Never go to this Discount Tire. This Discount Tire almost cost my girlfriend and me our lives. I came here for what was supposed to be a free service: to get my tires rotated and balanced. 500 miles later my front right wheel almost flew off while driving. Ended up costing me 270 dollars for new lug nuts and a new wheel hub assembly. Not to mention the damage done to my wheels. The employees did not use a torque wrench. All of my wheel studs were ripped clean off, except for one. Only 2 lug nuts remained on my vehicle and one was still attached to the wheel stud despite it being ripped clean off. Sounds like a textbook OVER TIGHTENING to me. Luckily I realized that something was wrong and pulled over moments before my wheel could've flown off. My vehicle was stranded in the desert out by Bottomless Lake. I will be in the store on Monday seeking compensation. read more

But mine was I had no choice, got towed there and a young gentleman named Isaac helped me beyond what i figure one should! H was extremely courteous helpful and genuinely caring to my issues at hand. Like I said he went above and beyond.... I even went to inform the manger how helpful with my surprise even management was extremely courteous!!! I had a terrible experience (the last of several unpleasant encounters) with Honda in Roswell. In the most recent, I purchased 4 new tires with Honda and the warranty with them for any issues I run in to. my low tire light came on and even though it was just a patch needed, I still had to pay just under $40. a week later, the low tire light came on again and I didn't feel like giving Honda another shot. I took it instead to Discount Tire where they got me in, checked my tire, patched up where there was a screw and let me go FREE OF CHARGE! They were pleasant, helpful, informative and quick! I didn't even get my tires from them and they were great! I will be going there for any tire purchases or needs! read more

I'm impressed by the level of incompetency and carelessness at this location. F, fail. Roadtripping from San Diego CA, driving a 2015 Fleetwood Storm Class A RV, noticed my front tires were damaged so I purchased 8 tires (6 RV tires and 2 trailer tires) Michelin 245/70 R19.5. They put the wrong tires on the front of my RV, they installed smaller ones (225/70 R19.5), I had to point it out to the technician and management and correct them on it. The RV tires also call for 120PSI cold 'n they aired up my tires to 85-86PSI. Michelin's RV guidance and standards indicate anything below 90 PSI on an RV tire is considered flat. They also raised the rear of my RV without chalking the front tires, eliminating the parking break, super dangerous. There are no checks and balances at this location, the management has very poor communication, no supervision over the technicians. Amateur hour, Bush League. The staff don't care about their customers safety, if they did, they would have communicated that their equipment will only inflate tires to a maximum of 90PSI. If they cared, they would supervise their staff and the staff would double and triple check their work. You had one job, replace my tires and you got that wrong, you put the wrong ones on, wasting a solid hour of your time, and my time. Secondly, you didn't get the tire pressure right, and didn't say anything about it. Your guys gave me a thumbs up and sent me on my way. Thirdly you didn't chalk the tires, so careless and dangerous. Poor management, no supervision, no checks and balances, carelessness. Fix yourself. I'm surprised you got the torque right, 'n didn't strip out my wheel lugs and lug nuts. I was appreciative that Discount Tire was available in the area and that they were able to source the tires I needed, however, this location gets a fail, 1 star for being screw ups. Replace the management, retrain the staff and technicians and hold your people accountable. A supervisor should provide over the shoulder supervision and guidance and double and triple check their technicians work. Update - the very next day the store manager did contact me in an attempt to make things right 'n gave me a $700ish refund. I appreciate his efforts, however, if I were to get in an vehicular accident due to their gross incompetence and negligence, the refund is peanuts, all things considered. Update - Driving west, returning home to San Diego. Drove through Phoenix and as far as Yuma, and my steering wheel, RV windows and RV have been shimmying and shaking the whole way at 55 mph due to improperly balanced tires, wtf, now I got to deal with that. What a nightmare headache. So disappointed and upset. read more

They did right by me. I called them up and got a price on some tires, then when I got there it turned out they didn't have those tires in stock. So the manager gave me the next best tires for the same price, and didn't even tell me about it. People like this are rare, and I would go there again. read more

