I've been a customer for about 20 years and will continue to come back, however maybe they should tell people they have no idea how long it will take instead of providing an estimated time. I was told it would take 90 mins and it was 2 hours and 15 mins before they even pulled my car in. Frustrating spending my entire morning waiting. IIWII Update: after waiting 210 minutes I went outside to see if they were still working on my car, they weren't. They decided to park my car and not tell me it was done. I went to NTB first, I needed tires and an alignment. They didn't have hours posted, and then they told me they were closed. I have never had luck there, but I gave them a shot. OK, fine, I can try somewhere else that wants my money. I pulled in to this Discount Tire Store at 5:47 pm on a Friday evening during the Covid BS. Andrew talked with me, guided me onto a lift, and we went to the office. I left at 6:05 pm, with 4 new tires, mounted, balanced, spare back in the trunk. I would have been out earlier if I hadn't been talking to Andrew. This is the way a store should be run. Yes, I still need an alignment, but the place is called "Discount Tire" for a reason, and I get that, and thats all they do. We ordered tires online. Scheduled an appointment for the morning four days away. When I arrive to purchase the tires and have them installed, the little kid at the counter asks "did anyone tell you we had those"? I explained that the appointment was set online. He asked "did anyone tell you that they came in"? I explained again, the appointment was set online. His response was to tell me, another towns shop had the tires, I could get them there. We I am on a schedule, this is my wife's vehicle, and she leaves on a trip shortly. I schedule extra time, but not enough for complete INCOMPETENCE. I do not suffer fools lighly, much less rude ones. When did Discount Tire become about only Up-Selling. It's like an old school garage now. I had a nail in my tire and he told me I needed to buy new tires. These are Bridgestones with 25K miles. They are just fine. I had to raise my voice to tell the guy to stop talking and just plug my tire. I can't imagine what would have happened if my daughter's were here. I have used this location for 7 sets of tires over the course of the past 8 years since moving to Sachse. They are close and convenient, and the service years ago was good. Their prices are okay and they are willing to match Costco and Walmart's prices. The issues I have been having over the past 2-3 years are important details like forgetting to balance a tire. Or they balance them and leave the old weights on. Or balance them with weights across from each other on the same side of the rim. If I didn't have experience in the tire industry I wouldn't know better and would just take their word that the work was done as promised. Even when I bring it to their attention, even though they are willing to re-balance them correctly, they take no responsibility for not doing it right the first time. Discount Tire is a solid company that I have been doing business with for 10+ years and I still will...just not at this location. I wish that I could still bring my truck to the Sachse location because of the convenience, but I can no longer trust the employees there and neither should you. Discount Tire in Sachse either employs cons or they have instilled a dishonest style of business among their staff. My last visit I took my truck in for a tire rotation and repair. The process took over 2 hours to complete. Although unacceptable, that is not the issue. I was told that the damaged tire was not repairable due to sidewall damage. This is very understandable given it is a safety and legal matter. I asked to see the damage and they would not show me. That's when it seemed shady so I refused the new tire and left. The following week I took my truck to the location on Coit Rd. and Bush to repair the tire. In 45 minutes my truck pulled up to the front door. I asked the tech what the issue was and he said that I had a screw in the top of the tread and all was well. A previous visit to the Discount Tire in Sachse was with my brother in law to rotate his tires on his truck. The rep told us that it was "not worth his time" to rotate the tires and wanted to sell him four new tires when it was not needed. Needless to say we left. However, we returned the following week and spoke to another rep at the same store. The tires were rotated with no questions asked. Sachse Discount employs dishonest thieves. They treat their customers like idiots, but those who question their up-selling or their refusal for repairs will discover that they are most likely being scammed. Discount is a good company with a good reputation, but this location puts a scar on that. I'll continue to do business with Discount but not the Sachse location. Don't be taken for a fool...NTB is right next door or the Coit and Bush location will treat you right. read more

I've used Discout Tire exclusively for the past 10 years or so. The guys at this location have been nothing but professional and very customer service oriented. Free water! And every time I've come in, They've always gone out of their way to get me the best deal possible. The tires on my Explorer are $172 each (before shop fees, disposal, etc) everywhere else, but I just got 3 installed here for $322 including all shop fees. I have had leaks fixed several times and I've never been charged. read more

I really like this location. I've been going to discount tires for years and have not had a bad experience with them at any location. I always make an appointment and my car is always ready when they say it will be ready. I always call ahead and make sure that they have my tires in stock before coming too. The guys are very nice and are always happy to help. The warranty on the tires are well worth it too. I got a flat tire driving to San Antonio once and the warranty covered the new tires. All I had to do was pay for a new warranty on the new tires. It's cheaper in Dallas than in San Antonio though. read more

