I have been getting my car serviced here for a few years and every time has efficient and respectful when I decline the upsale of air filters. I change my own air filters, both cabin filter and engine air filter. So after I was there last week and they showed me the dirty air filter, I stopped by an auto parts store and picked up both. Today, when changing the cabin filter I notice that 2 of the screws that hold down the box the encases the air filter are missing. This detail is minor, yet disappointing to me. Also, the reminder tag in the top left corner of the window.......when the old one was removed, also the reminder for a tire rotation was removed. The tire rotation sticker not only had the mileage for needed service, but also the address to create the appointment. This is a service that I get done at Costco where I bought the tires, as it is a free service. Again, a minor detail....but important to me. I understand it might have been stuck to the reminder they removed. As a courtesy, I should have been handed that sticker and given an apology or at the least, leave the sticker in my car. Fortunately for me, I know the mileage to have the rotation completed and I am confident I can easily locate the website. Oil change was fine, they were fast and a coupon was honored. Couldn't have been worse! Brought car in for an oil change and inspection. Got it back with a check engine light and multiple error codes. I opened the hood to check the oil and the engine cover was just sitting there sideways. I immediately went back in and notified the front desk, they had a mechanic look at the codes. Mechanic thought it was the battery or alternator but checked both and were fine. He then tried to reset the error so I could drive it and see if it went away. So I drove it home and it immediately came back. I returned the next day to have it looked at and they took 4 hours to call and tell me it has multiple errors and they suggested I take it to another shop to be fixed and assured me they didn't do anything wrong. I took it to a new shop and they found the issue instantly. When they replaced the oil filter they stripped a wire harness and shorted the electrical system. Have video and pics of the damage. $600 later everything works fine again. I don't ever plan on taking my car here again if they don't make this right. read more

Installed a new oil pan and gasket and that was not the gasket that was leaking. My van is now leaking oil on my driveway and it wasn't prior to the work they performed. When I went by to complain the mechanic took a photo & showed me a photo of a gasket that was leaking oil that was not covered by the new oil pan. $900 - They told me I needed to talk to the district manager at their location in The Colony. No district manager there. The management company is located in Plano. So far, no one has contacted me for a resolution. read more

Avoid the Kwik Kar at PROSPER -- they put my safety at risk. *    I paid for a radiator hose repair, but they gave me back the car without testing it. Within an hour, it broke down in the middle of the road with an even worse coolant leak. *    The next day, after keeping my car all day, they admitted the radiator was still leaking and blamed me for not letting them do a "triage" (which they never mentioned before). *    When I asked for the manager's contact, Qwan and Jose said complaints wouldn't matter, refused to share details, and threatened to call the police. They only gave me the number when cops arrived. This was unprofessional, disrespectful, and dangerous. I have been to this location several times due to convenience. I've had minor inconveniences like arranging my day to go there then 2 times the guy to rotate tires was gone then another time there was nobody there for a state inspection. Ok I'll look past it....for the location convenience. But I've officially given up and won't return. On 5/30 we took my car in for an oil change & tire rotation. -Maintenance light wasn't reset. -Grease was left on the leather of my armrest, seat & the carpet in the floorboard. -$20 coupon not applied and not adjusted upon confirming. My mom had the $20 off coupon on her phone from the email blast (she was picking up for me) and there were also signs in the lobby. Checked out and paid but having no idea what the services cost my mom then verified that the $20 off coupon was applied. The clerk rolled her eyes and said no, that she didn't know what she was talking about. My mom asked if she could please reverse the transaction or credit & recharge. She said, the system doesn't do that. My mom asked for a manager for assistance. She talked with a man in the garage that was equally annoyed and said to come back the next day for a manager. The next day she returned and spoke with Kevin and he said the manager is on vacation, Shawn will be back 6/4 and can fix it. So on 6/5 I went by to speak with Shawn and he said he can't do anything about it, but then said he will give me the $20 cash. I said ok great. He went into the garage and called the owner, Eldrick, whom said he can't give me cash but that Eldrick himself will credit my credit card. Shawn asked for my receipt to send Eldrick a photo of it. I had it, he sent the picture and said it would be done that day. As he walked away Shawn threw his hands up to his head and let out a yell in frustration. We were kind & patiently went back several times. So unprofessional on all accounts. That was 6/5 at 10:50am. It's now 6/15 with no credit. read more

