I have no complaints whatsoever about this store or any other discount tire in the area. The employees are always extremely courteous, helpful and have positive attitudes. As usual, with such great customer service, the store are usually packed. These guys are great to get you in the door and out as soon as possible. If you don't have an appointment, it doesn't hurt to be there waiting at open! I always buy tired for my vehicle from discount just because they always do a great job. My car was damaged here -- and they refused to take responsibility! I've always had great service at Discount Tire Stores, until this time. I had new Tire Pressure Monitor System (TPMS) devices placed in all four tires, but they wouldn't "connect" to the TPMS central system. I returned twice asking if they could reset the system, and the 2nd time they told me they Hyundai Dealer would have to reset it. So I took it to Hyundai and they told me that "Incorrect TPMS monitors were placed, as they were after-market products." I returned to the Lafayette, Colorado store, and was told by Adam Garcia that they would replace them, for no extra cost, which they did. But then, when they were replaced, I quickly jumped in the car to drive away as I was in a hurry. But, when I got to my next destination, I got out and noticed a rather large "mark" on the driver's side rear quarter-panel, just in front of the rear tire. Then, I noticed that the rear quarter panel had been damaged, with rivets broken and the panel sticking out from the car. The panel may have been temporarily pushed back at the store, to make it less visible, but by the time I got to my next destination, it was quite the eyesore! I took photos of it there and would have called them, but the store was then closed. I returned this morning to talk to Adam. I asked him to take a look at the car, which he did, and then he tried to assert that perhaps all the damage had already been present, including some very significant metal-deep scratches on the car! The car is three years old and barely has a scratch on it as it has always been garaged and protected. They couldn't repair the quarter panel. So then when I adamantly maintained that the damage had all occurred while in their shop the night before, Adam asked his manager, Jimmy Donahue, to come take a look. Mr. Donahue did so, but while I waited inside the store. Then, Adam returned and said, "Well, we're willing to pay for the car to be washed, waxed, and buffed." The manager never even spoke to me in person! Not sure, but very likely I have hundreds of dollars of damage to my car and this store essentially refused responsibility, offering a good wash and wax instead! This is the worst possible customer service I have ever had in my life, quite frankly. When a shop damages your car, they should cover it. This store, including Adam Garcia and manager, Jimmy Donahue, have completely shirked their responsibility for damaging my car. I myself owned a business for more than two decades and I fully understand that businesses have faults and people make mistakes, but good customer service means that you take responsibility for your mistakes and correct them at your expense. Not sure where to go from here, but beware of this store and these two men, whose moral and ethical responsibility leaves everything to be desired. read more

Came here to fix a staple in one of my tires, the guy there instantly brushed us off without out looking or asking for a second opinion and said there was nothing they could do. So we went to Les Schwab and the man there was super helpful and knowledgeable and ended up telling us we had a nail and that the staple didn't even puncture the tire. Discount Tire sold me a set of tires for my truck 4 years ago. When I wore those out they sold me the same ones again. I dropped my truck off at 5 am so they could rotate my tires while I was at work all day. A Michael Angelo then calls me around 11 am & tells me he won't rotate the tires because they are not the right size for the rims but he was happy to sell me new tires that I don't need. Never mind the fact that they sold me the tires & they have been on the truck for 4+ years & 30,000 miles & they have rotated them countless times before, included at that very shop. Mr Angelo clearly is on a little power trip & enjoys making things difficult for people. Don't support this store. read more

I believe very Discount Tire store is independently owned and managed, so the customer service isn't consistent. I tend to use the store that's most convenient depending on my schedule on any given day and I know which stores to avoid (i.e.: West Colfax). This was my first visit to the Lafayette location. I arrived for my 4:00 appointment a few minutes late. My car was in the bay and the work in progress before I was finished with the paperwork. There was no attempt to sell me new tires or add bogus charges (which has happened at other locations) and they had my snow tires on in less than 45 minutes. They even reset the tire pressure monitor for me which no one store has ever done before - I'm used to resetting it myself before I drive away. During my last visit to the dealership for service (6 weeks ago), I was told I needed new summer tires so I put the snow tires on a earlier in the season than I usually do. I was surprised to find my summer tires bagged and in my car when I left today. I asked if they still had much wear left and the tech told me they would get me through part of next summer so I should use them until it was time to replace them. I was surprised they didn't charge me to dispose of the summer tires so they could sell me new ones in the spring . Because they didn't make any attempt to sell me something I didn't need, I'll be buying new summer tires from them when it's time. read more

