for the advert ntb! It helped get us in and out of firestone who were happy to take the extra care we wanted with our rims and even liked the socket since it helped protect the rim. read more

I usually go to discount tire because of stuff like this...unfortunately at the time I needed a certain size they didn't have in stock at the moment, but ntb did, and this is the reason why I went to them. Two months later I get a nail in my tire and it's deemed no good. I'm like ok, it's covered it's cool... nope..come to find out they didn't cover my tire when I bought it, so now I have to buy a new one. How they opted me out of this? New guy brought out a Veteran worker to diagnose if I needed a rotation on a worn out tires. They suggested no need for rotation nor buy new tires yet since it still has some life on it. It is a good feeling not being over sold and tricked by something compare to other NTB location that I have experienced in the past where they try to sell more unnecessary services and products.
