An employee lied to my dad about saying that the "installation fee" would be waived if he signed up for the warranty 3. When I called to notify them about the 2 missing rims, they LIED and said they would place an order for them and they did not. 4. 100% unacceptable service, I am extremely dissatisfied and disappointed in their customer service and their performance, what idiots can't even install rims correctly? and why lie so many times? This discount tire is the best. I have been to this location a few times. Most of the time it is just to check my tires when the dash board lights up. The weather turned cold enough to cause that this morning. The guy checking the tire pressures already had a healthy line waiting. He was easy going, and he was in his zone of making the work flow. It didn't take long and he said have a good day. The few times that I have had to get tires, the guys are easy going. I walk with a cane and it helps when they go out of their way to get the door coming and going. They don't try to push something that you can't afford. There is a reason everyone loves this business. They are fair, fast, and affordable (as far as tires go). I was surprised to have to get two tires replaced after going to my mechanic. I called and made an appointment with Discount Tires. They were friendly and professional upon my arrival. I'm used to it being packed but it was actually quiet. I spent $712 on two tires for my V8 Armada but got it financed with their no-interest credit card, which was a life saver in these times. Horrible service. They told me wait would be 45 min-1 hr... nearly 2 hrs later my car is being scene after 2 vehicles that came after me were taken back. Not to mention the complete mess from construction.... No apologies were made & based off the app they prob never even mentioned that placed me on the list. Had I not complained I would've prob been there til close w/out being serviced. And this was after waiting in a line to let them know all I needed was a freaking tire checked for leak. We bought 4 brand new high end tires for my Honda CRV. After waiting 3.5 hours, they tell us the tires are on but they've lost the lock to the lugs! Are you kidding me?! They didn't have time to go to a Honda Dealership so they put on regular lugs so that we can drive home. Service manager is very honest. I had tires that were slowly leaking out air. I had thought it might have been bad valve stems. But he said the new tire caps were the type that needed to be securely tightened or they will cause a slow leak. Replaced the caps with standard caps and all tires have been holding the PSI level fine. I will be back to purchase my next set of tires from this discount tire location. read more

Made an appointment for a tire rotation and wheel balance. Showed up 10 minutes before my appointment and waited 12 minutes in line behind no one. Finally I was called to the front desk to register my vehicle and I told the individual that I had an appointment. There were two empty bays and they took other vehicles without an appointment. Finally a bay came open at 12:43 and they took in my vehicle. While the bay was open at least 3-4 workers were just gathered talking and laughing. I don't know the significance of making an appointment if they are not going to hold themselves to the time. Always had good service until today. A change of employees faces that I didn't recognize. Appointment at discount tire 1604 and bandera road. Had a 4:00 appointment at 4:20 went in to inquire what was taking so long to get to my car. The manager explained and was real apologetic they lost the 2 tires we had ordered. This was his solution Mrs Brown if you and your husband agree I will upgrade your tires to include the other 2 tires so all tires match with warranty on all 4 tires at no charge and you keep the 3 good tires that are on your car now for spares. Have always had great service with Discount tire, but Jeremy at the Bandera location went above and beyond! I came in with a flat tire today on my way to work, and heard him say it would be about an hour wait for the woman in front of me, so I decided to leave and come back after work. He came and met me in the parking lot and promised to have me out of there in 30 minutes, and he did! They weren't able to fix my tire as the hole was too big, but the replaced both my tires and got me out of there in less than 30 minutes as promised. Great customer service and it went a long way!! They work hard, I'll give them that. There were a lot of customers 15 minutes after opening on Saturday. I had to deduct a couple stars for customer service. They are quick to say they pricematch, but when the difference in prices comes out to $200, it may take a few minutes of them poring over documentation. It seemed clear as day when I include the price of every line item, but I got a "this isn't very clear". Also Tim pressed a little harder than I wanted trying to sell me a wheel for a full size spare, which doesn't even fit under my trunk boards when it replaces the doughnut spare. read more

Order online if you know what you want and what size. Get their credit card and get %5 off! Not only that the card (Syncrony) has no interest 9 months up to $1500 and 12 after $1500. You can pay off the balance whenever and still get the %5 off! Not a bad dealio. This isnt some little mom/pop joint with a kindly old man and his son. These are professional guys (and a lot of them) all there to get you in and out as fast as possible. The guys in the bays know their stuff. My four truck tires were replaced, balanced, new valve stems and I was out the door in less than 45 minutes. Ordering online really does speed things up, they had my four tires WAITING in the bay for me to show up. Lifetime balance and rotation. You get what you pay for in this world. You never remember how much you like a tire store until you're in desperate need of a tire. I had replaced my worn out tires at Discount Tire awhile ago and paid the extra for the road hazard insurance. The idea is simple - if they can repair the tire, they do for free. If they can't, they replace it - for free (your tires have to have x amount of tread still in them - make sure you read the fineprint and all that stuff). This weekend I had a sidewall blow out (see my review of the awesome Pop-A-Lock who saved me from having to put the spare on) and I dreaded heading into a tire store to be sold a new tire. Enter Discount Tire's road hazard insurance. I always fear there's some magic loophole in any type of insurance that will allow the vendor to say "well, normally we'd cover this, BUT..." Not the case with Discount Tire. I walked in and told the guy at the counter I had a blowout. His first concern was my safety as he thought maybe I had just had it. After a brief explanation, we went and checked out the tire in my trunk and he did a few checks (tread, odometer) and went back inside so he could look up my info. "My friend, you've got yourself a new tire." Quick and efficient, friendly and helpful. Discount Tire is the only place to get tires in my mind. 30-45 minute wait time isn't that bad either. I don't look forward to returning, but when the inevitable happens, I most certainly will. read more