I've visited the Lafayette Discount Tire a couple times now. Once they fixed my tire for free when I ran over a screw. They did such a great job that I just came back for four new tires and they did an equally great job. Super fast, courteous and helpful. Great attention to detai. Every time I go in they lay some canned line on me to try to get me to buy new tires using fear and worry as their sales tools. When you sell me new tires, please anticipate that I will want some service on those tires before I just turn around and buy new ones every time. Especially when, as I stood in line, you sold the person in front of me on the great service that you provide over the course of the ownership of those tires. I have bought over $10K in new tires from you for the several vehicles our family owns. This week it was: "how's your traction been on those tires?" Feigning as though he really cares and trying to get me to worry about something that isn't real. You had just told me when I took the snows off where the tread life is on them. Please just fix the flat today and send me on my way. Instead of coming across as some sleazy sales organization that uses fear and denigration as a sales strategy, come across as a group of people that are selling a superior product that comes with quality service and you will keep quality customers. read more

This story begins with a warning: avoid the Costco tire department at all costs. I have a 1-year-old car with 11,000 miles on it. Yesterday morning I got a flat. I took my car to Costco last night and was told: 1) they couldn't repair the tire, 2) I needed to buy 4 new tires because the tread on mine was half-worn, 3) upon my insistence that the tires only have 11,000 miles on them, I was told that Nissan sold me a brand new car with used tires. The *supervisor* insisted that I needed 4 new tires. Thankfully, I'm not quite that stupid. I asked for my keys back (ok, I demanded my keys back) and went home to vent on Facebook. Multiple friends suggested that I take the car to Discount Tire for a second opinion. I decided to do so...and to not give them any backstory, just to see if they agreed or not. I showed up at 7:45 this morning with no appointment. The place opens at 8:00. They let me in early, pulled out the tire and said the following: 1) we can't repair this tire (honestly, I'm not surprised, the thing popped, the hole is massive), 2) we don't have this tire in stock, but I'll call the warehouse and 3) your other tires are practically brand new. We can replace one tire without throwing off the AWD. No worries, there's barely any wear on the treads. Bottom line: I was on my way by 8:05. They'll have the new tire from the warehouse by 2. They kept the wheel, so they'll have the new tire mounted and ready for me when I stop by tonight after work. They are fast, they explain things without any condescension, and they do it all with smiles on their faces. They're fabulous. read more

Adam at the Lafayette store was just fantastic, and was able to fit me in for new tire purchase and installation on the same day. I made the mistake of initially going with Costco Tire Center. Big mistake. They took two weeks to schedule and when I showed up for my 8:30am appointment it was a comedy of errors- no reservation (think Seinfeld), and no tires. I will never shop at Costco again, and will always give my tire business to Discount Tire. The service at Discount Tire was fast, professional, and affordable. Great job! read more

I have always had great customer service. Until recently. They have always been very safety oriented. Now they are willing to have a loyal customer that has bought tires exclusively through them for the last 20 years drive on an unsafe tire because they can not fix a flat without having the car for 7 hours. I get that appointments are great for most people, but there is always things that come up unexpected like flat tires. The employees at the store did not even act like they cared about the safety of the car when I tried to explain that today is the only time I can get in for a week. They were trying to get me away from the counter as quickly as possible to set up the next appointment. I guess it is time to find a new tire shoo that will treat their customers better! read more

I started going here in 2012. I purchased the warranty for my $224.00 ea tires. They have developed a vibration and could not be fixed by rotating and rebalancing them. 16 months and I need new tires. Update, the manager called me and we worked out a deal for new tires. Pretty solid. read more

Got a flat tire on a Friday afternoon, made an appointment line that night for 8am the next morning on Saturday. They came out to greet me, were very courteous and pleasant to deal with. In the end, they were able to repair our flat and we didn't need a replacement. And they did it all within about 30 minutes. We'll be sure to head back when it's time for tire replacement. read more

Went in for a basic tire rotation and balance. I was impressed with the precautions they took as far as having me pull my own car into the bay, and I liked that I didn't have to go inside. What I did NOT like, was that for the 2nd time at this location, they broke a wheel stud and then I had to go sit at brakes plus where they did not take precautions for safety. I have always been happy with Discount tire, but think I am done with the Lafayette location. read more

