Pretty bad experience here today. Came for their free tire air check that they gladly offer, but there was no one available to help me nor did I receive any kind of acknowledgment that I was there. I arrived at 5:30pm, close to their closing time, so I didn't expect fast service. But I counted at least 8 employees who saw that I was there but tried to avoid eye contact as I sat in my car. It was only when an employee drove in with a Discount Tire fleet service vehicle at 5:40pm when I was warmly welcomed and told that the workers in the office knew I was there and I would be assisted shortly. An employee helping another customer did also check on me from a distance. After another 8 minutes, an employee named Cameron came over to help...then proceeded to joke with one of his colleagues in the parking lot who was helping other patrons that his colleague needed to help me when he was done. His colleague was just as confused as I was. I asked Cameron for a tire check and tire pressure to a certain specification, which was done on only two of my tires. Cameron then tried to explain the mechanics of how tire pressures worked and how I didn't need my other two tires checked. I firmly asked him to check, which he did and filled my tires to the requested tire pressure. When it was done, the time was 5:52pm. For something that should have at most taken 10 minutes, this was a big time suck. All in all, I left frustrated and annoyed. The guy in the fleet vehicle did his job well. Well I gave Discount Tire another shot after being very disappointed with the service provided when my daughter brought her car in for new tires. I had a nail in my tire and originally booked an appointment for repair. When I checked tire this morning it needed air and I realized it was time to replace the front two. When I arrived at store Julian assisted me. He "checked" all four tires for wear. The front tires were 4/32. Definitely time for replacement. The rears according to his reading were 6/32. He advised I replace all 4 because they needed it. I've attached a thread chart from Google. Tires at 6/32 are rated GOOD. Julian is a deceitful person who is obviously rewarded for selling new tires vs honestly accessing a vehicle's tire with the customers best interest at heart. Discount Tire use to be reliable but no more. I paid $1,184 for two tires. The installation was done quickly. Definitely must say the installation was exceptional and well worth praise. Unfortunately the sales team cannot be trusted. I'm going to look elsewhere for tires now. I don't need the aggravation of being lied to and deceived by dishonest business. Truly disgusting that Discount Tire is more interested in selling their customers unnecessary merchandise vs respecting loyalty from customers who have trusted them for more than a decade. My wife brought my car in 4 days ago to get a tire replaced, they were supposed to change the Front Driver tire. I was at work and she needed to be somewhere so we asked them to hold onto the key until the following day and that I would pick it up with my spare after hours. So skip forward to 9pm when I arrive to pickup my car, I walk up and immediately notice the screw is still inside my tire. I walk around and see that for whatever reason they've changed the Front Passenger tire instead that did not have any damage. To top this off they left my car with the key in it out in there parking lot for hours despite being told to hold onto it. I called them the following day to figure out what went wrong, they told me they had the Front Driver tire in their notes so they weren't sure what happened. So I assume at this point when I tell them I'll come in the following day that they would make sure they are prepared to change the correct tire. I show up just to be told they don't have the tire in stock and they would have it tomorrow and call me. They even tried making it sound like they didn't have one in stock last time when they messed up even though they did. Next day, call never came so called at 3pm to find they still didn't have it. Said they'd call when they got it, fast forward to the next day. Call still never came, called again at 3pm and they have it, I scheduled to come in at 4pm and upon arrival they finally moved forward and changed the correct tire. I have literally not had one good experience at three of the locations in the Austin/round rock area. Would not recommend, absolutely baffling experience. Going to have to look into who else takes my tire warranty so I do not have to return to discount tire again. On 3 different occasions during this ordeal they have referred to the tire locations as "left" or "right", i don't think I need to explain why that is stupid and asking for mistakes. So, take this into consideration when choosing where to get your tires done. Also frustrating that they charged my wife to renew a tire warranty that I'd already canceled after they charged me in the past without asking, I have a tire warranty I do not need their warranty. And my wife clearly stated I had warranty through MPP and they somehow still had in their system that I had tire warranty through them despite being refunded. She didn't know better so I paid for a secondary warranty now. Such a mess. read more

Manny and Cody seem to be completely incompetent . They installed some faulty TPMS sensors, and didn't confirm they were active before I left. Then, they promised to call me when the new sensors came in, of course they didn't. I called them after two weeks of waiting. They were in, so I scheduled another appt.. Then, they dropped the ball again and lost my appt. time for Saturday morning. I got there and they had no record of it. I've had to wait over 2 more hours in the lobby for something that should have taken 30 minutes to do, but shouldn't have happened in the first place. read more

