It helps me to regularly keep up with my vehicle maintenance. The only time my husband's car needed rebalancing after a service they were super responsive and helpful to fix it. Excellent,professional, personal service from everyone I spoke with when stopped to have my air checked. The young man found a nail in a tire. I had them check/remove it. Another three men were great at checking the car in, giving me a very reasonable price if the tire had to be replaced. Fortunately the nail hadn't punctured the tire. This is my second set of tires from this location. A few weeks ago I went to this location because I needed air in my tires. While the guy check my tire pressure he informed me that I would need new tires soon. Anyway I decided that I would go ahead and get them replaced so I set up an appointment. The guy over the phone told me the price. But when I went into the store there was a hundred dollar difference. So I told the guy who was helping that this is the amount that the guy I spoke to told me last night. He's gonna say on he didn't include the road hazard. So he took it off the screen, but even then it wasn't hundred dollars cheaper. So basically they got over on me. If I had've taken the time to do my research with other companies I probably would've went somewhere else. When I need a new set of tires I won't be getting them from Discount tires cause they have too much bs with them. If you can go somewhere else. My first set of tires I kept having issues with one tire they gave me the run around back and forth. And I had the tire warranty. So I don't understand why I had to keep going bs with them. Always a nail or a screw, always repaired free of charge quickly. Never attempted to be "upsold". Both of my vehicles became due for new tires. I bought two sets about 3 weeks apart. Tire discounters had the best price, offered to price match after my purchase if I found a better deal and always pleasant. Pretty easy experience! I set up an appointment and was able to get all brand new tires. I arrived a little late to my appointment and was quickly helped by the staff. Rudy discussed the tire options I had and showed me a comparison of the top two brands. He made the choice very easy and seamless. It took the staff some time to pull my car into the bay. I just regret taking six weeks to post this, but Discount Tire really came through. I pulled in at ten minutes to closing with a quickly deflating tire asking if they could do a quick patch job. After a review of the tire and the three others, Eric came by and explained that they would gladly do the patch or they would gladly replace all four tires as they would not pass the next month's inspection. The truth is, I knew they were right - those tires hadn't passed the "penny test" in months. So, he quoted me a price that was super-competitive for these high-end, brand name tires with installation. I bit. I watched the whole job from removal, to balancing, and re-mounting, it took 40 minutes. This was a TEAM - everyone had a job and they were (from my perspective) masters at it. I felt terrible keeping them passed close, but everyone I encountered was great. These folks go above and beyond and I particularly want to thank Eric S. for his attention, expertise, and awesome attitude even after-hours. My entire visit exceeded my expectations. I was apprehensive about going because for everything I needed I assumed it was out of the ordinary and was afraid I was going to be treated like a difficult customer, but I wasn't. I needed to buy tires and have them mounted to rims I had purchased elsewhere. They guys were great and went out of the way to unload and load it all in the back of my truck. They didn't question me when I asked them to use the sticker wheel weights instead of the clip on ones. Everything went very smooth for what I thought would be a difficult process. When he rang me up to pay he actually added a mail in rebate that I didn't know about saving me an extra $50.00. My last crazy request of them was to unmount and mount the tires on the truck I brought in. When I purchased the truck it came with the white lettering to the outside and for some reason it has driven me crazy for the last 6 months. The tires I was looking for were available the following day (I booked on Sunday evening), booked for 2pm Monday. I was called with a reminder by Sammie earlier that morning to confirm. I did not answer my phone, as I was at work at the time so she left a voicemail which I appreciated, but I'm all about the experience when I get to the store. So many places try to sway you into using the website or application but fail to deliver during the customer experience. Discount Tire is not one. I walked in, as was suggested during booking, 10 minutes prior 2pm, all the available technicians assisting customers were busy with existing customers at the time so I waited patiently in line behind another gentleman. As that customer's transaction was completed , Sammie, the same person that left me the voicemail earlier, greeted my promptly and apologized for the wait (all of two minutes in line). I told her who I was and that I had schedule the 2pm appointment, she asked for my ID to confirm and my key to my truck so that they could take over from there. She gave me the approximate wait time and offered me some water in the waiting area (which was appreciated due to the hot July weather in Richmond). I thanked her and proceeded to the refrigerator to grab a water bottle then take a seat. Before I even went to sit down I get a notification from the app stating the status of my service. Pretty awesome. I mean, I know it's a fairly simple thing to do but it's always nice to know you can follow the progress along without standing