I've been to the Chandler location twice before and wasn't especially happy with the service- not to say the service was negative in anyway but there wasn't anything memorable about it. I recently moved to Mesa, much closer to this location. I visited this location earlier this week after making an appointment online. I arrived several minutes before my scheduled time but was greeted promptly. There were a couple guys working the desk but Chris was the one who helped me out. He was informative and straight forward. The main reason for my 5 star rating was the quickness of service. I had two tires changed and rotated (at a reasonable price) within 30 minutes. I expected to be waiting for much longer and was extremely surprised at the turn around time. Chris had mentioned it was because I had scheduled an appointment. I brought my RDX to this location on Saturday to have 4 new tires installed. They get 1 star and 1 star only for getting it done quickly. However, they damaged my wheels. I METICULOUSLY maintain my car (not so much as even a door ding on it) and I made a point of showing the employee who wrote up my order the ONE wheel that had some damage on it and the fact that the other three were perfect. When I picked up the car, the wheels were filthy, covered in black grease. I didn't notice the damage until I went to clean them up in my own garage. Surprisingly, the one wheel they didn't significantly damage was the one that already had prior damage. I am furious and most certainly will not return to this business with this car or any future vehicle. Unfortunately, I'm now facing the ridiculous hassle and expense of having these wheels refinished by a reputable expert or spending a fortune on new wheels. My son and I have been taking our cars here for years, my father and mother also did when they were still alive. They have since passed, but much of my extended family and friends will also go to Discount Tire because of there service, professionalism and great prices. I love that they will also do free tire rotations, fill your tires or fix a flat for free. I was just passing this location the today with my bike and realized my front tire was low on air, thought I would chance it and ask if they could fill my tire up on my bike. A gentleman by the name of Taylor was just fantastic, he took the time to fill both of my bike tires and sent me on my way with a smile! Needed new tires for my 09 Mini Cooper rather urgently. For the past 20 years I have always bought tires from Costco, and while their pricing is very competitive (especially when they run a coupon), their choices are also very limited. Since I don't like Bridgestone and the Michelins are an overkill and too expensive for the Mini, I looked elsewhere. I turned to Discount Tire based on their largely positive reviews and their more extensive tire selection. It was very easy to select my tires (Yokohama) online and also make an appointment. Pricing was fair, although not stellar, because they always "get" you with the installation. The location on Greenfield Rd. was very clean and the interaction with the store manager was very pleasant, professional and quick. The tire installation was completed slightly ahead of their estimate and the pickup, again, was very quick and professional. I am, so far, very happy with the new tires and also with the fact that my rims were not damaged (scratched) during installation, as that had happened twice with Costco (on different vehicles and they paid for the repairs). I came in to replace my back 2 tires and my spare. Bad news and good news. My front tires could not be balanced because they had bubbles on them. I agreed that they were old and needed replacing. They would not do the work for me without replacing all 4 tires (safety/liability concerns.) The good news was: they worked out an arrangement to lay-away my front two tires, replace all 5 (with the spare) and allow me to drive off on the unpaid front tires. They trusted me to pay them at my convenience without collateral (or financing.) I really appreciated their trust and all parties benefited. Wish I could say something nice but the service was horrible. I paid up front for my tires & was quoted an hour & a half wait. My car did not move for more than 2 hours & the place was NOT busy. No one that was there at 3:15 when i paid for my tires was there past 4:00. I finally got out of there at 5:30. They said maybe we had a lot of appointments today...without checking...just trying to blow a little sunshine up my "whatever ". Came to discount Alex was amazing, no charge for fixing my flat explained where I was with my tread on my tires and went over options for new tires, and even trading in the practically new tire I have now to match the others. I've never had trouble here until recently. My last service, the last week of May 2017, was completely unacceptable. It began with my unprofessional greeting in which I was annoyingly informed I was one of 5 people scheduled for service at the exact same time. I supposedly had my tires rotated and balanced in preparation for a trip out of town. Less than 2 weeks later I found my car slipping and sliding when navigating hills on the wet pavement. I took my car to another Discount Tire and they couldn't find ANY record of my last service here two weeks earlier. Furthermore, I was informed I needed new tires. The employees here did not inform me I was close to needing new tires. I suspect they NEVER rotated and balanced my tires. Their negligence jeopardized my safety. Love Discount tire. I took my car in to fix a flat. First of all, they fix flats for free. Apparently a previous flat repair I had done at discount failed and the tire was now non-repairable. Instead of them trying to sell me a new tire or send me on my way, they replaced the tire for free because the original patch job was their work. This place takes care of their customers very well. These guys are amazing! My mom always makes me stop here to get the air in the tires checked (one of the many perks of driving one of her cars) I stopped in over the weekend bc the front tire seemed to be getting low and as it turned out had a nail in it! This location stays busy probably as a result of how great the service is, but they were able to get me squared away in a decent time frame. The guys are friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. Customer service and care are exceptional! I actually had the privilege of being helped by Preston Stillman who was super nice and great at explaining to me tire situation. He was absolutely an all around top notch professional and made my not so easy day a little lighter. The service is consistent no matter which Discount you go to, however the guys at this store are always willing to help and follow through on what they say they are going to do! Took my vehicle in because of a low pressure warning, turned out there was a piece of metal in it. They diagnosed the problem quickly but did not have the matching tire in stock. Was I disappointed? Sure, but the guys got on the computer and found a tire in Salt Lake and had it set up for delivery. Was told I would get a call next day when it arrived. Sure enough I got the call, but it was bad news the tire did not make it. Was I disappointed? Maybe a little but they kept me informed of the status and set my expectation appropriately. First time at this Discount Tire (just moved to AZ from Spokane, WA and was very happy with the Discount Tire there) to have the front tire of our truck checked as it was losing pressure overnight. Was helped by Benjamin (name on the work order) who was great. Told us they would check the tire and rotate them for free. Went outside to look at the tire and measure the remaining thread on each tire (still OK). They did find a nail and fixed it. I will return here when I need a new set of tires.