The staff members were very informative and kept me updated throughout the process. There was an issue with one of my tire lugs from a previous service from a different provider. One of the employees contacted me and informed me of the issue, and provided recommendations to address the issue. Unfortunately this team isn't very honest. My husband took my car in because I ran over a nail. The tire wasn't in stock so they ordered it, and he paid for it that day. When I went in once the tire arrived, the associate wanted to start all over with a tire inspection of my other tires. (I have a brand new car.) I told him all of that had been done, I was just there to get the tire we already ordered. He insisted. So I waited inside. He came back and while putting everything in the system proceeds to tell me my "balance" was $74.50. I knew they charged $74.50 for a warranty program that we did not want. So I said no, and told them it was shady that he just added it and didn't even tell me he added an optional service and just gave me a "balance" expecting me to just pay it without asking questions. His associate THEN tried to explain what it was and told me they had replaced my tire for free bc I bought it from them. Again... brand new car. No I didn't. A third associate then told them, "no it's a brand new car." They then shut up and took the charge off. I got my car back only to find they over inflated my tires. I do check out the door prices when buying tires, but Discount Tire always has the best price and it's convenient, especially if you make an appointment beforehand. Thank you so much to the team at Discount Tire for truly going above and beyond! I came in one morning with a dangerously low tire that was making my car veer to the left. Julian immediately came out to help and tried to fill it with air, but it was just too flat to bring back to life. I told him I had a spare in my trunk and just needed to borrow a floor jack, so he checked with his manager, Ben. As I was getting ready to put on the spare, Ben asked how old it was. I said it's from 2005, "I'll take the risk, I need to be at work in 15 min". He snapped, "I won't, I'm not letting you take that risk" I had work at 10:30am and had arrived at 10:10ish am, but they worked incredibly quickly and efficiently--within a min or 2, Ben found the right replacement tire for my car and Julian installed it. Thanks to Julian and Ben's care and professionalism, I was able to get to work on time and, more importantly, felt completely safe leaving there. Walmart required an online order and a five to seven day wait for reference. Arrived at the shop and it was standing room only. On a Friday afternoon no less!! The agent was quick and friendly. I decided to go in at around 2:15 on a Saturday, after calling and finding out that my car would be ready by 5 that day. Summer was the associate who took a look at my tires and made some recommendations regarding options that were available. I was only planning on replacing my front two tires because the treads were the most worn down on those two, but after thinking it over, I decided to get all four tires replaced. I took my car in for a scheduled tire repair 8/9/25 and asked the sales person to check all my tires for nail/screws since i was going out of town the upcoming weekend. Immediately after looking at my car he starts to try to sell me wiper blades and 2 new tires. He said my back tires are at a 3 which is dangerous to drive with on their chart & when I said the almost $400 is not in my current budget I'll get them when I budget it out. He started asking if I had a discount tire cc & I told him I'm not interested in accumulating more debt because I just got out of chapter 7. He then brought it up a 3rd time pushing affirm (buy now pay later) and I was getting more and more upset and we hadn't even went inside yet! AFFIRM is 29.99% or higher interest which is even more then the discount card. At this point I said like I told you twice I just want the tire with the nail repaired (but that's free) smh. When we finally went inside and we're standing in the lobby in front of a bunch of people, he clicked away on the computer for a while and I'm thinking he's getting my car into the system so that I can get my tire fixed and get out of there because I told him as soon as I got there I only had about an hour and a half before I had to start my workday. So then as I'm pretending to be on my phone he starts working something out secretly with the manager right next to him and then they decide to both look at the computer and again gang up on me about getting two new tires when I told them multiple times I did not have the money to buy the tires. I went in there for a quick and easy free repair of tires I bought from discount tire that I was told I had warranties on, and instead they kept pressuring me to buy tires. I get that they have to make a sale but I also told him that I have CPTSD in severe anxiety and then I was just trying to give myself peace of mind to get on the road and make a road trip to my family who needed me. Instead I left worrying about three tires instead of one tire and I was completely upset by the way that I was treated. I don't know if that's how they just treat women in general, because two days later I took my car into a different discount tire and brought a male friend with me, and I was in and out in less than an hour. They fix the nail and my tire, and even though the discount tire told me that they would not rotate my tires when I asked them to just rotate the lower tires from the back to the front they said they could not do that, this discount tire which is that is at 45/35 intersection, rotated my tires with no question or argument whatsoever. In addition to receiving great customer service at the other discount tire, no pressure, and then doing exactly what I asked, they also shared with me that the tires that this discount tire told me were out of three were at a 4.32 and I didn't even tell them that I brought the car to another discount tire. They suggested getting the tires Replaced in the upcoming months but did not put any pressure on me. I will never bring my car back to this discount tire, I get that you have to make sales and you have quotas, but we are being marketed to constantly and there is only so much money in our possession. When I left no one even tried to stop me or repair the customer service I received. When you first opened and I went there everyone was so nice and overly eager to help out and listen. After experiencing it myself, I sat back as customer after customer was immediately and warmly greeted with politeness and attentiveness. The store and the people were very well put together, exhibiting cleanliness and a very polished look. The service to my vehicle was completed with the intent of full understanding to the customer. I watched on as associates took time to ensure the customer understood the details of their vehicular problems.
