He then said I would have to go to a mechanic to get a lug nut and strut put on. I was skeptical about driving it since I had just watched him literally pry my spare off with a crowbar. He reassured me that everything was fine. While I was driving the tire made a huge thud noise and it locked up causing my car to come to a complete and sudden stop in the middle of traffic. The car would not move. I then called the shop back explaining what happened and one of the workers told me the owner stepped out but he could give me a tow truck number. I got the car towed to my mechanic and when I called the shop back to express my concern as to why I was told it was ok to drive the owner told me it was not his problem. How is is not his problem when after him destroying my lug nut and strut this happened? On top of the cost of the tow I now have to pay my mechanic. Horrible experience and I wish I had a way to hold this man accountable. I hope Karma gets your ass!

I purchased 4 tires from Central Chicago Tire and Wheel almost 2 years ago and recall being very…read morepleased with the service. I was in and out fairly quick, price was very reasonable, and they said I could come back every 5,000 miles to have my tires rotated for free. I left a very satisfied customer so when I hit a massive pothole last week that resulted in a flat tire and bent rim, I knew exactly where I wanted to be towed. Only there was one problem.... It was around 2p when the ordeal took place and though my insurance company quoted my 2 hours wait for a tow, it ended up being over 3 hours. Central Chicago Tire closes at 5p and the tow truck didn't get to me unitl after 5p. Lucky for me, the tire shop offered to wait for me anyways. I arrived to the shop after 5:30p and one of the owners and an employee were still waiting. I didn't know my rim was bent until they took the tire off my car. It wasn't looking good but the two guys went right to work determined to reshape my rim and trying everything possible. After a good hour of working on it, they decided to reinflate my old tire and put it back on the wheel in case the rim wasn't fully repaired. They didn't want to ruin the new tire. I drove on it a few days to test it out until I could find time to get back to the shop and have the new tire put on. The rim seemed to be fine and when I returned they replaced the tire and I was in an out fairly quickly considering all the other appointments they had. They also replaced one of my tail lights that was out and I walked out without spending a ton of money. It's been a few days and my tire and wheel seem to be holding up and doing fine. I will continue to monitor it but everything looks great. I am very pleased with the service again and will definitely return for any tire needs in the future.
