discount tire customer service is nonexistent. on Friday at 8am I dropped off a tire to be fixed. I was in a hurry, since I had a doctors appointment. I mentioned this to the service rep but he continued trying to sell me wiper blades and lug nuts and explained the threads o my tires. I asked if the tire would be done that day. he said the tire should be there at 1230 so no problem and they would all when it was done. I went to work after my appointment and never received a call and by time I had a break in business they were closed. The next day my work day started early and was long. I refrained from taking a lunch so I could use that time to pick up my tire. I never heard from them all day. about 20 minutes before they were to close I gat a break and called. they said the tire was done on Friday. I was 30 minutes away and asked if someone could wait and they said they couldn't wait. I explained that the tire was already paid for and I didn't need them to mount it. I would take it with me. they said no one could wait and have me no explanation on why the didn't call. this is the second time this happened at this location, it won't happen a third time I like discount tire but I will stay away from the one in Mesa on power road read more

What incredible staff at the 1947 S Greenfield Mesa location. I spoke with Sam Allen first and then Brandon Castela for help finding tires. They searched the system, called at least two stores each, and took great care of me. Because I needed my car for tomorrow, I was unable to get tires from Sam. However, I WILL by a full set for my other vehicle very soon. The fact that they took time to try to accommodate my car's needs ... well ... I'm now a loyal customer. Dropped of our vehicle due to a flat on the rear driver tire. Purchased two new tires and paid $50 extra to have the fronts moved back and the two new tires installed on the front. Days later I find out the old fronts were not moved back and the nail in the flat remained. Waited an hour after taking it back and was told they now refused to fix the rear flat due to it was past Discount Tires 1/32 tread wear/depth policy. Tech told me it was too unsafe to fix the tire and had to sell me another one. DT Promise Plan doesn't cover its uncompleted work. Left with a flat I had already paid to replace! Paid $700 for this bait and switch, and dishonesty. Worst business practice and Customer service I have experienced in years. Find another location. read more

I had a flat tire on my truck that AAA replaced with my spare. Went to Discount Tire on Greenfield south of 60 to fix my flat tire. After about 20 minutes with the tire, they said it couldn't be fixed due to sidewalk slash/damage. They offered to sell me 2 tires (cause they said they should be purchased in pairs) for several hundred each (but would not match existing tires/tread). I declined and asked for my tire back. I did get the tire separated from the rim but both were returned. Took tire to another shop and they fixed it no problem especially since discount had marked in the middle of the tread where the screw had been. Plenty of tread left on all my tires. Never go to Discount for a repair - they will try to scam you into buying a tire. read more

Purchased two new tires for my daughters car (front tires were bald) yesterday. They were to place the two new tires in the back and the back tires in the front. I checked the tires this morning and noticed that they placed the old driver side tire in the passenger front. I just realized why the service person that provides the key when it was done was nervous. I guess they want me to spend more money there. Also when choosing a tire the sales person informs me that there was only one kind of tire available available for her vehicle. Didn't think anything of it. Just out of curiosity I viewed on their website for the location that there were more tires for her vehicle available. One of them were $22 cheaper. I went in to see if my boyfriends tire could be patched up or not, ended up not being able to and I just wanted to leave and the employee there literally bullied me into buying new tires. I continued to say it was my car or my responsibility for it and he just continued to pressure me and tell me I couldn't leave without the tires. The employee was named Zach and he was blonde, if he tries to "help" you out, ask for someone else. I know still extremely upset after coming home and being told he scammed me and literally bullied me, I'm very upset. Will never return there. read more

