You couldn't ask for a better group than John (manager) and Zack (Asst Manager) and all of their guys at Discount Tire MC. I had an unfixable flat during a week when I was particularly strapped because of having just spent 11k on replacing my furnace and water heater at home after they died in the same day, and particularly stressful because i was about to have surgery. I was kind of a stressed out asshole and they couldn't have been nicer or more understanding/tolerant of me. They made sure that my car was as safe as it could be while the new tire was being ordered, got me fixed up with the new tire in the most inexpensive but safe manner possible, and when I came to have it put on, the day after surgery, they made sure they got me in and our as quickly as possible so I could get back home to rest. I am incredibly grateful to them and cannot recommend this shop, highly enough! read more

Flat tire on the day after Christmas near New Buffalo, MI. Understandably, most of the small family owned tire / repair shops were closed or limited hours. Got a tow to Discount Tires. All the positives: - they found the problem (which was minor) and got us out in less than an hour - Jason helped us out, had outstanding customer service - location - convenient with lots of restaurants where you can wait while your car is being worked on - the interior, clean with free coffee Getting a flat tire stinks, especially when your car doesn't have a spare (and those tire mobility kits aren't guaranteed to safely get you very far) and especially stinks on the day after a holiday when places might not be open. We are traveling from Az, picked up a bolt in our tire. It was three in the afternoon-we went to the Ford dealership-and they couldn't fit us in to the next day.We drove to Discount tire-they got us in the same day and done and about an hour half! If you expect to get your tires checked and filled quickly, don't. They keep giving me a one minute signal over and over. But no one actually does anything. Even after checking in up front to see what I needed to do. It's bad enough that new tires are losing air. But refusing to do their job is ridiculous. read more

When I moved my relative from the hospital to the nursing home, my tire blew out. The friendly team at discount tire helped us get back on to the road as fast as possible. I knew it was a special place when I first went into the building as I could overhear people thanking the discount tire team and telling them to tell their parents that so and so said hello. Beware of their sales pitch. It was time to replace my two front tires. The back tires were still in fair shape and did not need replacing. The Tire Shop went into a whole pitch about uneven alignment with two new front tires and two older but perfectly good back tires. They pushed for me to buy 4 tires. It was all about safty and "I'm just obligated to tell you." So under their theory, you replace one tire, you should replace all your tires "for your own safty." B.S. I had to tell them three times I only wanted the 2 tires. The tire replacement was fine although they neglected to put an equal amount of air in all 4 tires. read more

I was treated very well at Discount Tire. I think it was the owner that took very good care of me and got the EXACT tires I wanted (I was very specific). He got the tires right away- and I was in and out of the place super fast. My only suggestion is I wish they did alignments. I had to take my car to another place to get an alignment. I'd like to recognize Morgan. Morgan politely greeted me as soon as I walked into the establishment. Rather than send me out to collect details about my vehicle, he happily suggested to go out and get all the required information. Explained the software being used to help determine the best tire for my needs and went to the back to bring out the tires to show me the physical difference and hardness of the suggested tires and their tread. I truly believe Morgan went above and beyond to help ensure I understood everything I needed to in order to make an educated decision on what best fits my needs. He deserves to be recognized for his kindness, professionalism, knowledge, and dependability. Morgan also gave me an expected time in which my 4 new tires would be installed and be ready for pick up. Approximately 35 minutes after I left, the car was ready, beating the expected time drastically. I highly recommend this location for tires, assistance, and the personalities of the staff. Total waste of time! I went there for valve stem replacement. The salesman danced around my vehicle like a drug sniffing dog. He asked for all of the vehicle information (make, model, year, mileage...) then asked for my info. He also said my valve stem was screaming at him. ?? It had a slow leak and would start to go flat after 3-4 days. After the interview he said all he could do is sell me a new tire. Seems like he could have said that right away and not make me sit there for a 10-15 minute interrogation. I went next door to Belle Tire and they fixed it for FREE in less time than the interrogation at Discount took. I will walk before I return to Discount tire. read more

I was driving to visit my parents with my two little girls, and when I was at least 60 miles away from anyone who could help me, my back tire started rapidly losing air. It was punctured by a large screw. I pulled over on the side of the highway a few times to use our portable air compressor to refill it, but it quickly became apparent that wasn't working. My car does not carry a spare. So basically, I was SOL. I googled the closest tire shop, which was this Discount Tire, and told them my situation. They absolutely could have hosed me -- I was desperate and had no options. They could have sold me a new set of tires and I would have said, do what you have to. Instead, they told me they could patch it -- for free. I respect any company that has the chance to make money but opts to help their customers instead. read more