I am just blown away by this place and the people there! Last summer, when my wife and I got married, they fixed her flat tire for free. It was no small task. Today, I had a flat in my car's tire, and again, they took care of it at no charge. I thought last summer was just a random act of kindness for a newly married couple. Today, I realized that this is just what they do and who they are. All they asked in return is that we remember them when we need new tires. *will update after follow up visit with manager* I got new tires on Thursday at 6pm. Process was fine but within 16 HOURS the front tire was COMPLETELY FLAT! The only place I had driven was 3miles home from the shop the night before. Like couldn't drive it anywhere! I called right away and while they said the would make right on it they also said I might have ran over a nail which wouldn't be their fault but they would still help (I feel like the odds of hiting a nail on driving home from the tire shop are slim so kinda annoyed they don't just recognize this as their issue). So I get roadside and the guy pumps up my tire and then shows me where they mounted the tire wrong and air is leaking out!! He said this is common for discount tires and has a lot of calls after ppl get new tires installed by them!!! Well I also couldn't put my spare on bc I didn't have a rim for it. Why didn't Discount tires tell me this? Ok so now I spent 2 hours messing with insurance and waiting for roadside yesterday, 2 hours this morning waiting for a tow (discount did not offer to setup a tow in for me). Not to mention the wait once I get there. All told I will have spent 8hrs on tires over the past 2 days! I'm hoping they can make right on this, the manager seems helpful so we will see. Though I ultimately went to a different shop to get the tires (Discount Tire tried to match the deals, but tight financials led me to the other shop), I appreciated the great customer service and work they did on my car. WOW!!! This place was above and beyond my expectations. I made an Appointment online with them to get new tires the next morning. When I arrived they came out to my car and greeted me, took down some info on my car and walked me inside. The gentlemen then helped me get a great deal on my tires and made sure that I was able to afford the extra warranty that gets you free replacement tires if anything ever happens that isn't repairable. In the meantime they recommended that I get an alignment done because of the uneven wear on the old tires. They even recommended a local shop and I called and set up an appointment with that shop while I waited for the tires to be changed! The estimate of time to do the work was spot on and I was back on the road with my new tires and the comfort of their replacement warranty as well as the standard lifetime repairs and balancing. I know where I'm going for tires every time they are needed and I will be recommending them to all my friends and family. Thank you for the exceptional service guys! read more

Don't advertise doing walkins if you don't actually do walkins. 2 1/2 hours for a tire rotation?! That's absurd who has time for that? Also you really are that busy that should be the first thing you say to people when they walk in your store and get in line. Don't let me spend over 20 minutes waiting in line only for you to tell me you don't have time. You could've said that instead of letting me stand there and waste 20 minutes of my life. When I expressed my shock at such an obnoxious wait time the guy told me it would be the same at my usual store (Longmont). That's BS, I go to the Longmont store all the time. I won't be using this tire store anymore. I called for over 20 minutes this morning trying to assess how busy they were. I have a nail in my tire and I didn't want to drive there if they were insanely busy. Their not answering the phone at all for 25 minutes (from 8:30 am to 9 am) should have been a big clue. Unfortunately, I decided to drive there (phone ringing for entire 25 minutes of drive on speaker phone). When I walked in they were ignoring answering the phone and had a three hour wait. If they had answered the phone, it would have been a 1 minute conversation to realize they were busy and schedule an appointment. Plus, the added benefit to this business is that the phone would have stopped ringing. It appears though that they have enough business and are not looking for more customers. I also tried calling the Broomfield location and they aren't answering either. This is a problem with this chain as far as I am concerned. I am moving my business to Costco, Big O Tires or a local company if I can find one. I don't care if I pay more as long as they answer the phone and respect my time. read more

They are really personable and nice to fit me in at the end of the day, so that was really a great start. The guy I interacted with, said on the phone that the tires I was buying, they could get me out the door for $400. The bill ended up being $509 because they didn't mention the $64 installation fee and the $12 of disposal fees + $33.69. So they said they'd get me "out the door' for $400 but it was actually $509. They also play Christian music the entire time you're in the waiting room so that's pretty unnecessary. I don't care that it's christian, it's just sounds so bad, even Creed or my bare wheel rim on pavement would be a relief to listen to... Again, the people were great and the customer service top notch, just felt hustled on the price and the music sucked. read more

Barak and Sam are awesome! Got tires for my Audi A4 a few months ago. After listening to my driving style and tire priorities they recommended a brand I wasn't experienced with (Nitto). After 3000 miles I can say it was a great recommendation. I brought my Suburban in last week for new tires and wheels and set an appt for Friday. On Thursday, the 4x4 shop got done early with the lift so I called and Discount got it in Thursday afternoon for me. One of my wheels showed up from the factory with two small nicks, which they came and pointed out to me, then gave me a choice of options to deal with it. Each option was much fairer to me than to them, in my opinion. Tires and wheels look great, service was spectacular, as usual. Always courteous, up front and a pleasure to do business with. Great pricing to boot. Wish there was a sixth star, they deserve it. read more

I took my car in to have 2 tires replaced on my car. I had to good tires @ 50% tread remaining and 2 tires and were worn thin on the inside edge. These guys replaced my good tires and left my bad tires on the front of the car. When I told them about it, they said they don't make mistakes and there must be another reason why the bad tires were still on my car. I had to buy 2 more new tires to make my car safe to drive again. No discounts or offers to help. Very disappointing... read more

They replaced the flat with my spare at no charge ordered me a new tire and had me out in 20 minutes despite the number of us all in the same situation. Discount Tires in Lafayette have always been friendly and helpful when I've taken my car in for tire inspection and replacements. One time I had a flat tire and I thought it was going to cost me a paycheck to have it replaced but they were able to fix the same tire - free of charge! They really work with you and try to help out however they can. When I needed new tires last winter, I went straight to them because I knew they would provide honest and professional service.