I'm not sure how the previous review can be on the opposite spectrum of my experience. Unless they have had staffing changes, everyone was clean cut. There was not a ghetto experience. I scheduled my appointment online, showed up about 10 minutes early, and had no issues. So, I've bought tired from discount tire for YEARS. Never had an issue with anything at all....until today. I show up (granted 5 minutes past closing with people still there and bay doors open with vehicles in them) to see if my tire can be looked at since it was near flat when I got off work. Tim (the manager) opened the locked door and asked what he could do for me. I explained the situation and he reminded me of their hours.....not in a kind way or even matter of fact...but as if I interrupted his closing. I asked "Are you able to help me?" His reply, "Well you're already here." Gee, I didn't know your hours and it JUST happened. It's not like I PLANNED this. There was also a discrepancy regarding who's name the account was under. I got this car from a friend and unbeknownst to me, I got her number. All he kept saying was "That's impossible!!!!" Um....people get new numbers all the time and they get recycled- just FYI. After waiting for him to get over that, he finally updated the account with my info. Now, I will say the technician who explained what they did and help me back out was outstanding!!!! I feel sorry the guy has to deal with Tim though. I won't EVER go back to this location even though it is closer to my house. We found Abel checking air tire pressures in the hot Texas sun, with a smile on his face and spring in his step. We explained the tire pressure light was on & unfortunately, another tire place dismissed me when I asked how to turn the tire indicator off. Abel first checked the full-sized spare in the trunk, then checked the four tires. Everything was good. As his head glistened with perspiration from the heat, he asked permission to check our tire sensors (so professional). It turns out a sensor was faulty. As hot as it was, he was cheerful, professional and had our best interest at heart. Thank you Abel! I have always used discount tire for our vehicles. When I went in to get my pressure checked, they noticed I have an "impact bubble" on one of my tires. They also noticed the front tread on the other tire was low. We are a family that is currently on furlough because of the shut down. Buying two, $180 tires is not something we can really afford right now but it's also something we can't afford to wait on. After doing some searching and find ways to give us credit for the one tire, they were able to get us two brand new tires for about half of what we were going to have to pay somewhere else! We just had a little ice and snow, which causes lots of new potholes. My wife hit one and it tore the sidewall. I had special ordered these tires from them with the full road hazard warranty. I went to them knowing they may have to order the tire in. They told me that if it is in the warehouse it will be here tomorrow or if they have to get it from Pirelli it will be a couple of days. I left them the ruined tire and thankfully a good rim. A little over an hour after I left they called me and let me know the tire will be here around 11-1 tomorrow. Around noon the next day they said it was here and ready to be put on. I got there and in less than 10 minutes the tire was on, paperwork signed and the car sitting at the door ready for me. All 4 Tires were installed, balanced and put back in the truck in less than 30 minutes. They charge the same installation price as if the tires were bought in store. I visited the Sachse discount tire Saturday morning for a flat repair and to have my tires rotated. Tire was completely flat and I had air it up to drive there. I watched tire pressures on the way so I know the tire had 39 lbs. The young man told me they found a nail, repaired it and rotated. I got up Sunday and that same tire was flat again. I returned Monday and was helped by Steve. Steve came to tell me I had picked up a second nail inches from the Saturday repair. I told him I believed no repair was done, the young man had simply rotated my tires and sent me on my way. He of course defended his employee. What are the odds that his employee aired that tire back to exactly 39 lbs which by the way is overinflated and the pressures in the other tires remained under inflated. Sit where you can watch what they're doing. I've always had the best service at this location but with new staff and mangers in place, service and integrity have declined. read more

After buying a set of very expensive 20" aluminum wheels and $300+ tires and then another set (new pickup) of $300/ea. tires that lasted about 18,000 miles, very soft rubber, and now return for yet another $300+/ea. tires and all I can get off for this loyalty is a couple of bucks. Wal-Mart has same tire, cheaper as their everyday price. So my loyalty will go somewhere else. read more

Service was great and fast when I was in here 3 days ago buying new tires. The have great service when you're paying them money. When you have to bring your car back for them to fix something they did incorrectly like resetting the tire pressure sensors their service and attitude is atrocious. Almost two hour wait to reset a tire pressure sensor because it's raining and Michael doesn't want to get want to get wet and doesn't have an umbrella. read more

I desperately needed four new tires on my car but could only afford two right away. I planned to replace the two that were in the worst shape, and then the others in a few weeks. I decided that since I love my car and will keep it for a while, I would shell out the cash for some quality tires this time (unlike the lousy Kumho tires I put on last year). I made an appointment online to have two Michelins installed. When I got to the store it was really busy with people getting ready to travel for Thanksgiving. Chris S. greeted me and then looked me up in the computer. He couldn't find the appointment so I showed him the email confirmation on my mobile. He was very apologetic and promised to get me in right away. When we went out to my car, I explained that I could only buy two tires due to a tight budget. To my surprise, Chris worked some magic and was able to get four top-rated Michelins for me at a price I could manage, and I was on my way within 45 minutes! I even have a $70 rebate on top of that. While I spent more than I intended to today, I saved a ton overall thanks to Chris and his wonderful customer service. Chris has given me one more thing to be thankful for. You rock! read more

