Disappointed they have no one who can leave the premises or get someone to their disabled car. I ran a couple miles to get to them and it was cold and icy. AAA took 5 hours to finally get to the car for towing due to a flat tire and I has to run to and from the Discount TIre. I left the car eventually and got a ride home. Took my Nissan Pathfinder to have four tires put on and 15 minutes into the work I have a heater core hose broken. They said it happened when they drove it in but they had it jacked up on that side. My wife has a Lexus with factory chrome wheels, when DC balances and rotates the tires they remove the old wheel weights and leave the ugly tape and dirt attracting glue behind. Last time in they told me that they don't have the adhesive remover to get it off and that if I bring it in next time they would gladly remove it. Today I was in for another balance and rotation and brought the adhesive remover with me like they advised last time. They checked me in and I informed them of the wheel lock and adhesive remover was on the passenger seat and the employee said great for being prepared and shook my hand. I've used Discount Tire several times. First, be prepared for a wait. I've come in with a flat tire that needed patching and they are near my house. Took a little over an hour to work me in but tire was fixed, air topped off on all tires and it wasn't a crazy cost. Very reasonable. Second, yes they will try to sell you tires before you need them. Use some common sense and you'll be fine. Third, I have called them for tire pricing when I finally did need tires and the rep was patient and walked me through all of my cost options, the pros & cons of each brand. This rep was very knowledgeable of the different brands and was very helpful in me making my decision. They also came in about $250 less than my mechanic for a full set of tires after discounts. Finally, even though the employees there are for the most part polite & helpful, many of their customers are not. I had two different Teslas flat out almost hit me driving like idiots in the parking lot (on the same visit). I've also witnessed entitled attitudes in the waiting room. They also play the music too loud in the waiting room and if you are there for 1-3 hours, you will leave with a headache. read more

Fantastic experience! Stellar customer service! Shout out to Sean! Went in on Friday and they were busy so I scheduled for following morning. Was told 45 minutes to an hour to change two tires. Once I got the text that car was ready I found out that one of the tires was mislabeled so an employee had to travel 10 minutes to get the tire that was actually needed. Although I had to wait an additional hour for the mix up the customer service was wonderful and refreshing! Sean even threw in a new pair of wiper blades for the trouble! I purchased tires from discount tire a couple of years ago and was very impressed with the service I received. All of the technicians on the phone and in person are very polite and knowledgeable. I purchased the warranty that covers damage tires etc. Yesterday I called because there was a screw in my tire and was told to come right in. All services are handled in the the order received or if you have a scheduled appointment. All of the employees work well together and it's nice to see how this business has been so successful. I was just here this past Saturday (day before Christmas Eve). I had gotten 2 tires from here a few years ago, and had been coming here for the past few weeks to get air refilled in my other tires that needed to be replaced. Finally got them replaced on Saturday. About $250 for the 2 tires plus installation. I was quoted for an hour wait time, but was only there about 30mins. Everybody from beginning to end was very nice and knowledgeable. Each customer was greeted warmly and promptly upon arrival. I dealt with "Mo", he was great! For the holiday season, all the workers had on elf/reindeer hats. It was very cute and so pleasant to see. During my wait, a lady even stopped by and came in to let them know how nice seeing them in the festive hats was. Another customer made it a point to come in and let the manager know about the excellent service he had just received from one of the staff. Thanks to word of mouth, I decided to give Discount Tire a try. Yes, the hype is real. The technicians/mechanics are nice. No appointment is necessary but you can schedule an appointment if you like. I called beforehand and there was a long hold before someone picked up the phone. Once someone answered, I was immediately taken care of and all of my questions answered. When I came in, I was greeted by the same young man, Reggie, that I spoke with on the phone. Thanks to good ole VDOT and their workers leaving nails etc on the roadway, it landed me here to get my tire checked. Thankfully, my tire could be plugged. What's even better is it isn't going to cost me a dime. No, I didn't purchase my tires here, but I will purchase tires here in the future when mine need to be replaced. I will carry on and spread the word about how great they are here. They're conveniently located off of I-295, I-64, or Parham Road depending upon which way you come. They're tucked away in the corner near Aldi, Target, etc. in the shopping plaza. The Kroger shopping plaza is on the opposite side of the street. The lobby area is spread out and has ample seating and is very clean. If you need new tires or a tire repaired, stop by Discount Tire. Feel free to call them or check out their website, www.discounttire.com. I gave this establishment 4 stars rather than 5 stars because I was told I didn't need an appointment, but if you don't have an appointment, you get worked in when they can get you. Neighbor recommended DISCOUNT Tire. One of my tires had a slow leak and I thought there was one on the other side too. Made a reservation online. Arrived about 5 minutes before my appointed time- there were 4 people in front of me. Thought I was going to be ignored but a nice gentleman checked me in and told me I was in the queue. Didn't know how long that would be but he assured me it would be quick. They have free bottled water for you while you wait. About 15 min later another nice gentleman told me they had checked both tires and indeed found a small nail in one but nothing wrong with the other one. He did upsell me on windshield wipers but I needed them desperately so I bought them. They plugged the hole for FREE and only charged me for the windshield wipers. All the employees were professional and took great care of me. I will be back for all my tire needs!! Can't recommend enough. read more

I called the day before and spoke to someone who scheduled me to come in the next day. I dropped my car off in the morning, and worked with Ryan. He was very friendly and informative. They found me a tire that was similar to the ones I had on the other 3 wheels, and it was changed in no time. On top of service and quality, the price was very pleasing! I was frustrated by my experience at Discount Tire yesterday. To their credit, the staff was courteous, professional, and efficient. But they left my new tires significantly under inflated, and by the time I noticed, I had to rush back to work (Zoom calls, of course). Obviously not the worst thing in the world, but it was not very safe due to heavy rain. I also had to wait forever at several gas stations to top off my tires -- I guess everyone needs to do that since the temperature dropped recently. What really gets to me is that I spent over $800 with them and they failed to do a very basic yet important task. That's more than my 401k contribution this month. The online scheduling is incredible for those of us who decide at 10 pm we must get tires rotated before daughter goes back to school in 3 days. I was able to book it for the exact time I needed the next day. I got a reminder of the appointment in the morning. When I arrive, I'm met at the door by a smiling service person who acknowledges my appointment and gets me in and out of the door quickly. I didn't purchase these tires at discount tire as they were original to the car, however, NO charge for the tire rotation!! We showed up at 8:10am on a Saturday morning, due to Covid they have curbside checkin which is nice. We were walked inside when it was our turn and shown some tire prices in case our tire couldn't be repaired. We were told it would be a few hours and they would call us if we wanted to leave. We walked to Target and when we came back our spare was on the car. The salesman said someone tried to call us, we looked at our phones and knowone had called. Well we were told we needed a new tire. We said that's fine, can we take the car home and pickup our other car and drop ours off? The answer was yes but what they didn't tell us was were treated like a new customer and we found that out when we kept calling checking on the vehicle and it wasn't seen yet! Wow! And on top of it, you have to leave your key on the front seat in the parking lot unattended. Our car sat there from 10am to 4:15pm for 1 tire. So today a week later we pop the trunk and they didn't even put our spare back in the well correctly! The board is floating in the trunk!
