Discount Tire in Mesa is awesome! I came in on a Saturday when they were crazy busy because my tire had a nail in it and was almost completely flat. They were very thorough in looking at the rest of the tires, and they even fit me in to their busy schedule right then. They patched up the tire and even rotated them for FREE. I had a really good experience here the other day. I like the way the workers here have the discretion to make the customer satisfied--even if it falls outside normal operating procedure. Most large companies wouldn't dream of doing this. Actually I've had similar experiences at other stores, so I know this is truly in the company culture. In my case they met a competitors price in order to earn my business. At another time (another location) they warranted a tire that I didn't expect them to. read more

Just came from my mechanic with my sleeping baby in the van who said two of my tires were pretty worn. Got in so quickly and had the nicest employee in the world: Jonny C! He was friendly, professional and conscientious! He should be manager!. I saw him help other people after me as well as interact with other employees at the store and he was awesome. Excellence should be his middle name! I worked 8 years at a bank and learned lots of tips relating to customer service. He has them all down and more! I have been doing business with discount tire for as long as I have been driving and today my experience was so awesome I had to make sure to let everyone know how happy I am! I came in with a dilemma and not only did they stand by work I had previously done but went above and beyond to make sure my car was safe and that all my tires were right. They did this for a fraction of what another store quoted (I always price match but discount gives the best prices so I ended up back with them). Took my car in yesterday. Had a nail in tire. They were fixing it when some sidewall peeled away. They gave me a new tire. I mean they offered before I could say a word. And when I went in I did not know they fix flats for free. I left one happy customer. If there are any other businesses out there that take customer service to this level i sure would like to know about them. These guys are the best. read more

I called this location when I was a mile down the road on a Monday at 1:00pm and was quoted 45 mins if I was there at that moment. I pulled up within five minutes with only a couple cars in front of the store. Once I was checked in around 1:15, I was quoted 1 hour and 15 minutes. No problem. After sitting there waiting I watched well over a dozen cars pull up and get taken to the bay. I get they have appointments here, but it seems like they play favorites at this location. Maybe it's just Robby telling you what you want to hear until you're stuck with them. Asked the manager, Robby, where I was in line after waiting almost two hours and he said there are still a few cars ahead of me. Apparently he was the one I spoke to on the phone. Wish he would have just been straight forward with me. The thing that pissed me off to write this review is that when I asked where I'm at in line he didn't apologize for the wait, instead, like a smart ass he said he'd be happy to schedule me to come back another time. He followed that by several excuses and seemed happy to keep me waiting. Apparently he's just one of those people that thinks he's a smooth talker as I watched a few people get frustrated with the fluffed answers he was providing. I didn't get upset with anyone and ask for a manager. He was just the one that was always around. I have never waited this long at a discount tire in about 20 years of using them. Make sure you have an appointment or a friend at this location. Overall it took them 2.5 hours. There's no way that many people showed up in the three minutes it took me to get there. This Discount tire has always gone above and beyond. Just recently had my 4Runner in there, I knew I didn't have the correct lug nuts on one of my rear wheels. I forgot to ask them if they had the particular type. When I went in to pick them up they had already swapped them out for the correct ones at NO CHARGE! Even though it was not there fault just because I had gotten the wheels and tires from them 3 years ago. Great service! It may take some time but places that treat people right, and do a good job are often busy. Definitely worth the time! read more

This is a really great discount tire. I've gotten my tire fixed at no cost or hassle twice. If you make an appointment it probably won't take longer than 1 hr to get a repair & everyone is really nice there. These guys did fix my tire... but only after trying to sell me a $600 replacement for 30 minutes. I kept asking if my existing tire that is not that old could be repaired and the answer was always yes, but you should buy this other tire instead. I welcome the advice, but they turned outright mean when I hesitated or declined. It wasn't until I asked for my keys and car back that they found a way to repair the tire. So frustrating. I can't help but feel like they would not have been as aggressive if I were a guy. read more

Everyone at this Discount Tire location are extremely helpful. I went in to get my tires rotated. And coincidentally my starter went out as they were finished. They pushed my car into a parking spot and tried with everything they had to jump start my car. (We all thought it was just the battery because it was 4 1/2 years old) They had no luck. I came back the next morning after replacing the battery to see if the manager could do anything to get it started. He tried everything he could with no luck. All the guys were very helpful. Instead of just saying "sorry your on your own" they actually help. And as a female, when it comes to cars, you don't find that very often. Stored opened on time, reviewed with rep of my selection, agreed on tire, balanced and installed set of four in 15 minutes. Excellent, fast and friendly service. I will be back. read more
