I can't speak highly enough of the service received from Geraldo. After getting a screw in one of my tires that wasn't more than 24 hours old he took care of me right away. I had a brand new set of tires on my car and unfortunately did not purchase them from Discount. Not only did he do everything to get me back on the road quickly, I observed dozens of people coming in and out and the phone ringing off the hook on a Friday night. Walk-ins, appointments, and even a few angry walk-ins with unreasonable expectations (they thought their flat tire was more important than the others that have been waiting already). He remained cool, patient and never stopped moving (as well as everyone else in a Discount Tire shirt). In a world consumed by impatient consumers he handled it like a pro. Let me start by saying I'm a loyal diehard Costco customer. I've only ever been to Costco for tires (and everything else) even though discount tire has been named dropped many times in my circle of family and friends. Let me remind you, as if you don't already know...Costco you have to wait on line for atleast half an hour even with an appointment. Today I waited that minimum amount of half an hour, because I had a nail in my tire that was damaging the steel plate. So it needed to be changed immediately. When it's finally my turn on the dreaded but worth it Costco line (spoiler it's Not) I have a Jesus moment. Sorry Costco can't help you we now only take tire change by appointment only. Well that doesn't help this damsel in distress, does it? I have a road hazard stuck in my tires which still have 50k miles on the btw! I drive to the nearest tire place - evans tires - they say it's too late (its 4:15 and all places close at 6 ofcourse, Costco closes at 8 btw) can you come back tomorrow morning - uh no because how am I suppose to get home on this dangerous tire?!? My brother only just happened in to mentioned his great experience with discount tire all the way over in charlotte nc and I the "loyal Costco customer" immediately shut him down and said Costco is the best. So I took that earlier conversation with my brother and called the nearby discount tire and they too initially wanted me to come in tomorrow morning - because who doesn't want to go home on time today?? But when I explained it's not my car my husband is camping and I don't even REALLY know how to fill up a tire, and also I'm planning on driving this car 30 miles tomorrow to my 9am appt in the current condition ...they said ok we will squeeze you in. I told them I would be there in 10 minutes but I got here in 16. They took my car in right away and said I should be done in 20 minutes. That's LESS TIME it takes to wait in line at costco WITH an appointment. I have to mention Dustin by name because he has the team ready to get my car on the lift and tires installed. I have to thank costco for rejecting me in my time of need because I was able to engage with discount tire and will be their newest customer for life!! read more

They didn't mount my tire properly or something causing it to destroy my wheel hub and they came back to me and said only 3 bolts were securely on the wheel. They sent me to the mechanic shop down the street and I was left without my car. read more

After a coworker helped me in getting air in the tire, I went straight to this location. In and out in 30 minutes! And they were busy-All their bays were filled. was very professional & courteous. I asked if they did brake service- they didn't. But they had recommendations for nearby businesses that they vouch for. I'll definitely return next time I need tire replacement. read more

I was stunned when 5 days after purchasing new tires from Poway Discount Tire I found out that the tires were manufactured 3 years ago! The recommendation is that new tires should be manufactured within a year when you buy them, or 18 months max. It's unacceptable when you pay for new tires and they're already 3 years old and losing pressure faster than normal. read more

This is the best Discount Tire store. Blake Hobson was very courteous and understanding of my situation. He was very concerned for my safety being out on the road. My front tires were very bad and one had a nail in it. They could not repair the one with the nail so Blake gave me two used tires at no charge and put my rear ones that were still in pretty good shape on the front. I was very thankful for his understanding of my situation and his concern for my safety. As I sat there and waited for my car I notice that everyone that walked through the door was greeted kindly. Ever since Dorman's and Winston tire closed in Poway, I have been going to Discount Tire to purchase tires for all my vehicles. These people are top notch, and work at a rapid professional pace. Every 6 months to a year, the people and managers seem to rotate to different facilities, however every one there from the managers on down take care of your vehicles needs. It would be great if they had a alignment rack, however there are other places in Poway to have that done. read more

How cool is Discount? Lemme tell ya! So I roll in without an appointment a couple weeks back to get a nail removed from my tire thinking I was gonna have to pay for either a new tire or at least a patch job. Turns out that that these kinda fixes when you're a customer cost you nothin. NADA. ZERO. They patched up my tire and checked the pressure on all 4. I was out in 30 mins without having to pay anything. Man i at least wanted to tip somebody for the staff being so cool. No coast for labor even. Is this real? I hope it lasts! I have bought my tires from Discount Tires for several years. I got two tires that wore out prematurely. The wore out in 10,000 miles which is rediculous for a tire. I went back and the replaced them but the cost was prorated for the use that I did get from the tires which seems fair. I have never had my tires rotated there which I probable should but I am just to busy. read more

5 Stars! I went on a Saturday morning knowing that most tire centers will be busy and maybe expect an hr. wait on average. I was surprised how the service was fast on a busy saturday and I was already sold with their sign outside that says 'We beat Costco prices'. I highly recommend any discount tire location. I always buy my tires here because I thought they were supposed to be convenient. Well I'm reconsidering that. Bought tires last week and as soon as I get on the freeway they are out of balance. Finally after a week I have time to bring it in to get checked out. 2 HOUR WAIT! I didn't mess up the balance they did. Shouldn't you prioritize me in line to fix YOUR mistake. Guess I'll be driving my shaky car for another week since I can't wait 2 hours for a 10 min balance.
