Came in to get air in my tires and was told one of my tires needed to be checked out as it was too low for them to put air. Once checked, they found a nail was in my tire and told me they would try to see if it could be patched up and if not I would need a new tire. They were able to save my tire and patched it up for me, all this was done for free. I've been to other places before and have always been charged for them to patch it up. I hate to leave a bad review about Discount Tire in Wylie, because it was my favorite tire store. Today, 8/31/2024, I just purchased 4 Hankook tires and spent almost $900.00 . On the way home, I had to stop and get air as the sensors were reading low. After checking all tires, they were all low. As far as the professionalism of the store, everytime a technician or salesperson went through the door to the service area - it sounded like a concert and very loud. The technicians were yelling and screaming most of the time and all could be heard even before the door was opened. I know it is a small issue, but I only got back two of the four special order valve stem caps. I don't think I will be using this store again. read more

Over the last few years I have bought 3 sets of tires (Corvette, Raptor and 2023 F-150) and today a set of Fuel wheels for the F-150. Every time I buy something at the Wylie Tx. Store they say, "we'll give you a call when your order comes in, or we will call when your vehicle is ready". Never got a phone call for any of the above. Wheels came in, again no call. This is after the salesman asks if my phone number is a good one to call, I tell him yes. No call but around 5:00 yesterday I check my email. They had emailed me at 2:00 saying wheels were in. No one ever said shit about emailing me. If they would have called(as promised twice) I would have gone up there and had wheels installed. Instead I had to juggle schedule to bring in today. Stressed to them to please call when truck was ready. Again no call. Called myself and sure enough truck was ready. Not even an email this time. I'll be looking for new tire/wheel dealer in future. Received email from Discount TIre on 9/7 after a review on FB saying they would contact me within 24 hrs. Here it is 9/9 and still no contact from Discount Tire. Purchased Michelin best 4 tires in 2020 for 80K warranty. Came in today to have them take a look at my tires. Tires already cracking. New Michelin best defender 2 would've cost $197 each. But your sales person Richard offered to prorate the old tires and I was able to save $304.28. Also he told me I needed new wiper blades and he offered $5 each and to put them on. Additionally, the lug nuts were swollen so he threw in a set of free lug nuts all the way around. I wasn't expecting all of these blessings. I have always trusted Discount Tires for 20+ years. Took my car in with screw in the rear passenger tire. Technician looked at it and said it would be 50-50 chance of fixing. They said it would be a long wait because they were busy. I said no problem I needed the tire fixed. After over a three hour wait the car was done. I thanked them for the free service and left. Next day I see the screw in the tire. I called and was told they wrote up that the screw was in driver side tire. So they didn't feel the need to check other tires when they didn't see the obvious screw in the tire, that the technician SAW in the passenger tire when he wrote it up. The Discount Tire at 3081 Longtown Commons Dr in Columbia, SC was supposed to deliver 3 of my wheels, but failed miserably, failing to take responsibility, and blaming Fed Ex. A lot of shady business practices is going on there. One of the wheels that they were supposed to ship arrived in Mesquite, TX, and guess what? The box was EMPTY!! How do you not know that a box that weights around 30lbs is empty? Who's managing that store? The 3 stooges? Dillon finally gave up on that store and he got another store from Colorado to ship my last wheel and it arrived in a timely manner. Due to construction in the wylie and Plano area I got several nuts and screws 9n my rear tires. I had planned on buying 2 of a certain tire since I have a performance car. I was met and treated within 5 min of walking in. I explained what was going 9n and was offered different tire brands if I needed that day ( what they had in stock they will order what you need but it's better to make an appointment) I waited an hour there were customers ahead of me again I was a walk in. They took my rear tires off took the screws out and either they didnt leak ( my tire pressure lights kept coming on that's why I went there) or they were patched I was NOT charged.
