Generally I've had good experiences here, but last time I got my snow tires mounted, they left one of our tires badly underinflated. When we asked about the indicator light, they said the pressure was fine and it would go away. Sure enough, it did not, and one tire turned out to be about 20 psi under. Went back, no apology, they just grumpily filled it up. Waste of time, left a bad taste in my mouth, I go elsewhere now. read more

I have always found these guys to be professional, efficient and helpful. Other stores would do well to make note of the professionalism practiced here. I've bought tires at this location once and and if I recall, they ordered in 4 and had them the next day. I have had many rotated and repaired at other discount tire locations as well as this one. This store seems less booked than the one in boulder which makes it easy to pop by and see if they have a quick opening which is nice. I like using discount tire because of their locations across the nation and ability to have repairs / warranty things done far away. For the first time, I didn't feel like a "mark" walking in the door of a car place. The staff were all very friendly, helpful and immediately said "Hello" as I entered. They don't work on commission so I never felt like I was being over-sold. Such a breath of fresh air! They delivered the tires and service in the price and timeline they quoted. They also guarantee to beat any price out there, and did. The waiting room was pleasant and I enjoyed listening to the staff chat with other customers. It also was not lost on me to hear the Christian music. I felt it was a nice, genuine touch. I will definitely go here again and highly recommend this to anyone in the area. read more

The employees there are nice and I've had a good experience there in the past. However, today I took my Jeep in to fix a leak in one of the tires that had been patched before. They told me the leak was too close to the other patch, therefore it couldn't be patched. They recommended I purchase a new tire from them. I declined and took my car across the street to Les Schwab who was able to patch it up no problem. Trying to convince me something isn't fixable when it is, is pretty lame. read more

I've been buying tires from Discount for several years and because I have an AWD van I'm meticulous about tire pressures, balancing, and rotation. My last balance and rotation was done at the Boulder Discount Tire. When I picked up the van I noted the greasy hand prints on the sides of my white van. Not a good sign. I hadn't driven far when I felt a new shimmy in the front end and I could tell that the tires had been over-inflated. I own a professional tire gauge and request that the tire pressure be left alone. Not this time. I corrected the tire pressure and resumed my busy work schedule. A few days later I stopped at the Lafayette Discount and described what I felt. Again, I asked that the tire pressure remain untouched. The tech got me in and out quickly in spite of a long line. His report was that one of the front tires was mis-balanced. As I left the store I noted that the shimmy was gone but the tires were again over inflated. When I checked them I found three tires over inflated by nearly 10 pounds and one tire read 57 pounds. This is 57 psi on a tire recommended to run at 35 pounds. I'm sorry Discount, that's it for me, I've spent two hours correcting the poor work done at the Discount shops and no longer trust that I'll receive professional care. read more

Every single time that I need to use the Lafayette location of Discount Tire, I am pleasantly surprised by the experience. Besides the company's decent warranty policies (they have fixed nails in tires of both of my cars multiple times for free), I have had good experiences dealing with their employees both in person and over the phone. It's refreshing to see this kind of service at ANY place, but certainly at a car service place. read more

For the record, this is my first Yelp review. I felt compelled to shower Discount with praise for the service they provide. These guys are the best! First, they beat the best price I could find locally, which, surprisingly was Sears. Later, I had a tire slashed with about 2k miles on my new set. Although the tire was not covered with a certificate they worked with me to pro rate the tire and get me a new one at a fair price. During my last 2 visits I overheard customers yelling at the manager. He handled both situations with professionalism and poise. I received nothing but outstanding service from each and every person I encountered here and it was a bit upsetting to hear customers blasting the Manager. I mentioned that I appreciated their approach and the gentleman responded, "we treat people like we want to be treated". Seems simple enough and we've all heard it before. It would be good if us customers responded in kind. I'm a deal hound and I typically give allegiance to the bottom line above a business or corporation. At first I was lured by the price and now I'm sticking with Discount for life. Excellent value, Excellent service. read more

They were very quick and friendly. I called ahead and talked with John and then when I got there talked with Brian. The technician came out to verify he was looking at the correct tire before he pulled it off. I just came to get my tire plugged and will return when I need new tires. read more

