I purchased some tires for my fusion and scheduled the appointment 5 days later. When I arrived, unfortunately my tires were not in stock. They offered to reschedule but I was set to leave for a road trip and needed new tires. Jennifer R was able to find what she had in stock, a similar to better quality set and price match them for me. They got my tires replaced and me out of their within an hour. Jennifer was super nice and I'll be sure to use them for all my 3 cars. Just a FYI the 2 times I went there, they were very busy and you might have to wait in line 10 or so minutes. Just have some patience. They will take care of you!! And do it right. read more

What is the point of an appointment, will someone tell me that!?!? I had an 8am appt, first when they open but rather than ask anyone, they start by whoever is standing at the door first. Oh by the way, they have a mobile check in set up by signs and directionals but the a$$hat that hopped the curb in his minivan to get past us and park got service first. I went in on a Monday for 2 new tires. They replaced the tires and i was on my way. Saturday of that week, i wanted to replace my brake pads, I was able to do one side but not the passenger side. Discount tire had cross-threaded the lug stud and no matter what i did, it would not come off. I went to the store for some help. They used an impact drill to take it off, but it ended up rounding the lug stud. Now its not ever coming off. What if i had got a flat in the middle of the desert? How would i have changed my tire? They were fast, efficient, and courteous. This is a great service when you are doing errands and just want to make sure of the tire pressure. Also they checked the tires for problems. If I had a problem with a tire, they gave me a new one with my guarantee or fixed it without any problems. I have bought my new tires here at this location for years and always had the greatest professional care. They have a nice waiting room with cold bottles of water. That is a plus also. I can't say enough about this company and their expertise. I sold my car as I am not driving any longer and if I ever bought another one, this is the one place I would always come back to for service. Probably won't ever come back to this location even though it's more convenient. Nothing but problems the 3 times I've been here. I've always gotten tires from discount for all my vehicles but at a different location. This one I've gone in for rotate and balance a couple times. First time they lose a few of my caps that cover my lugs, second time tire light comes on and won't come off. Went back 2 more times to get it checked, they air up my tires and tell me to drive on it, finally went to VW to see what's up find out that they either broke my sensor during the rotate and balance or their reader fried my TPMS sensor and won't re-sync to my car. So here I am back the last time to get a new TPMS sensor paying for it myself. Came in during the morning without an appointment, told to come back for a 1:15 appointment, then when I got here at 12:45 (to be early) they said it was a 1:30 appointment... it's now 1:50 and my car JUST pulled in. In the 10+ years I've been buying tires at discount I've never been dicked around as much. AND they don't even have water to offer now. read more

Needed emergency tire replacement. Called and John said he would order the tires for my car as they only had tires for the front required for my Tesla Model X.. I had a very disappointing visit at this location on many levels. I called the DiscountTire location on 97th Ave and Happy Valley, which I normally go to and received a quote on 4 new tires. I then called this location on 23rd Ave and Happy Valley and received a quote which came back $8 more. Because of the convenience of this location and being able to get tires put on during normal business hours, I decided to have the 23rd Ave location order my tires. I spoke with Bryce and he took care of my order. I received a call the next week that my tires were in. It was busy at work and I called the store to try and pay in advance for my tires so I could have one of my employees take my car down for the tire install. During my call with Brad, who is the store manager, he tells me the what the total price is when he is about to run my credit card, which is a significantly different price than what Bryce quoted me. After I inform him of the exact price I was quoted from Bryce and it should already be in the system by my phone number including (tires, fees, mounting, warranty etc), since I wrote everything down, he proceeds to tell me that he couldn't of quoted that amount but would check with him. Being defensive without even researching anything wasn't a good start. After Brad said he spoke to Bryce he proceeds to tell me that nothing was put into the system and he couldn't sell me the tires with warranties for the price quoted but would give me prorated warranties instead. I told Brad that wasn't acceptable and I wanted what I was quoted. For an amount that was extremely minimal in price difference, Brad was absolutely horrible with how he handled the entire situation and wouldn't help me out. I found it extremely bizarre and simply called back the other Discount location on 97th Ave who had no issues processing the entire transaction as originally discussed in my quote from them. The only downside is I would now have to wait 2 more days to have the tires transferred to the 97th Ave location. I now went and physically picked the tires up myself and will be bringing them to the 97th Ave store. I was extremely pleased with how the 97th Ave store handled the situation and made the change purely for the principal of how poorly Brad handled the entire transaction and is really the only reason for this bad review. This unfortunate poor display of customer service from the manager Brad had me make a call to another small business owner friend in the area who currently purchases tires for his entire fleet of truck from this DiscountTire. He also shared a recent experience less than 2 weeks ago at this location and agreed to cease business here. The unfortunate thing is this location has a couple good employees that I recognize from prior business at another DiscountTire location. Regardless I know the negative impact having poor management can have on a business and hope this location makes changes for the better with its leadership to help this location of DiscountTire's success in the future. I highly recommend the DiscountTire on 97th Ave and Happy Valley. I have since decided to reach out to the elderly lady from the 1980's TV commercials to have her assist me with further issues at this DiscountTire as I'm a big fan of her return policy. read more

