I was starting out on a 3+ hour road trip back home when I noticed a nail in my front tire and the pressure was low. At 4:30pm on a Saturday I was nervous about what could be done but I called Discount Tire and Jonathan reassured me over the phone that as long as I was in the door by 5pm they would help me out. During the tire inspection he also found another nail in a 2nd tire. Within 45 minutes they had both tires fixed and I was on the road home, no small feat as the store was busy when I arrived. I had an appointment where they had to order my tires, was instructed by staff to then wait until they called us to get them serviced, waited a couple of days. next thing I know I drop my car off, after they call us, at 10:45 am. I check on it throughout the day and was quoted in store that it would be done around 3:30. I come back to the store 3:45, they now claimed I was a walk-in, argued with us over the phone and in person. they have not even started my car, it wasn't in a bay until u made my presence known at the store HOURS LATER. now I have to wait even longer even though I was waiting all day! I used to absolutely love this place but must be new management or new workers because some staff was respectable while others were completely argumentative. We had a 5 star experience with Discount Tires! My husband had been looking for specific tires and wheels got his '95 Tbird and he was able to order them from Discount Tires. He had been searching for these for months. They ordered them and it look a week or so. We made an appointment for 8:15. We checked in and went to breakfast at Bloomin Cafe. Was in town for a college visit. The night before our car started shaking from what seemed to be a bad tire limped into hotel; upon inspecting it looked like a belt had broke in the tire. We were 5.5 hours from home. Was able to drive to store the next morning. Got there at eight o'clock in the morning when they opened. All I had was a tire losing air that needed repaired. 10 o'clock in the morning. My car was still sitting out there and had never been pulled in. So I asked for my keys back and I left. Wasted two hours of my life. Wouldn't have been an issue if they were up front about how long it would have taken. This was after my appointment the week before for a tire rotation. Got there for my nine fifteen appointment and did not get checked in until nine thirty. They didn't pull my car in until about 10:15. And finally got out there around 10:30. I came in with a bulge on one of my tires. I did not have an appointment but the team saw me quickly, despite being quite busy. The person helping me was efficient, polite, and went out of his way to make sure that I understood exactly what was going on through the process. They also helped me sign up for a coverage plan to save me money should my tires get another bulge (a definite possibility here). At the end of the day, I paid significantly less than my research online showed, and now I don't have to worry about this expense in the future. I felt listened to, my money and time were respected, and that their focus was getting me quality without ripping me off all by an extremely polite and helpful team. I stopped at this location today desperately needing help as I'm traveling from NC and my front passenger tire was leaking air. Kris helped get my car in quickly and they found a nail in my tire. They quickly repaired it and pulled my car out front free of charge! I know I needed new tires as my tread is getting low. They didn't pressure about buying new tires in this prime opportunity as any typical pushy salesmen would've. Yesterday, my wife discovered a slow leak in her front passenger tire; the pressure had dropped from 35psi to 25psi. After adding air to the tire this morning, I called Discount Tire, and Kyle (service tech) put me on the service list and asked me to be there in 30 min. Forty-five minutes later, I arrived to find I was next on the list. Erik (service tech) inspected the tire and the wheel. He couldn't find a leak and came to the lobby with the wheel in hand to explain why he thought the tire leaked air. His explanation was clear and plausible, and he never tried to sell me a wheel or new tire. He cleaned the wheel, reinstalled the tire, and I was back on the road in less than an hour! Outstanding service by both gentlemen! I've been a customer for years and will continue to buy from Discount Tire. Went in to have them check tire pressure. I was unable to add or remove air - something was broken. Jakob looked at the tire and replaced the broken piece in less than two minutes. Had my tire re-inflated and I was charged nothing. Excellent, speedy service. Wonderful worker. read more

Terrible. Pay monthly for roadside assistance. Maybe need emergency roadside assistance help every 5 to 7 years and have to wait ridiculously long hours. It's pathetic. Before then you got to speak to a robot instead of just getting a human ok the phone at a time like this. read more

I needed two tire replacements/ repairs over a relatively short period of time. One had a nail in a non repairable location, so it had to be replaced. The warranty (I must have purchased?) covered both occurrences. I think I have purchased 16 tires from them already over family vehicles and seeing their warranty in action and the service provided, I won't go anywhere else. Over the past 6 years of periodically living in Bloomington-Normal for school, I have grown to LOVE Discount Tire. Any time I've had low tires, it has been so convenient to pull up to their air check station, and everyone is always so friendly and makes my experience quick and easy. In the past couple days, I've noticed that I had a slow leak in one of my tires, so I've been in and out 3 times in the last two days talking to Kris P., one of their employees. He has been SO extremely helpful in letting me know what shape my tires are in. Rather than a slow leak, I actually needed two tires replaced, which I was thankful he let me know considering I'm driving out of town this weekend. Kris was willing to provide me with quotes for new tires and was super friendly when I mentioned checking other places for lower prices, and let me know about their price matching, which is AWESOME. After checking some other prices, I came back just an hour later, and Kris set me up with getting two new tires for a great price, even a little lower than multiple places I called in town. On the way out of Chicago I hit a huge pothole! Didn't realize the damage until I got to Bloomington IL. Luckily for me we ended up at this discount tire. From the beginning they were helpful on the phone telling us they didn't have our tire but had in stock a similar replacement. When we got to the store Zander went above and beyond getting us back on the road! Discount Tire in Normal IL is the best! Got a set of tires in December 2022 just before the Holidays. After experiencing some vibrations with those tires I brought it back a couple times to have it looked at. Customer Service is the specialty at this store. After 2 tries and still vibrating, the manager ordered a different set of tires altogether at no additional charge to me. These were installed incredibly quickly, absolutely zero vibrations at all. Very satisfied customer, I will not go anywhere else for tires. This store truly stands behind their products and makes things right in the rare event of an issue. I have worked with him several times in the past going back at least 10 years and I always get fast, friendly service here. I live about 50 miles away in a city with plenty of tire shops that have poor service and or like to overcharge when they can. One place here actually told me I had to buy nitrogen to fill the tires as they had no 'air' fill! Going forward this is my #1 choice in tire services regardless of the drive. read more

Only go if you have a LOT of time and dont even bother with their appointments. I ONLY could possibly drop off my car during work lunch, so I made an appt ahead of time to be safe. Arrived to them asking nothing about my appt, they had no idea why I was there and they didn't have any of the vehicle information I provided through their appointment process. Had to spend time providing it all again to get checked in and then told to sit in the parking lot and wait to get to pull in my car. 15 min after my appt and I'm sitting there with 2 people still ahead of me and zero information on how long for me to just drop off my car so I can go back to work. I had to cancel my spot in line to drive back to work before my lunch ended. An entire 45 minute lunch WASTED just to drive there and back and now I still have to find a place where i can just drop my car off to get my tire pressure sensor checked. read more

At 5:55pm we called Discount Tire that closed at 6pm and they not only had 2 tires that worked but were willing to stay as late as needed to get us helped. This place grabbed my attention with discount in the name. Affordability is a huge factor when I make a purchase. Some people would have you believe I'm just cheap. I like a great deal so sue me! The tires I ordered were affordable and decent quality. My worry was how they would do in winter weather. They stood the test. So skip the Wal-mart tire and lube in favor of this place. Do yourself a favor and make sure to make an appointment. I did see them taking a walk-in but that seems to be because the person had a flat. The employees were friendly and helpful.