11-30-2017 09;35 Am My son call from Roswell NM. He purchased A Used Truck from a dealer there in town a week ago. He had it check out before buying it. It took all the money he had save Plus. Well wouldn't you know it, on 11-27-2017 engine censer light want on. Now today he gets a flat a nail in the sidewall. Discount tire was willing to put the spare on for free. Wow! what a brake for him. But it was not to be, you see the spare at best was no good. This is were Discount Tire, show love of God to our fellow man. They already know the spot my son was in and was willing to make a deal were he could pay for it when he got money. I real don't know the hold deal. However after hearing now very considerate, Discount Tire was to him and knowing how a lot of people are treating each other now a day's. The worst customer service I've ever had. Called today at 2:30 asked if they could rotate and balance my tires. Showed up at 3:00, the guy checked me in, inspected each tire, we discussed the work and I sat down in the waiting area at 3:30. At 5:00 another guy told me they couldn't rotate and balance my tires because the fronts were to worn out they are 5/32" and only 8/32" new, performance tires. It was clearly driven by the fact that it was 5pm and a rather hot day. He was "blowing me out" a term used in the auto repair industry for getting rid of customers when the work is to difficult or in this case the profit margin didn't match that of a new set of tires. They had my history of purchases listed in front of them, two sets of tires on my Tahoe, 4 new trailer tires, 6 tires on our Motorhome, and the Tahoe is due for a new set... Well not though you guys ever again. Lazy lazy lazy. He even seemed proud to say he was going to give me my 70$ back, seriously dude? I recommend you pick any other tire company the service can't possibly be worse. read more

I can't say enough good things about this store. I had an appointment so they quoted me 45 minutes to wait. It was a busy Saturday morning and it took an extra 5 minutes and it was worth it. The customer service was fantastic. They were genuinely concerned for our safety and very nice. They broke off one of the tire studs and offered to pay for the repair at a garage that did this type of repair. We have in the past gone to that big box mart to get our tires but after having an expensive electronic item stolen in the town directly south of this town, I am never going back there. So glad to have a business like this to turn to. read more

Spent the night in Roswell enroute to Colorado. Evacuated from flooding in Houston. Next morning TPS showed a low tire and I found a small nail. Discount Tire was right across the street from our hotel and opened at 8 am. They opened promptly at 8 and I was quickly assigned a tech. We were on the road in just over an hour. Not a quick plug job - they unmounted the tire from the wheel, prepped and installed an inner patch, put a new seal on the TPS, remounted the tire and balanced the assembly. The assembly was put back on the car and the lug nuts tightened with a real torque wrench! Everyone was professional and helpful - thanks to all. read more

Terrible business. Had my tires replaced here and after a couple months a noise could be heard from the wheel. I took it back and was told just needed a rotation. The noise continued to get worse. Went back was told needed another rotation. Left and could not take it anymore. Went back and the Manager looked at my 2009 Mazda and said your shocks are bad. So I went to a garage and they found that the tires were put on backwards. Not only were they on backwards but the tire actually says this side in or this side out. Clearly could be read off the tire. Two tires damaged on passenger side due to the fact that tire kept being rotated, Went back and manger would only replace one. When I refused and just told him to put it on correctly was give a new option that he would give me one free if I brought 3 more. WHAT these are 75,000 mile tires with only 20,000 on them.... Will never go back ,,,, Also have hub damage but mechanic can not 100% say that discount tire caused damage..... read more

WARNING! My wife had a slow leak in her tire (two weeks to go flat) and took it to discount tire on north main in Roswell to get it fixed. They dismounted the tire and told her there were two holes close together and it could not be fixed. She would have to buy a new tire. It was a fairly new tire with lots of tread left. Perplexed she asked them to remount it and put it back on so she could go home and decided what to do. They said they would not remount it and she would have to buy a new tire. Finally they agreed to put the spare on. When she got home I took the tire to another tire dealer and they found in the tread one not two, small nail or perhaps a staple. They patched it, put it back on the car no problem and no attempt to sell a new tire. This is not the first time they have done this. Some time back the same thing happened only that time she did buy a new tire. She trusted that they were a reputable dealer. They are not! Beware if you do business with them. They will screw you if they can. I will not go back again and I suggest you do not either. read more
