I have been taken my truck and my daughter's car for service since I moved to Katy 5 years. I gave them a second chance since they forgot to put the drain bolt washer on and that's the reason why I went there for from the beginning no discount and no apologies. This could have messed up my daughter's car and I'm the one who found the mistake. They have a three lane Bay and you have cars waiting 20 to 30 minutes even though you were there first before one of the bay opened up that person got to go first. No one kept me in a loop about how long is the wait and waited little over 30 min and nothing. This company lost my business. Don't take your car here unless you know how to look under the hood and just do it your self meaning oil leak on my driveway because of missing drain bolt washer. read more

Extremely dishonest team, charged me twice for inspections after saying the first one would be the only one charged for. They were quick to greet us when we pulled in, to check on us while we waited in car. How incompetent do you have to be to SNAP a tire lug nut? Took my car in for an oil change and tire rotation. While rotating my tires the unqualified technician snapped the lug nut, bolt and all, on my drivers side tire. Keep in mind, that is something that is incredibly rare, lug nuts do not just break off on a 2023 car with under 14,000 miles. The staff left me waiting in the waiting area for a long time, I could see them gathered around my tire laughing together. I assumed it was just coworkers cutting up together as they worked UNTIL one of them bothered to come tell me they broke my lug nut. There was no apology given, just "we can fix it next week". I informed the lady I have a 300 mile business trip scheduled for tomorrow and she told me it's no big deal, drive it, it's ok. That does not work for me. I told them I would take it to a shop have it fixed and send them the bill. The manger (who refused to speak to me) told his associate to tell me he would not reimburse me for the damage they caused. Unique new experience @ Valvoline - stay in your car and watch the oil change on TV. They have a camera under the hood and another camera under the car. There's a timer running constantly and I was out of there in less than 15 minutes. Prices seem to be comparable to other places. Service was fantastic. Everyone was pleasant. When they finish the oil change they measure the oil and show you the dipstick to confirm the right oil level and you can see it's clean oil. A nice touch. This service allows that pesky oil change to be a breeze. I normally go to my dealership and an oil change is about $75 for my 2015 VW. However, you have to set an appointment and wait maybe a couple of hours. Here, there is no appointment required whatsoever. You simply get in line and wait your turn. You never have to get out of your car! Because the hood of your car is up, they have a camera set up so you can see what they are doing. It is actually pretty cool. They have a timer running too and my oil change was complete in less than 15 minutes! The one downside is they will try to sell you every other service. But you can of course turn them down. So let's talk price. My oil change plus air filter came to about $120 after a $25 off coupon. So I did pay almost double of what I would pay at my dealership. But I also spent a lot less time there, so I mean it's up to you if it's worth it. I would be back if I am in a pinch and can't wait to schedule one with my dealership! read more

Absolutely one of the most professionally staffed and managed quick oil change station I had ever been to. Nicolas, the technician, was friendly and very courteous. He asked for permission before performing each task and then explained each task. Bianca, the manager was very friendly and explained all the services, cost, and paperwork with me. The most impressive character of this shop was the lack of verbal up-selling. 90% of the quick oil change shops I had ever been to including the other Vavoline in the area made up-selling their priority. At the end of the oil change, Bianca gave me a recommendation sheet with my receipt and that was it. I really appreciated the respect that this Vavoline displayed to all customers and I. OK, I've used this Valvoline Oil Change location a total of 5 times now, and 4 of the experiences were terrible (one time they had run out of oil - on a Saturday morning no less!). Today, after sitting in line for 30 minutes, I gave up (as did other customers who were waiting for an 'instant' oil change. I timed it And I was second in line. There was NO-ONE to que up the cars, or advise that some lines would be longer time due to transmssion fluid changes or whatever. After sitting in line for a half hour, I backed out and left - not once did an employee even come into drive area to speak to any of the vehicles! All I wanted was an advertised 15 minute oil change, and again this Valvoline Oil change location failed miserably. I will never use this Valvoline location again, and would highly recommend everyone AVOID THIS WORTHLESS BUSINESS if you at all can. Unless perhaps, you don't care to spend several hours trying to get a simple oil change! I would give this location a ZERO or Negative star rating if I could! read more

I was in the area visiting a friend and needed an oil change so I stopped in. I never write reviews but felt like I needed to brag on how amazing the service and value is here! Conventional oil change for $30 (normally $44 but I had a coupon. He gave me the reduced price without asking for the coupon!). I also got half off a new tail light. He looked at my air filters and fluid levels and was completely honest about not needing to replace many components bc they're fine. Gabriel was also super polite and helpful, and offered me discounts and was not pushy at all. I have taken my car to Valvoline for a while now and I took my car to ford because I had a recall and decided to get the oil change done there this time. Turns out Valvoline over tightens the oil drain plug so tight that the dealer had to drill the plug. That's not a big deal $7 plug get it replaced whatever. They tightened my oil drain plug soo tight that my engine oil pan had a crack in. Cost $600 at the dealer to replace I was lucky it wasn't a big crack to where it was leaking but avoid Valvoline or any instant oil change places because they may have cheap prices they also have cheap technicians. I'll be seeing them in small claims court. read more
