I got here at 10:30 am. Was told a simple nail in tire fix would take until 12:30. Then I get a link telling me when my car will be done. Now the estimate time is 1 pm. At 1 my car had not even been taken back. No calls to tell me they were behind. I called to ask what the deal was and they said they STILL had cars in front of mine and my estimate time would've 1:40 It's 1:45 and my car STILL hasn't been started. I'm watching it get rolled back right now. The only reason it's getting started is because I came back in to complain. How many other people came in after me and got helped before my car was because they stayed in the store and waited???? I know sometimes a tire fix can take awhile. But my car literally was not getting worked on until I came back in to complain. Better estimates would be nice. Better communication would be helpful. I could have gotten an uber ride home and gotten stuff done around the house while I was waiting. But I stayed in the area thinking it wouldn't be THIS long. Employees are really nice tho. Sienna was fantastic! My TPMS sensor went off yesterday so I made an appointment for the next day to get everything checked. She was very professional checked all 4 of my tires just in the parking lot, then asked if she can check the spare....which was from 2011 luckily I never had to use it, but it was chalky lol so she asked if I wanted a quote for a new one. I made an appointment to rotate my tires but she said no need they were equal, told me to go thru the air line and see if the sensor relights. My son filled my tires up this morning and the sensor did turn off but i worry. I was going to walk back in after getting air in all 4 tires in the drive thru lane and Sienna actually came out to me and gave me a quote. That was awesome, convenient for me and I appreciate that. I made an appointment a week in advance for a 8:30 am time to rotate tires. When I arrived (@ 8:20) only 1 of 3 bays were in use. At least 3 personnel just standing around outside joking with one another. I waited for 11 minutes before anyone helped me (8:31). Remember, I just want a tire rotation, a 10 minute job. They had to walk out and test each tire as well as my windshield wipers and wanted to see my spare. I reminded the lady I was not there for a spare. We go back inside (8:36) and she tells me they can start at 9:15 - 9:30. Meanwhile 2 bays are still empty and those same guys are not doing anything. What is the point of making and appointment if they are not going to keep it? I left and took the car somewhere else. read more

A group of people including myself were starting to gather outside of this store this morning - waiting for store to open (8 am). It's obviously hot outside here in AZ in July. The store employees opened the doors and started greeting us and conducting business about 7 minutes before opening time. Businesses usually don't open even a second early for anything. I came in at 10:30 to get a tire. Raphael told me it would be ready in about an hour and a half after trying to sell me a set of tires and a spare. If I were still employed, it made sense to do it. Being retired, on Social Security, and in medical debt, I opted for the single tire despite the difference it would make for the AWD. I'd driven about 20miles on the donut so know it wasn't an immediate major issue. The time came and went, the waiting room was still pretty full and a line was forming at the counter. I asked if they could put the tire on and call me when it was ready. They called about 1:35. I went over at about 3:15. At 3:55 they took my car in. At about 4:05 they told me they couldn't get two of the lug nuts off because they had been cross-threaded and I'd have to go to a real mechanic to get it fixed. How can a tire store not be able to deal with this not uncommon tire issue? Totally worst service I've ever had with any auto repair issue in I don't know how long. read more

I had an appt at 9:15 am for a tire rotation, I arrived at 9:00. By 9:20 the Mgr got tired of me standing, waiting for service. Mgr acknowledged the appt, abot 9:30 staff said I had no appt and that they will try to work me in, in an hour or so. Mgr explained that an appt doesn't matter because walkins and appts both have the same wait. I am sorry, but Drs Keep appts, restuarants keep reservations, but there is no such thing as an appointment at this Discount Tire. I had purchased tires from other Discount Tires for decades and have not been treated thusly before. Find some other place for tires. read more