The customer service is friendly although I'm not quite sure how honest. The tire techs are spectacular. Each time I've been to this location it has been at least a three hour wait. This last time was four and a half hours for scheduled rotation and rebalancing. I will not be using this location for any future needs. read more

I was told 45-60 minutes for me tires installed and balanced. I am writing this review after waiting 3 hours and they are still not done. The kids working here are more interested in messing around than working and management is nowhere in sight. Horribly unprofessional environment. Came in with a badly gashed Subaru tire. They weren't sure it could be fixed, and they do not carry the replacement (but offered to refer us to another shop that did). However, they were able to fix it, in about an hour, and at no charge, while I hung out in the comfortable lobby. My expectations were low for a big box shop with a generic chain-sounding name. Was quoted $24 to dismount and mount one tire over the phone, and that's what I paid the previous time I had the left side done, then I arrive and they tell me $47! That's like double, I asked them to double check, I even have receipt of what they charged 4 months ago for the same work. Sales guy named JESSE was rude and said labor went up and walked away. I left pissed off, and I'm not that type. I called discount tire in Broomfield, they quoted me the $24 I told them exactly what I had. I called Jesse, he went to talk to someone, and made left me on hold for about 10 minutes. He was ridiculous, everyone at discount is usually nice, they lost my business for sure, I was about to buy new tires for my SUV, definitely not going to do that! read more

Avoid this store! Service is terrible. On several occasions tires were installed incorrectly or not balanced properly.

Usually u have a great experience with Discount. However my last visit had lack luster customer service. I had a tire u needed to replace and the kid who helped me out initially didn't know much of the computer which is ok if he was new. That isn't the major problem. I was told 45 minutes and I would get a call as soon as itvwas done. I came back about 4 hours later and the tire was barley getting fonished. Jorge the other guy who helped me out seemed inconvenienced when I asked for a reciept. No response from him when I said thank you. Real upsetting. I'll use discount again because I have had good experiences however I will never use the Lafayette location again. read more

Website is good. They didn't really seem all that inexpensive (or didn't have budget options on their website at least) and I couldn't get an appointment for over a week. I was going to order online but I had a question first. However, I can't get anyone to ANSWER THE PHONE!!!!! At ALL! Tried ALL DAY LONG. Both Lafayette and Boulder stores. Can't leave a message - just have to keep on the horrible hold (not even with music). Would have gone to Barnsley in Boulder but they didn't have appointments til Dec. 24. Gave up and went to Walmart. They could do it today at least. read more

Guys were nice but The Wait was longer than promised. Worse though is that they blast an ultra Christian radio station in the waiting room. What is that? I do not want to be bombarded with music and reminders about the "Heavenly Father." Next time, I will go to another service provider thanks to the store's choice to beat me over the head with broadcasted Christian music and religious preaching as I wait in the lobby. So, normally you won't see me reviewing much beyond hotels, restaurants and spas. But this place is so astonishing, I have to speak my mind. I have never seen an auto-related shop that was so clean and whose employees were so filled with enthusiasm. More importantly, even though busy with the Saturday a.m. crowd, Barak took the time to talk through options, look at our current tires, and roll out a couple of suggested replacements for the Permanent Piece to look at. And the ones Barak recommended were...gasp!...less expensive than the ones we thought we wanted. And how does anyone know so much about tires? Crazy-good customer service, fast, efficient. Update: 11/16/14 Here is my update to the review below. The store manager called me personally to apologize and make it right. Therefore, I've updated my rating to 4 stars. They got me in on a Saturday and replaced my tires within 1 hour. Kudos to Discount Tire in Lafayette owning up to their mistake and making it right. I'll be returning to this store in the future. Original review on 11/13/14 Here is the definition of an appointment: "an agreement to meet with someone at a particular time". Early in the week (Tuesday), knowing that bad weather was coming and expecting the store to be busy, I scheduled an appointment for 8 AM on Thursday. The store offers certain slots on their website, of which 8 AM was available, so I chose that slot. I made the effort that morning to get to the store on time, therefore honoring my end of said appointment. Upon walking in the door, I was greeted by a worker at the desk who asked for my name and type of car. He put my name down on a hand-written list, after which I explained that I had scheduled an 8 AM appointment. This information did not seem to deter him as he continued to assist other patrons. The store opens at 8 AM, which is when I arrived, so I'm confused how I was 7th or 8th on this hand-written list and why my scheduled appointment was not honored. This is very irritating. The only thing I can say in their favor is the following disclaimer at the bottom of the email regarding my appointment: "Notice Unforeseen circumstances such as inclement weather, natural disasters, etc. may result in a delay in your appointment. If such a case arises, please call ahead to the store to confirm they are able to assist you on time." My guess is that they will argue the "inclement weather" angle but it wasn't snowing and the roads were pretty decent. I'm not trying to be difficult here. Everyone's time is valuable, and those of us that look ahead and plan ahead should be rewarded for doing so. My recommendation to others is that you avoid this store when there's any expectation that it will be busy, because they don't seem prepared for it. And obviously, I don't recommend making an online appointment as that's not what it really is. read more