I love this location as they have always gone above and beyond to help repair my tire, or get new tires for a reasonable price. When they can repair the tire, it's always free, and if the tire is beyond repair, they strive to find a price that is within my budget. I went in this past Monday, and Logan, did everything to get me a reasonably priced tire. He first offered a used tire, which was perfect for the situation, however, it had a leak, and this was discovered before it was sold to me as they checked it first, so, he offered a brand new tire for the price of the used one, which was a totally relief for me. I did not ask for the price adjustment, but Logan automatically did it, and that is stellar customer service! I was back on the road with my kiddos in 45 minutes. They are great! On my way to work this morning I experienced a blowout, which is never pleasant. Compounding the icky feeling is the fact that I just purchased 4 new tires 3 weeks prior (not at a Discount Tire). Luckily I was nearing an intersection and was able to pull into a gas station where I proceeded to change my tire. Long Story short, my spare was flat and the gas station had an air compressor that was out of order. Not good. The gas station happened to be next door to this Discount Tire so I moved the car to the parking lot and waited in a line that moved way faster than I anticipated. My request was simple. "Could you please fill up my spare tire so I can make it to the tire shop where I purchased the tires?" His response, "How about we just look at the tire and see if we can repair it. If we can, we will do it at no cost. There is no reason to make your day longer than it has to be and no reason for you to drive around on the spare." Great Service. Problem Solved. Day continued. Well, disappointing to say the least. They stole change out from my car and the manager didn't seem too concerned about it. Took my car in to get the tires rotated, which was done in a good timeframe. I just got back from a long road trip, and I keep my change in the door handle, and take it out every so often to put into my 3 little boys Christmas fund. I meant to take it out when I got home, but I forgot. The next morning I took my Chevy Bolt in to get the tires rotated. When I got the car back, change was on the floor, so I picked it up and put it back in the handle. (It's normal to find change on the floor if the door has been shut too hard). When I gave them the car, the handle was almost full, when I got it back it was almost empty. I didn't really want to make a big deal out of it, but it was for the kids, so I went in and spoke with the manager. He didn't seem too concerned about the incident, which took me by surprise, and said he would take care of it. I asked him if he would please confront the guys that had my vehicle in their possession, just to see if they had a large amount of change I. Their pockets, but he said he wouldn't. This is a bit of a shock to me. As a business owner, if I had a customer claim they had something taken from them, id make it my first priority. Anyway, we are only talking about $15 or so dollars, but it's the principle here. I felt violated and cheated. I've always purchased my tires from discount, and used their services for tire rotations, flats and blowouts. But this has made me RE-think who I want to do business with. Truly unfortunate. I blame the manager, who wouldn't take the situation seriously. It could've been handled then and there, the employee talked to and dealt with, and kept a good, loyal customer. I've have been having an issue with my car's light to check the tires wouldn't go off after repeated attempts to fill the tires. I went into Discount Tire today and was helped my Zachary. He tested all 4 tires and explained the issue with with the sensor and assured me all 4 tires were properly inflated. He even got in my car and showed me how recalibrate the factory settings. Once he walked me through that, the light went off. I didn't spend a dime but couldn't be more impressed with the service and courtesy that I was shown today. Took my car in for a flat repair with tires purchased at Discount. After driving less than 2 miles the wheel cover came off. Last time I was in for rotation/balance 3 fell off on the way home! The one before that lost 2 covers. Yet when I put them on they STAY ON FOR YEARS! C'mon guys it's not rocket science. I needed to leave for work in an hour and was trying to schedule an appointment, but Samuel stated that if I brought it in that he could get me taken care of before I needed to be at work. I went in and my heart sank since there was a line. Samuel came up to the front to introduce himself, got my tire fixed and had me out the door in less than 30 minutes. I visited this Greenfield location recently. Spent $800 on new tires there and told salesman 3 times I was missing a lugnut and had a new one for them to put on that was in center console of my car. After waiting an hour for tire installation, I'm handed keys and told I'm good to go. I walk out by myself and see they didn't put on my new lugnut! It blew my mind the installer was gonna let me drive off missing a wheel nut without so much as notifying me. I asked why this happened and they told me essentially its not a big deal to have a missing lugnut. Really? Well its a big deal to me. As far as I know lugnuts keep wheel on the car! They did finally put it on before I left. That night washing my car I notice a metal link hanging stuck inside my wheel so I go in next day, told its a magnet they left on by mistake. After waiting half hour they fixed and rebalanced. If I hadn't washed my car it still be flopping around my wheel. In the end they apologized and fixed it all. But that doesn't change the fact they had sloppy workmanship and I felt my safety was not at all a priority to them. Liars. I came in with a low tire. They checked it and, sure enough, it was at 15 PSI. He said it was also at 2/32 so it needed replacing. All fine. I just need to get home and I have always bought tires from Discount. I asked him to just pump it up. He says that he legally can't. I asked if I can. He then said that the machine won't pump it up if it has less than 15 PSI. What crap! How do they pump up new tires then? I went next door to the gas station and paid $1.50 to use their pump. I originally gave them 2 stars and I never change reviews because of freebies or things like that, but I am willing to update a low rating when there is a reason. They originally didn't impress me because virtually everything they promised at their website turned out not to be true and what I expected to be a easy dash in and out turned out to be a lot more complicated and what I expected to be a promised Touch Free experience actually was far from that. I have been buying tires from Discount for almost 40 years so I really hated writing a bad review but they honestly deserved it. What changed it for me was when they called me (not as a result of my Yelp review but another one) and they admitted that they put the cart before the horse in making a lot of promises that they weren't ready to deliver on yet. When I listened to their explanation and cooled down to take it all in I realized that they were doing the best they could under difficult circumstances and the real bottom line is that I got my four new tires at a good price, got a decent rebate and getting them installed actually didn't take all that long. I'm still not a fan of having to choose my own tires without the advice of a trained human specialist to advise me and that pre-paying and making an appointment didn't do anything that special over anyone walking in off the street. My advice? This is a clean store and the staff seems like they know what they're doing. That's a lot more than I can say about most tire stores. They get four stars until they figure out how they're going to make changes that make it easier and better to shop with them. read more