I stopped in to get my air check and the Manager noticed my tires even though they had some good tread we're old tires. With this car on a dolly being towed behind a u haul headed out for a 1200 mile move he recommended new tires. I purchased four new tires based on his recommendation which would save me a severe headache if we had problems on the road. Thanks for looking out for our safety! I've use discount tire company for the last 40 years and just loved it never about experience. Yesterday I worked a deal on the phone for tires and had them installed. When I get there to pay and pick up the car they add on a $150 for the tire warranty which was Of these included in the price I had already negotiated. I told them to take their tires off my car and I'm going back to Costco. After dancing around for 10 minutes they decided to honor the original price but I'm so disgusted with this crew that I certainly will never go back to this store again read more

I am speechless today I was driving on freeway to get kids to school and someone stopped me said I had a flat tire they followed me to the gas station but I didn't I have the crowbar thing to put the spare on so I put some air in it and didn't think much of it I went to go on my lunch break and someone else stops me and now my tire is completely flat again so I drove to discount was hoping I would just be able to get it patched unfortunately I couldn't I asked them to just put the spare on he told me that he could do it for about 20 bucks I let them know I don't have 20 bucks (I work three jobs all minimum wage while my husband is in college full time and watching our two kids while I work one check came in and is already gone to bills the other check when I get it today will all go to bills the third check will be gas and food money until next week) I started crying and asked again if he could just the spare on he said don't worry about and gave me the tire for free. The mans name was Omar and him helping me today has reminded me that good people are still around he didn't have to do that he didn't have to do anything but he did I am so incredibly grateful my second and third jobs are me driving so I would of been out of work or taking the chance just airing my tire up everyday and hoping it doesn't blow out with my kids in the car. I wanted to send this review since this location of Discount Tire is fantastic! I called and made an appt, which I HIGHLY encourage, because my tire light came on. I went over there last week when it first came on and drove through their convenient " we fill and check the air in your tires for free" line and was on my way in minutes. Hoping it was just a temperature change in my tires, this wasn't the case and it came back on. So I arrived for my appt, they took my car within minutes and quickly found the issue and repaired my tire FOR FREE!!! Here's the part that impressed me the most..... I didn't buy any of my tires from them!! They impressed me so much that when I have to replace any of my tires going forward, you can bet I will be buying them from this Discount Tire. I had a slow leak in my front driver side tire and I was preparing for a drive to California so I went to this discount tire to get the hole patched and plugged on my lunch break and they handled it quick and I was very relieved. During my drive to California all of a sudden my dash shows me that I have a flat on my front driver side tire. So I pulled over and my tire was fine so I realized just the air pressure sensor went bad. So after I get back from my trip, I brought it back to discount tire to fix my broken sensor and they took my tire off and said they left the nut on the sensor loose and it was fixed now. I drove back to work and the air pressure sensor is still broken. I called and talked with Omar again and he said it would reset after 20 miles and now its about 500 miles later and its still broken. I wont take it back to them a third time because they wasted my time and I feel like I was played. They couldn't even handle a sensor that they broke so I'll take it somewhere where they can actually do the job. read more

Last week I was driving to work an I noticed I was down to 22 PSI in my tire. I thought nothing of it and will fill it when I arrived at work with my portable tire pump. I was on the 101 going 70MPH and felt my back left tire start to sway and it did not feel right. I clicked onto the tire PSI and saw I was down to 2 PSI. I quickly got over and exited the freeway to luckily get to work and parked the car in the parking lot. I got out and yup it was 100% flat. I called AAA and they came to put the doughnut tire on. I called this location and explained the situation and they first of all asked if I was ok from the flat and then told me to bring the car in to look at. I have the replacement warranty on all of the tires so I wanted to make sure to get it over to Discount Tire right away. I brought it in at about 5:30pm and Brad the Store Manager assisted my wife and I with examining the tire and confirming it is done for. He checked and ordered the tire for me so it would arrive the next day. Since I was leaving my car overnight, he said he would pull the car into the garage so it was not sitting out at night in the parking lot for security which I thought was a great offer. The next day by 11am I received a call saying the car was done. I walked in, bought the new warranty on this tire and I was off and running.