The guy walked out and rudely said to leave because the state inspector was not there and asked why didn't we read the sign at the door? We didn't get out of our car yet to even see the sign. Third time we have had horrible service here. They broke my husbands bronco hood and took no accountability. We took our car in for an inspection and after wasting our time they inform us the machine is down. The biggest problem is they still charged us for the inspection even though they couldn't complete it. The guy couldn't care less about our frustration. The "Kwik" should be removed from this businesses name. I came in for an inspection, was told there were three people in front of me and only one inspector, but it would take an hour and a half. Those were some dang long inspections I thought to myself, but heck, I brought my lunch! After 35 minutes not a single person in front of me had moved. Another woman who had been checked out had been waiting 20 minutes for her car to be brought out. Four guys were tucking it up in the service bays, vaping, and having some great chuckles. Stopped in for a quick state inspection at 3:30, I'm only person. tech pulls my diesel truck in, then a taller bearded guy walks in from back, and they both do lights, signal checks,,,bearded guy starts eating his food and chatting,, 3:50 - hey guys what's the delay? Absolutely the worst quality of service I have ever experience. Dropped off my vehicle for repairs and was advised that it would be completed within a couple of hours. A short time later I received a callback that advised that it would take 2-3 hours longer than expected but guaranteed that my vehicle would be done that day. As closing time approached I called the store (9 times before getting someone to answer) and they advised that they would need to keep my vehicle overnight. Called the store the following morning/afternoon for an update. At this point have called 40+ times and still no answer. No update on my vehicle, no information as to when it will be completed. CONSUMER BEWARE $2600 was taken from my bank account for repairs that were not done. Kwik Kar towed one of my vehicles to another dealer agreed to have it repaired and diagnosed upon dropping vehicle off Kwik Kar has refused to pay for said repairs and more damage due to problems not fixed. Kwik Kar has refused to speak with me further concerning my vehicles as well as refusing to refund my $2600 to have my vehicles repaired elsewhere. The new District Manager Eldrick Flowers has refused to work with me after advising previously he would help. This is not right. You can't steal my money from my bank account and not provide a service. Why were my funds taken and not returned? The public should know what's going on this has gone on for months. This place is an absolute joke. A bunch of incompetent kids running the place. Dropped my car off at 11:30 am for an oil change. I was told it would be 45 minutes. They called an hour later to tell me they were backed up and couldn't do it until tomorrow, and to come pick my car up. I went to pick it up and the car was actually being serviced and I was told it would be done in 20 minutes. I've now been waiting 2 hours for my car. My car wasn't given back to me until 4:00 pm. They had my car from 11:30 am to 4:00 pm for an oil change. I've also come here several times only to find out their 'system is down', whatever that means. Never again. read more

Went in for a state inspection. Told me my vehicle failed because wiper blades were torn. I watched them tell two more customers getting state inspections the same thing. They position it has standard wiper blade replacement will be $15.99 or premium for $25.99. I looked online and blades were sold in a pack of two. Little did I know Kwik Kar sells them individually so $25.99 per blade. In my opinion this is their way of making money on the state inspection and is a misleading way to pitch the blades. I would avoid this location and go to Valvoline on 380. read more

People don't know how to change brakes. They said they were replace pads rotors and sensors with oem parts. After a week, my brake light came on again. Took it back and they couldn't figure it out, so I took it to dealership. Dealership said the pads and rotors were not oem parts and the sensors were not replaced. Liars. There is no communication in the shop, I wrote a big paragraph of what was wrong and ended up with a random $400 part that did nothing to help, the battery they installed is having problems, what can they do??? When asked why it was installed he couldn't tell you, then I pressed him on it and he said I could go somewhere else. When I asked for a refund, they said no. This place is run by a liar and a cheat, and when called out will double down and send you off worse off than when you went there. Stay away. I plan to dispute the charge, write a letter to the attorney general, the BBB, and put flyers all around the neighborhood telling my story. Went in for a routine oil change , only took 10 minutes. It usually takes me 10 minutes to find the oil filter, oil, newspapers and correct socket. Another 10 minutes to loosen the nut, another 10 to loosen the filter, another 5 minutes to pour the oil, another 10 minutes to wipe up the oil off the driveway. These guys are good. read more
