My tire blew out :( I drove to the side to get to the next exit and proceeded to drive 5 miles an hour until I found a safe place to stop. I had my car towed and called my husband. We had replaced another tire at this Discount Tire location and he called to give them a head's up I was coming with the car in tow. I like their repair and rotation policy on tires bought here. The salesman is very knowledgeable and taught me about what I should focus on with jeep wrangler tires. I was so impressed by Henry that I bought 4 tires, alignment and windshield wipers from him. Maybe I come here after oil change somewhere else to get: tire rotation for free, alignment check for free and replace windshield wipers for my car. Now if they only offer oil change too.......... While they got the job done, I was misquoted on how long it would take and not acknowledged whatsoever. I came in to get my tires rotated, but was told they can't service my vehicle because my treads were worn down. Understood, I was open to buying new tires. I called Costco to compare prices and while Costco had a lower price on better tires than what Discount Tires had in stock, I specifically chose to buy from Discount Tires because they told me it would take about an hour to a little over an hour to replace my 2 tires and do an alignment. "There are only 3 people ahead of you right now." I was fine paying more for time and convenience. I finished paying and gave them my keys at 3:45pm. I didn't leave until 6:24pm. That was more than double the quoted time. They marked my service as complete before they even started on my alignment, I'm sure to make it seem like they finished more quickly in their system. They use a bait and switch tactic where they're incredibly nice to you upfront to get your business, then don't care at all once you've paid. read more

Of course right as I drive into town, my dreaded Check Tire Pressure light goes off. I was somewhat grateful this went off when it did instead of a couple hours ago, but I knew I would still need to tend to this since I have a long way to go later in the week. After asking a trusted bartender, they recommended Discount Tire on Blue Diamond and as soon as they said near the In-n-Out, I knew where I needed to be. This was easy to map and find, if anything, it was me at fault for looking for a different color scheme (yellow and green is for Just Tires, where Discount Tire is red). They are also located in a large shopping center so it takes me a while to get around but being near the burger place helped since I usually know where those are anyway. Greeted right away, I let the guy know I had an appointment at 2:15p for a TPMS check, and he directed me where to pull my car. He said a girl would be with me shortly. I found out where to pull up near the cones outside out of the way of any of the garages and a girl came out to meet me. Seems as though the back two tires were a little lower, but the front two were fine. It was recommended I switch the back two soon though. Air was added accordingly, and that was it. This was also a no-charge service which I was grateful for, just tipped them for the air. I was expecting a wait, and they seem to have a clean inside area in case you have to do so, but I'm glad I was in and out (in a different way) so quickly! I woke up this morning to a flat tire that had a massive screw in it. I filled the tired with my air pump and drove right over. There was a long line at 8am, but there were 3 associates and they got through it pretty quickly. Once my car was inspected I only had to wait an hour for the repair, which was very nice considering how busy it was. My wife and I have several vehicles and over the last 15 years the only place we buy tires is Discount Tire. Jeff has exceptional knowledge and can and has perfectly matched the tire we need to our needs within our budget. My latest tire experience, to replace tires on my Toyota 4Runner was outstanding. This is my third set of discount tires for this vehicle and I explained to Jeff I wanted a more road worthy tire that had better handling. He nailed it! I don't usually leave reviews--good or bad--but I felt this experience was important to share. About a year ago, I took my Jeep Wrangler to this discount tire for a tire replacement (due to a slow leak from a nail in the sidewall) and a 5-tire rotation. Unfortunately, they did the rotation first and then replaced the wrong tire--not the one with the nail. The next day, I found the correct tire flat, still with the nail in the sidewall. I returned, and to their credit, they replaced the correct tire at no charge. However, after that fix, I noticed shaking at freeway speeds, indicating a balance issue. On my third visit, they told me that two of the older tires couldn't be properly balanced due to age, but they'd try anyway. To no avail. When they called to say the Jeep was ready, I arrived before closing and checked in, but staff had already started shutting down. I had to track down a tech in the garage to get my keys. Just a minor annoyance, even a year later. Once inside my Jeep, I noticed plastic pieces on the floor mat--my OBD II sensor had been broken and was left dangling by its wires. I returned for a fourth visit, after waiting about a week for the replacement part, and they had a neighboring shop complete the repair. After all this, I took my Jeep to Llantera Tropicana, and they were able to balance the tires correctly on the first try and in a fraction of the time. At this point i just wanted to know if i was being lied to. Fast forward to last week--my son took his GR86 in for new rear tires. Since Toyota hadn't provided the locking lug nut key, Discount Tire said they'd remove the locking lugs and replace them with standard ones. But when he picked up the car, they'd left a lug nut completely missing. When he asked, they told him to go to AutoZone to buy one, as they didn't have the correct size in stock. In both cases, the communication was poor, the work was inconsistent, and we had to keep going back to fix what should've been done right the first time. I'd strongly suggest double-checking everything before leaving this shop. Mistakes like the latter can become a liability for the company. If you do still decide on going here, FYI: They will never have your tire on first visit if you need a specific. I called to have them order my tire in advance so I don't waste my time, and they didn't have it. Same thing in my sons case. He called, they confirmed and they still didn't have it. So I shared my experience per usual, and it was rather lengthy as well as historically accurate, but for some inexplicable reason, it was taken down. It feels a tad bit like censorship because I didn't embellish or fabricate one single detail. Everything that I previously stated was precisely what I experience during my unpleasant visit to discount tires on that unfortunate day. So this review will be far more brief than the previous one. In a nutshell, it was a bad experience. I didn't appreciate the quality of customer service that I received. And solely based on what I witnessed I believe it was due to an insufficient/inadequate level of competence. Ultimately, I had to get a manager from a different branch on the phone to better explain the situation and like magic, the matter was handled. Which subsequently led to me paying a significantly lower amount of money than I was previously quoted. Furthermore, I have absolutely no problem whatsoever when it comes to writing multiple reviews for any one establishment. So with that being said, on my next visit if I receive five star treatment, I will most definitely write a five star review but if it is a one star experience, I will write that as well.