I was very impressed by the staff at this location. I hit a curb and destroyed my front tire, and brought it in to be replaced. I called them ahead of time to see of they would match or beat a price at NTB and they said they would. But when I got there, he asked me where I bought it (it was a very new tire) and I told him I bought it from them. We went inside, he pulled me up on their computer and verified my earlier purchase, and then told me instead of paying the $129 price at NTB, he could get me a new tire for $45! I was shocked to say the least, because he did this without my asking, and he could have easily made a hundred dollars more from me if he wanted to, and I would have been happy to pay it. I was so happy I had enough money left over to get my car aligned as well as an oil change! read more

Avoid this place like the plague. I bought my wife a set of 4 tires last year at this location. The manager kept popping in to the waiting area to tell us that ____ needed replacement/attention, you need an alignment, you need shocks, you need....I told him please just put the tires on and let that be the end of our business. A few days later I went to my personal mechanic because as its the wife's car I worry, so I went to him about the alignment and about the shocks and he called me within a short time to tell me there was nothing wrong with the car. I felt like an idiot. So yesterday my wife called while on the road because of a thumping sound. I drove to where she was to find the front drivers side tire was coming apart. This tire is about 1 year old, and its coming apart and banging on the car. I changed the tire and went to this Sachse location where I purchased the set to see about a replacement. The kid behind the counter looked at my paperwork and brought up a list of tires on his computer. He asked which tire we would like, I asked what it would cost us, he indicated that the retail price reflected on the screen is what it would cost. I asked if there wasnt some kind of guarantee on the tires we were sold last year and he replied that we have over 20,000 miles on the tires. It took some figuring but finally I figured out what the original shyster did, he marked down our starting mileage by padding it by 10,000 miles. We bought the new set of tires at the same time as we had our state inspection performed and there was a 10,000 mile difference in the mileage quoted. Nice one there, very sneaky. Selling garbage at a premium price, padding mileage and offering no warranty whatsoever on a product that is disintegrating before our eyes. Did I mention that this is a safety issue? The place is very nice but a handful of the staff members are a little rude and impatient. Just came in for a tire rotation since I got off work early. Drove from Dallas all the way to Sachse where I bought my tires. The lady ahead of me was told less than an hour for a warranty issue. Then I get up there next. I inform Nat (Discount Tire Associate) I need a tire rotation. He says did you make an appointment? I advise no. He said it will be a 2 1/2 - 3 hour wait. Mind you this is at 3:45 PM. Freaking ridiculous!!!! Guess that's what you pay for when you get the warranty and lifetime rotation for $883.93. I could have been prepared if I was told now that you paid extra for this additional stuff make sure you make an appointment, and don't just show up. My tire started going flat this morning. I barley made it into the parking lot at at the Sachse location. It was 7:49 and there were three employees standing in there talking. I waited until 7:53 and walked up to the door...in the rain. When the guy opened the door he asked me what I needed today. I told him I had a flat, which was clearly visible, but told him my tires were worn and I needed to get four new ones. I have a 2011 Ram 1500 with 20" tires. I knew this was not going to be cheap. Expecting him to be eager to help me spend my money I was taken aback when he said "Okay, we'll get your information and get you going at 8:00 when we open". Are you freaking serious?! They couldn't open up 7 minutes early? How many time have they had to stay late to finish installing tires. I was the only one in the parking lot. I made good use of my 7 minutes. I called Goodyear and got a quote for 4 Goodyear Adventure with Kevlar. I had the quote and they had the tires ordered before Discount Tire even opened. I was waiting at the door at 8:00 when they opened. He asked what I wanted to put on them. I told him now he could just put on the spare because I wasn't going to buy tires from them now. They put on the spare, and didn't charge me, but for 7 minutes, they lost a $1500 sale. I had heard bad things about that store before, but when it's raining and you have a flat tire your options are limited. I was very disappointed by their lack of concern and effort. Great fast service. I took my car for 2 new tire replacements because I thought they were due. (I'm not a car guru) . I had already ordered the tires online. The service clerk inspects the tires and asks me why I did I want to replace them? I told him that I thought they were due for replacement . He shows me with a visual how my tires were still in very good shape! I was very impressed with the honesty and character of the clerk! I've never written a review. I got 4 new tires installed. When I got home the store called and informed me that my wheel lock key wasn't put back in my car. Not a huge deal and if that were it I wouldn't be writing this review. When I stopped by to pick it up I told the sales associate why I was there. He was busy with something, but after finishing up what he was doing, he totally ignored me, wrongfully thinking refilling the coffee pot took precedence over helping me, making me wait several more minutes before offering to help. Total lack of customer service. Edited 4/13: Just noticed they charged me for a TPMS rebuild kit, which I told them I did not want. Down-graded to 1 star. My advice: Stay clear of this store. Edited 4/22: Just got new tires for my other two cars at my local wholesale club. I usually make appointments and I expect to be there for at least 2 hours max, this one changed all 4 tires in 45 minutes! I was so please with the service and attitude with this place! Great place to purchase and repair run flats. It may take a day or two to order what you want, but once they are in they provide very quick, friendly service. No pressure to buy a full set and they are always willing to attempt a repair first, which is hard to find with run flats. Glad they are nearby. read more