I had a slow leak in one of my tires on my 2011 Toyota Rav 4 that the Toyota techs couldn't identify/correct. I took my car to Discount Tire and couldn't have had a better experience. I arrived on a fairly busy Saturday mid-day and they took my car right in and within about 30 minutes my tire was back on my vehicle. They found a screw in the tire and plugged and patched the hole. The best part was that they didn't charge me anything AND the plug/patch has a lifetime warranty!!! WOW...talk about a pleasant surprise. In addition, all of the techs were very, very pleasant. I will definitely bring my business back to this store and will highly recommend it to others. read more

I am so very grateful to discount tire and Cardo the salesperson ! I went in with my Toyota Sienna due to a nail that I found in my rear passenger tire that caused a flat. He inspected my other 3 tires and upon closer inspection, he found that towards the inside of my front driver tire that the nylon of the tire was tearing away and it was quite extensive! The darn tire was about to blow and this is our family van that we drive our 3 children in. They ordered me a new tire but it wasn't going to arrive for another couple of hours and I needed to pick up two children, and so they put a loaner tire on and allowed me to drive with it until I came back later in the day and they could replace my new tire with the loaner once it arrived. My tire with the nail in it was repaired free of charge. I am so very thankful for the quick service and attention to detail as well as their ability to accommodate me. If it weren't for that nail in my tire and for Cardo recognizing my bad front tire, I could have been in a serious accident in the highway with my young kiddos. Thank you!! One the eve of the first major snow storm of the year, the Discount Tire parking lot looked more like a used car lot. Half the town was there it seemed. Because I waited until the last minute to buy new tires, I was among the many and the wait was long. I got to sit by the window by the bays where the guys were working and let me tell you they were WORKING. In the cold, with no end in sight of the tires they needed to replace. The entire crew was amazing. The guys in the front area were patient and polite through a mad house rush. The guys spent all the time I needed to help me pick out the right tire for my Jeep. I recommend Barak and his "Super Storm Crew" any day! read more

This place is fantastic. Not only do they have great tire prices and friendly staff, but they are just really excellent at what they do. They will check your tire pressure for free and once you've got your tires on, they'll send you a courtesy reminder so you don't forget to rotate them. In short, these guys take care of us, get us what we need, fix things quickly, and always go above and beyond in making sure my tires are good to go. I'd take Discount Tire over Costco or Walmart any day, and this is a particularly awesome location. read more

Walked in after getting a flat, was told the wait would be 4 hours before anyone could repair it and making an appointment is best. I didn't have that much time to spare that day so I made an appointment. The next available was a week out. After driving on my donut for a week, showed up for my appointment to find a line of 6 people ahead of me. They had no appointments but were serviced in the order they walked in. After waiting in line for about 20 minutes I was finally helped and my vehicle was taken care of after the people who walked in ahead of me (with no appointment). I don't understand the reason for making an appointment at this location. Also, the entire time I was waiting for my repair, the phone rang incessantly - literally the entire two hours I was there without stopping. The store was super busy, and the employees are still always friendly and helpful, but I think they could improve the process for getting people seen in a reasonable amount of time. And answer the dang phone! It makes me wonder if anyone will help me if I need to call in with a quick question. read more

