This once again reminded me that no good deed goes unpunished. Future business of mine will be going to any of their other competitors. I knew at the time of purchase that the tires were fairly worn and was told by the pre-purchase inspection tech that I "should replace them before winter" (it was early spring). There was a nearby Discount Tire so I drove by and set up an appointment for the following day. I showed up for my appointment and the tech came out and inspected the nail and measured the wear on the other tires that had no nails. The Discount Tire employee took less than 30 seconds before he told me "they couldn't plug the tire and rambled off some DOT standard". I called another shop and they said "that sounds just like Discount, if it's in the top I can repair it." The other location (Big O Tire) had knowledgeable techs, was family owned, and gave me plenty of advice and fixed the tire for free. The tech at Big O said "they won't repair your tire but they will let you drive out of there with a nail stuck in your tire... which one seems more safe?" Not to mention, if it only took 30 seconds why in the world didn't they look when I was in the day before? In comparison the employees at Discount Tire seemed like minimum wage / teenagers who know little about cars and just serve the corporate bottom line. If at all possible forget Discount Tire exists. They aren't there to serve you.

Then I received a text showing a picture of the hole and a quote for over $2400 ...!!! Note that this is a 2011 Prius, albeit in perfect working order. After the initial shoque, I retrieved my car and stopped by Ken's muffler shop close to home, and as luck would have it they were just changing cars on one of their hoists, so they put it right up and quoted me - are you ready? - $80!!! In 20 minutes they cut out some 4" of tail pipe, inserted a tubular sleeve, and welded it. Oh, did I say that the people at Ken's were very kind and easy to work with? You can imagine that I was ready to hug them, but alas I restrained my Italian penchant for demonstrative behavior and instead just thanked them profusely.

Do not come here unless you know your prices. I know they charged me a lot for labor, but you guys had at least 2 other people in the waiting room decent amount of workers, and yet they decided to charge me a huge amount for the "work" labor. They had to keep the car an extra day because my color choice required a clear coat. I'm very happy with the results and have gotten lots of compliments on the wheels. Of course you get the few that don't like the color or make stupid comments. To them, I say it's my car, and I'll do whatever I want. So, if you want to change up the color of your wheels, go check these guys out. They have thousands of colors to choose from. Make your car unique and have fun. The bad reviews were aversive when we found that Camping World was the only dealer within a thousand miles with the exact make and model "couples coach" pre-owned RV we wanted. These were vanishing fast during the Covid sales boom that is devouring mid-size RV inventory. Amidst the naysayers was one review talking about how great their experience was at the Longmont Camping World, so pinning our hopes on that single voice, we took a deep breath and called. We were promptly connected with a congenial salesman named Jayme Peitsmeyer. Now, weeks later, with our beautiful Springdale 202QBWE in the driveway and all the inevitable used RV post-purchase issues resolved satisfactorily, we would urge folks like us to call this facility and specifically request this outstanding young man. From the start of our selection and purchase process, Jayme went beyond the call of duty to communicate expeditiously and cheerfully, to share expert knowledge honestly, to research and mitigate issues that arose, to offer a fair deal in this seller's market, to accommodate our out-of-towner needs, and to honor his word when other salesmen might have blown us off after getting paid. That's huge! The blow-off is what we were led to expect from some other reviewers, and the risk we feared when contacting CW. Luckily, instead, we were able to comfortably purchase the RV we selected without having to drive thousands of miles to an out-of-state dealer who never would have responded like Jayme. We were also pleased with CW's dog-friendly facility that welcomed our pooches into air-conditioned comfort while we waited thru the purchasing process, delayed by the mass of buyers jumping into the "Turtle Clan" at the same time.
