Do NOT go to this location. I've been to numerous Discount Tire locations and have always purchased my tires + install through them across multiple states for over the past decade. This one is by far the worst one. This location has been the only one that left off a locking lug nut on my vehicle. They didn't put on a regular lug nut, oh no, it was just empty. Josh had me email them a photo of one of the locking lug nuts from a different wheel. I did that and almost two weeks later, they called saying it's in. Drove up there and lo and behold, it's the INVERSE of the locking nut. They ordered it again, another two weeks later they tell us to come back and this time they ordered the KEY. How stupid can you possibly be. By this point, we'd wasted multiple trips out there in gas money and time off work on something that wasn't our fault to begin with. One of the managers, Blake, begrudgingly agreed to refund $35 for gas the next time we come in. Another two weeks goes by and Blake calls to tell me the correct part is finally in. We go up there and it shockingly is correct this time. When we brought up the $35 refund that Blake agreed to, we were asked if we had it in writing and they made it seem like we were trying to scam them. Initially they refused since Blake wasn't there and kept saying the manager on site couldn't do it. They finally agreed to give it to us in cash. Bloody ridiculous. It's amazing to see such a negative change in experience and service in a year since my last review. I had the absolute worst experience at Discount Tire. I went in for a simple tire patch, was quoted a 2-hour wait, and ended up wasting over 2.5 hours of my time. After finally taking my truck back, they quickly informed me they couldn't patch the tire due to an incorrect payload rating and immediately offered to sell me new tires. I was understandably frustrated and expressed my disappointment with their terrible customer service. They couldn't have cared less about the inconvenience they caused. I love this place! We always get our tires here for all of our cars. Last time I bought all 4 new tires for my van and it was a decent price. Customer service is always on point. I came same day/no appointment because my tire got some metal in it and it was deflating. Not only they fixed it that day it was free of charge! I like the one in the colony off 380. Nice, spacious and pretty new. The most I had to wait is 90mins without an appointment. Not bad especially when the place is packed. They seem to know what they are doing there and they seem to be fair and not pushy when you decide not to buy top of the line prices tires. I definitely recommend them 100%. read more

We balance and rotate our tires every 5000-6000 miles on all cars. Like clockwork. They turned him away, telling him his tires were bald. Unfortunately Discount Tire Prosper has lost our business, as their workman are either not skilled enough to repair a basic slow puncture, too lazy or they are simply more interested in trying to make a quick buck and up sell us to buy a whole new tire?! We have visited this location more than once for a tire repair due to a slow puncture. (Common with all the road works happening in the area) They have informed us the tire has been unsalvageable each time and we needed to buy a new tire costing around $400. Each time we have left and managed to patch/fix the tire elsewhere. Great place to take your car for a free tire rotation. I made an appointment online and was in and out in 15mins. If you have a Tesla, they use pucks to lift it. The only negative was that they inflated my tires incorrectly. The 2 on the left were set to 45 and the 2 on the right were set to 42 (correct). Whoever filled the left side must've thought my car was a different model, although the screen and door panel tells them what the PSI should be. I ended up going to another Discount Tire to let some air out (I drove around for a bit to make sure it was truly the tire's pressure and not a computer error). Poor experience again... My family has used this Discount Tire for eight years. When my husband comes for tire rotation, he gets excellent service. When I bring my car, I get treated poorly. Pedro has helped me a few times and he tells me that I don't need to rotate my tires but he would be happy to balance them. Keep in mind that my car is new and only has 7,000 miles on it. I totally understand what off-set tires mean, but based on my husband's guidance came to move the tires side-to-side. I'm just trying to balance the wear. Then Pedro tells me that I will need to wait 2-hours to get tires moved. But it is Wednesday and the lobby is almost empty with very few people coming in or waiting. Discount tires was busy when I came in this past Thursday. This past week my low pressure light has been on and I ignored it as long as I could before finally taking it into Discount tire off of 380. Cedric assisted me and told me my air was low in one of my rear tires. They had no openings that day but had a few for the Friday the next day. I scheduled an appt and he filled my tire with air to get me through the rest of the evening. On Friday I showed up on time and Cedric was there again to check me in. Within an hour, I came back and they handed me the keys. I said something like "how much do i owe you?" and they told me, "we patched you up, it's free. You just had a nail in the tire." I was so happy!! Thank yo us much to Cedric and the entire team for being honest, trustworthy, and for helping me out. They will get my business from here on out whenever I need my tires looked at! This is like 2 reviews in 1. My ex also took his car here about a month ago because he has a 4 inch gash in one tire. He showed up a few minutes after they closed but they opened up a bay and worked on his vehicles AFTER HOURS. Not only that, but they charged him a very reasonable rate for the tire replacement. Came in to order a new set of tires on a Friday. Was told I would be given a call on Monday when they arrived to set an appointment. They never called so I followed up on Wednesday only to find out the tires had actually arrived the Friday I originally went in. So set an appointment for the following Saturday and was told process should take no more than 30 minutes. Arrived following Saturday and got my vehicle in right away. Around 40 minutes later, saw them pull my vehicle out of the bay and so I approached the counter thinking it was ready and was told they're still working on it. An hour goes by, still no update. TWO hours goes by and I approached the counter and they advised me it was done the first time I noticed them pull it out of the bay. I've been going to the Discount Tire in Prosper, TX @ 380 and Coit for years. I've always had a great experience. Customer Service has always been top notch. This location gets very busy, so I make it a point to get there before opening, so as to be one of the first. Get in, get out. With that said, my experience this morning was even better. We had a cold front and the temps were in the high 20's. There were a number of folks standing outside waiting for them to open, with another 20 minutes to go. Michael S. came out around 7:40, and opened the store early, to get everyone inside to warm up. These guys are already headed into a long day of working in the cold, and opened early to get us warm. Wish we could give zero stars. Since you can't rate just the company, this store is getting my review because it's a company problem. Purchased my tires online, originally it said they will be in 1-5 days. Not bad until I got the receipt that stated 6-12 days- after they got my money of course. Usually I purchase from NTB, but in this case I wanted a very specific tire and they didn't have it. The issue is that my appointment was made for me and the assumption is that the tires would be there. So I adjusted my schedule and planned accordingly. I arrive, no tires and they were on the FedEx truck somewhere. Don't make me an appointment without having the materials. That is service 101.