The guys at discount tire in Lafayette ,Co are awesome. While driving from Pa to Co we got a flat tire in MO at 7:30 on a Sunday. Walmart was open and tried to fix my tire, it couldn't be. I had to buy a full size spare to get home. I called discount tire in Lafayette to see if I was under warranty they said no but come in and we will see what we can do. They offered to take my full size spare and give me a matching tire. I am so happy with their customer service and will be a customer for life! read more

Brought my vehicle in for 4 new tires on a Saturday. No appointment. The tires were in stock, representative said it would be 2 hrs. I said no problem. I left the vehicle with them, and went home. After 2 1/2 hrs no call or update. I called and the representative had no idea what vehicle I was talking about and then put me on hold. Came back on the phone stating "we will try and get it done by the end of business today".I explained he said it would be 2 hrs. His response was " we are doing the best we can" and then hung up on me. About an hour later I got a text saying it was done. I headed over to pick it up. Walked into the showroom and the "manager" met me by stating " oh you are here for the bronco". No receipt was given to me, no email receipt nothing. I went out to get into the vehicle and there was a greasy substance all over the tires, and onto the chrome wheels. I didn't even go back in. I was extremely disappointed. It took me an hour to clean up the grease when I got home. Pride in workmanship is non existent at this store. I have been going to the discount on 120th an Grant in Thornton for years, and recently moved to Erie. That store has incredible service, and always meets you with a smile or handshake. They do walk around a when you pick your vehicle up, and follow ups later on to ensure the customer needs were met. I will take the extra time to go back to Thornton. This store in Lafayette is not a typical discount tire store. Someone needs to spend some time with the staff and do some customer service training. read more

I noticed my 2 front tires were slowly leaking air. Took my car into Discount Tire and was pleasantly greeted by the most courteous staff at any business I've ever been to. I just moved recently from out of state, so I had not bought my tires from here. The staff said I had bad valves and quickly fixed both tires. As if the service wasn't good enough, the entire thing didn't cost me a penny. They said it's a free service they provide to make sure I'm safe on the road. If I ever need new tires or any service I will be going here. Highly recommend it! read more

Ran over there after my tire pressure light came on and I found a screw in my tire. They were able to patch it (luckily). I had admitted that I had replaced 2 tires at the dealer for a similar problem. They knew I hadn't purchased the tires there and they didn't even hesitate when they handed back my keys and told me there was no charge. Nice guys! read more

I've been to this location a few times for Tire needs and the experience has been good, until my last two visits where the service to customer(s) and work were not good. Having bought the tires here a few months ago, returned for a rotation and noted that balance had to be done. Employee advised that tires had worn down too much in the front; and would not rotate unless we purchased new ones. Despite my request to do so, they stated Safety was the reason they could not place the good back tires in the front. They agreed to rebalance. A few days ago, a clicking noise is heard; which being my wife's car, I only heard when I drove it. Thanks to the web, someone suggested to see where the weights were placed, I was able to identify that they placed where they were touching the brake hardware. I called the morning of 11/14 and was told they will get it in right away since it is a correction/rework and it should not take long. Upon going to the store during my lunch hour, Jacob is attendant at the desk. Upon showing him the issue, he first indicates those are not the weights they use for balancing...asks if I went elsewhere, when they just did the work 2.5 weeks ago. I confirm they I did not. He looks it up and confirms the date of the visit, says it will be an hour or so for them to get to it. I hesitate but agree. I waited at least an hour while I heard Jacob upselling other customers (similar stories to my initial where they refused to rotate my tires). I go up and ask the status as the car is still out there. He said he had indicated and hour and 15 minutes. I stated that it is a rework, and they advised it would be looked at right away when I called. He responds that it was 3 weeks ago, as if that is an issue - it is still a rework. The delivery was not very customer oriented. Standing there, he said he will see what he can do and went to the back to consult and then came back and said it would be next. It took literally ten minutes for them to fix it once they took it. The weights were placed too close and simply had to be moved, and the tech did not say those weights were from another location. I did not need to be kept there for close to two hours waiting; it was simply not a good experience, caused by bad judgment and poor customer service by the attending Jacob. read more