It's ALWAYS something ODD here these days; Discount seemed to really operate with hustle and pride in the past, wowing with their customer service, but now they're emphasizing the "discount" in their name...and what that word entails. I reserved online, but basically had three "check-ins" before my car was taken into the garage...about a half-hour later (the stuff about appointments being 30% quicker when reserved online is crap, because I seemed to be treated like all the other walk-ins). You as a customer have to go over everything you need from them verbally, even though you might have checked every box when setting your appointment; this includes reminding them to rotate your tires and put air in them (including if you want air in your spare, but I've forgotten this the last several times which means they certainly have), when they used to always do that autonomously before. The guys in the garage were already screaming at each other before I even walked in the door, and when an employee went to go out there using the door from the lobby to the garage, something loud like a bang happened, and it seemed as though some kind of metal part went flying toward them and/or the door. All of us in the lobby just sat there bewildered by the lack of safety, but they all seemed to laugh it off and gave no explanation; as a matter of fact, I think I heard someone in the garage yell "what did you do?!?" at that moment - I don't know why they would think any of this is acceptable when everything is so open and audible to customers. If you want to be repeatedly mortified, watch how they honk your car's horn, maneuver, and back your car into the bays like it's NASCAR. As if I need to state the obvious, It's Discount Tire - not NASCAR. This location has repeatedly left a mess inside my car, to the point that they actually had to pay for a car wash for me once; this last time wasn't as bad, but just be prepared to have the car wipes handy, and to use a lot of them. The main reason I came this last time was because I had a slow leak in a tire, and thankfully they were able to repair it at no charge, but of course they didn't tell me what caused the leak and I forgot to ask. Are we seeing a pattern here? Just like how most customer service experiences go nowadays, you have to stay on top of every little thing because others probably won't. For Discount, it's getting to the point where it's almost not worth it anymore. They fixed my tire, so on that level they succeeded, but all their other shenanigans I could live without, and it's for those reasons that I dread having to come here every time. Wow! This team is amazing! Super fast & friendly. I went through the tire check station and met Rudy. He gave me his recommendation to fix my two front tires, one was very flat. I didn't think I had the time to do it then so I drove away. Rudy was so concerned for my safety that he asked the major Carlos to call me. I dropped off my lawnmower wheel and a brand new innertube to discount tire on baseline and Gilbert Road. They were supposed to install the tube and inflate the tire. They emailed me that it was ready to pick up. When I went in and paid the $10 to pick up the wheel, I looked and it was flat I pointed that out, they took it back, and when I picked it up the second time it was flat. When I took it back, I dropped it on the floor next to the cashier. The manager proceeded to yell at me. Why are you throwing that wheel at my cashier? They were not willing to proceed any further. Let me just say Olivia was super nice and respectful. My issue was that after waiting TWO hours after my appointment, my car still hadn't even moved to begin the service. I saw a lady, who got there AFTER made a complaint to the assistant manager (Michael) and he immediately went out and got her car in the shop, even though I was there way before her, very frustrating. If I had known complaining was going to put me ahead of the folks who got there before me, shoot I would have complained 2 hours ago. If this is how they are going to run things at this location, I won't be coming here anymore. The assistant manager should have told the lady to wait her turn like everyone else. And what's the point of making an appointment if I still have to wait 2 hours before they even start to work on my car? I will not be back to this location and discount tire might have just lost a long time customer. I will buy from Costco next time or whatever competitor you have out there. I went there to check in my tire. It was leaking air. After waiting for 2 hours technician found nail in the middle of the tire, not on the side. As always discount tire people not interested in fixing tire. They always want to you buy new tire even tire was fixable. My car tire was in perfect condition and no need to buy new tire. Discount tire advertise that bring flat tire and we will fix it, reality they will take a look tire and instead of fixing they want you buy new every time. I never have good experience with discounts tire. So the technician put the tire back without fixing. After I got by car back, low pressure sign still was on the dashboard. I asked technician that did you put air in the tire. He lied and say I put the air in. Actually if he have put the air then low pressure sign should go away. What a liar. Another thing that tire air valve cap was missing when I got car back. This technician saying the air pressure sign will go off l 10 minutes because it take time. For me he is talking nonsense and trying to hide because he didn't put air in the tire. If he have put air in the tire then pressure sign goes away right away. So I went to different tire shop and put air in the tire and air pressure sign went off right way. Other thing is that tire was completely fixable but discount tire saying it is on the side and not fixable. Mail was not in the side and it was in the middle and perfectly fixable. I went in to see about repairing a flat tire due to a nail. I was told it was not able to be repaired and I needed to purchase a new one, which I did. The next day I went to get in my car and noticed the rim and tire looked like they were not sealed well (first picture). I live half a mile from this location and knew I could take parking lots at a slow speed the whole way there. When I got there, the tire and rim were separated and flat (second picture). If I hadn't noticed before getting into my car, I hate to think what could have happened while I was driving. They got me in and fixed my tire. Upon leaving I noticed my tire pressure light was still on and my car felt like it was driving a little differently. I took it to a second Discount Tire and told them what happened and that my tire pressure light was still on. They checked my tires and confirmed that they had only filled the new one to the appropriate PSI and the other were low. The constant anxiety I've felt the past week still worrying about that tire while I'm driving definitely will keep me from ever coming back here. read more

I can't support this Discount Tire store any longer. My husband is a big supporter of them because they are (used to be) dependable, reliable and great customer service as well as keeping their appointments on time. Right now my husband is sitting in their waiting area waiting for them to look at a tire. He had a 3PM APPOINTMENT!!! He called me and told me that he was told that our vehicle won't even be looked at for 90 minutes. In essence him calling and setting up an appointment was worthless. He won't be seen until 430pm. Now, I'm a Goodyear kinda girl. Daddy never ran anything but Goodyears because of their reputation off as well as on the race track. I wasn't the happiest when I found out that he didn't go to Goodyear, but he said how great he was treated that we would support Discount. I won't any longer. Last time he was at Discount, he was on time for his appointment, but they weren't. Then they didn't have the tire we needed so in order to get our tire fixed, he had to go to another store OR wait for 3-4 hours for the tire to be delivered. He should have waited because the Discount Tire store made him wait for almost 3 hours. We had to pay for the gas too. No offer of apology or compensation was offered.