These guys are great, they have a free tire pressure check station. It's set up like a car wash where you just drive up and wait in line. Each car only takes about 3 minutes and there is someone who goes to each tire and checks to make sure they're within normative values and to refill them if it's not. I've had a bad tire blowout during this past summer and Discount Tire gave me a great rate to replace it and then insured all my other tires for a small fee. I don't believe any other business offers this. It's nice to have this assurance because the tires certainly takes a hard bashing from the immense AZ heat. read more

Took my car to remove a nail that was in the middle of the front tire. Although, there was 4/32 thread left in the tire, they tried to sell me a new set. I asked to repair it, as the tires were still good for another 4000 miles or so. They fixed it, but the tire continued to leak air! Took it back twice and finally they said I have to buy new set because tires with 4/32 left in the thread is not repairable!!!! Why didn't they tell me or warn me when they accepted to fix it? I've been to discount tire shops across the entire valley and I have made this store location my spot for buying what I need. They are courteous and don't try to sell you stuff you don't need plus they are knowledgeable about different tire options that you may not have known about. I love how fast discount tire is able to make things right too! Just last weekend I was rallying out in the desert with my Subaru and slid into a dirt mound that made the tire come off the bead. (Instant flat tire!) The wheel is pretty roughed up and slightly warped but drivable and somehow the tire didn't tear. I brought my car here driving on my donut tire and they had the old wheel and tire back up and running and even pulled out a bunch of gravel from another wheel that was stuck between the wheel and tire! These guys really are the best around! read more

STAY AWAY! I have been going to Discount tire at various locations in various states for many, many years. I have never had an issue with any of them until this one. The hard sale is ridiculous at this location, the dishonesty is unbelievable. Pushed tires on me saying I would be lucky to make it home, I found another place that sold me the exact same tires for $200 cheaper. They definitely take advantage of female customers as well; my wife went in for a flat tire repair on a relatively new tire, they convinced her that the LUG NUTS were going bad and she needed to replace all of them immediately. She saved the old ones and surprise surprise I tried them on a bolt the same size and they were absolutely fine. This place is a rip off, I'll never return. Unfortunately, I will be very reluctant to spend money at any Discount location based on my bad experience at this one read more

Watch out for the TPMS valve/sensor scam!!! "You valve is leaking" is the common sentence. Don't fall for it. I've been hearing that for years at tire shops around the US especially when in military towns (former military here). Heard it again today when getting a tire replaced, I refused politely and the guy got an attitude with me, citing a very small discount given earlier in the day when ordering the tire. (Had a tire damaged from a road hazard, "covered" under Discount Tire's "warranty" and still had to pay...) As I left, they handed me a TPMS sensor and said they replaced mine for free. I looked at the valve and it appeared to be replaced. The guy told me I need to go to my dealer and have them program the new sensor( more $$$ at the dealer), but luckily for discount tire, the indicator was off and appears to have been programmed just fine (that's if they even replaced the sensor like they claimed and didn't just swap out a valve stem so I keep my mouth shut. The valves look dirty, but functions just fine. They even show you your valve to try to get you. I'm amazed that people still fall for this. If you don't believe me, just google "TPMS scam" and do some research. P.S. I even told my wife "watch, they will try to sell me TPMS sensor" right as we got in, she was shocked when the guy tried to scam us haha. I was going to keep my mouth shut and not post a review, but when I refused with the second guy and he gave me an attitude for the apx $10 "discount" on a tire with a "road hazard" warranty that were only about a year old with lots of thread left,it pissed me off. I paid several hundred dollars for the tires initially, dodged a scam back then, pay money again for a "road hazard warrantied" today Really?!? I'm seriously debating contacting corporate and letting them know about the scam and will spread the word (even though they probably know about the up-sales...) read more