by the windows of a service station, peering out trying understand what's taking so long. Within minutes, a new notification came through that my truck was being pulled into a bar just as I saw my truck being pulled in from the corner of my eye through the window. I had a web conference scheduled for two that afternoon so I stayed on that call while they worked to replace the tires on my vehicle. Around the time we were wrapping up that discussion, and as I see my truck pulling out of the bay, a new notification stating service has been completed and that my vehicle was being brought out to me. All I needed to do was confirm with the gentleman who I was and I was off again. Again, it is my personal opinion that discount tire, as it goes for this location as I cannot speak for all locations, stands behind the commitment to fast service when booking in advance. We came in for a pinprick hole in the sidewall of our tire--they took their time trying to find the leak and in the end couldn't find it but when we got home I rechecked and it was there so we took it back to show them. They hooked us up with a new tire under our Subaru's warranty deal so we walked out with a warranty for all 4 tires and replacement tire after only $125 spent. This place is a perfect example of the service economy in 2021. Kids pretending to know a thing about cars is adorable and amusing to be honest. This is an Up-Sell Academy so be prepared for that. They'll tell you 20 minutes and you'll be sitting here an hour+ easy. Still, they do a decent job at the actual work and the pricing is ok. The after-sale support is where this chain shines. I recently had four tires (new) put on my car due to an accident by a body located within a.25 of this store! I was told (after the work was finished)the the tires the brand new tires ( at the cost of over $800) offered no warranty at all and in fact I couldn't even buy extended roadside service for these tires because the company didn't offer it! But I was assured that these were top quality tires ( Pieves sp?) and if I had any problems come back to them because their work was guaranteed! Fast forward less than a month the drivers tire front wall blew out after hitting a small pothole in a parking lot going approximately 10-15 miles an hour! When I returned to the body shop I was basically told too bad so sad you need to buy another tire! I called my insurance agent and after calming me down he directed me to this store to see what they could do! I had bought two tires from them back in December for inspection with extended warranty so I had dealt with them before! I did not expect much from them since this wasn't their sale! But surprise surprise the manager did some figuring and had me pay for extended warranty for all four tires and replaced the damaged tire for a total of $128! Turns out the tires are great tires & of course I got a dud and the tire company did offer warranties , the body shop didn't know what they were doing! Thank you guys for saving my butt, I have dealt with the body shop several times over the years without problem but I will not ever deal with them ever again and let's just say they will not like this incident's feedback because this was a complete disaster! This place is great! I'd never been to a Discount Tire store before, but I know I will go back to them again when I need tires. The manager (Matt) came out of their store/shop to greet me with a smile (I've NEVER had that happen at a tire place before). He asked what style of tread I was looking for (All-Weather for me) and thoroughly went over brands, features/specifications, and price ranges for the different tires...and no 'hard sell' (they sell a large number of different brands and have more in stock than most tire stores that are associated with a tire brand name. Also, Alec (assistant manager) was very helpful and pleasant in explaining the service of the free tire rotation and tire warrantee. Best of all, I was in and out in less than an hour (I've NEVER had that happen at a tire place before, either). Big time service with a smaller price tag! The service in this place was absolutely incredible. It was like five-star dining service....in a tire shop. The minute I pulled into the parking lot the mechanic was already coming out to greet me. He knew who I was simply from the make and model of the body style of my vehicle when I asked for the quote. So here is how good it was. I did not schedule an appointment, I just showed up. I was greeted at my vehicle, by the manager and the mechanics. I was leaving Discount Tire with new tires in 17 minutes after I arrived. Yes from start to finish, changing all four tires, paying for them, and leaving I was there an entire 17 minutes!! And oh yes I did six quotes from other places they were cheaper than everyone. On the way out the mechanic shook my hand and said "sorry it took so long"... Very Polite and eager to have your business! Needed tires the same day, called at 9:00am the had to order the ones I wanted from their local warehouse and they had them by 12:00. Went in after work to have installed. All the employees were polite and I felt like they really cared about my satisfaction as soon as I walked in. Got the paperwork out of the way, they gave me a bottle of water. The waiting seats are comfortable clean as well as the bathrooms. The store was real busy I waited the exact time they said it would take. They still took walk-ins until closing and was telling them they would stay until it was done for those customers. Most of these places stop taking people about an hour ahead of store closing, that impressed me. Again the staff was exceptional, I used to go to NTB/ Merchants but got fed up with there rude and dirty shops.
