I have been talking my car here for awhile. It's a 2007 Honda Pilot. I didn't do the 100,000 recommended service and paid a price for that. Kwik Kar fixed everything. They guaranteed their work. I did have a little problem with a faulty part after that set of repairs and they fixed it for free. They also towed me in for free. That was a fluke though. All of their work has been fantastic. I am SO impressed with this bunch!! I came here for some minor issues and requested a break check. The best word to describe this team? "DETAILED" or I could have said "THOROUGH" ! The guy looking at my car (sorry I didn't get his name) brought me out to my car and showed me my brakes, the items he used to measure my breaks, explained everything (and then some!) to make me fully aware of the state of my car. In the end, he said I didn't need to spend money on new brakes. Checked tires and the gaskets on the clamps holding the brakes. When I didn't get one, I called and a man answered the phone with friendliness and enthusiasm, mentioning the online appointments were having trouble but he could book me at the time I requested. What a relief! Then a nice man named Matt helped me once I arrived and answered about 10 questions I had regarding some additional issues with my car. He did so in a very informative and calming manner, and made sure I aligned in understanding my car's needs, as well as options. A wonderful experience. It is ironic that every time my husband and I get an oil change there, something else seems to break. Have a 2017 Buick Enclave and shouldn't have too many problems. My check engine light was on and had to have something with my fuel replaced because my car would hesitate and die. Unfortunate it was just out of warranty. The second oil change the next day my car wouldn't start, and had to pay $250 for a new battery. My husband took his BMW for an oil change and 9 days later his car won't start. End of an era. First, the service and quality are outstanding. The repair service is also outstanding. I want to make sure that was stated up front. My only problem is with their oil change prices. What use to be 60-80 for synthetic blend was $106 to kick off 2019. That price pushes you to other stores in Sachse or Murphy. It even pushes you to dealers. I will still say they are good, but for oil changes the price is prohibitive. read more

This place does a really good job of explaining any safety check failures and working with you to resolve them. I had moved to Texas and my window tint wasn't acceptable. The staff shared how to peel the tint and suggested a shop to re-tint my vehicle. With their advice I peeled the tint and came back and passed inspection. In fact I didn't have time to get rid of the tint adhesive and they did this for me. Good, honest customer service. read more

Very polite and seemingly knowledgeable staff. Came in for an oil change and a check up on a tire issue and both were taken care of. My wife and I had to drop the car off due to some other errands we had to do. This was no problem and the staff said they would call when it was ready. The only issue I had was that we were never called when it was ready. I called about three hours after dropping the car off and was told the car had been ready for sometime and that perhaps some of the tried to call but didn't leave a voicemail. They quickly apologized and the work had already been done and my wife and I weren't in any big hurry since we had the other car available to us so it wasn't a big deal. I can say with confidence that we will probably be coming back for any and all other car issues for the time being. Thanks again to Trey for helping out! read more

Was told I would get a call with a tire quote. 3 hours pass and no call, so I go back to find out they've been done for a while and didn't have my tire size. Thanks, guys. I have been using Kwik Kar in Wylie for 12 years. I use them for oil changes and inspections. Have been happy with the competent service and convenience that is until today. I took my wife's Mercedes Benz E350 in for an oil change. They quoted me $110 for 8 quarts of mobile 1 synthetic and an oil filter. This was a Managers special. When they finished I went to pay and they said $135. I told him I was quoted $110. He said the filter was more than expected. The manager in the back said just do it for $110. I said thank you to the manager. He replied "whatever" Really, 12 years as a loyal customer and that's how I get treated. Well I'm looking for a new shop to get my oil changes/inspections at now. Haha Came here to get oil change and inspection done. Overall service was awesome! All the workers seemed happy and at least three told me have a good day and thank you for visiting. Waited a little less than an hour for both. Priced typical for these types of service centers. Both under $80! No pressure to get other things done other than what I requested. Stellar Kwik Kar location!! I drive from Plano specifically to go to only this location to service my oil change needs. This location is always very professional, the Manager is always attentive to any questions asked, and the people there are quick to answer any questions you may have or point out any potential things to keep a eye on that may need to be addressed in the future that they found in their routine inspection. This is really above and beyond service they provide here, the Kwik Kar location near me in Plano seemed to have arrogant workers working there every time I went in there, and a few years back, when I drove a sports car (no longer have), I took it in to get a inspection, and overheard one of the guys telling another guy he can't wait to drive my car "like he stole it" on the "test drive" when they were driving it for the inspection sticker. That is the kind of unprofessional service that leads customers like me to go to another business or location altogether. The Kwik Kar in Wylie is highly recommended, their service has always been reasonably priced, detailed, and the people there are always very professional. They also address me by my name every time, not by the type of car I drive, which I heard another poster comment that the Sachse location does. What a relief that me and my wife have found this place! What a relief to trust a mechanic shop again. My wife brought her Mazda 3 to this shop a few weeks ago and was so impressed with the friendliness and more important, honesty she received that she recommended I take my Nissan Altima there too. After toiling with Firestone for many years I took my car to Wylie Kwik Kar letting them know of the brake issue that has lingered since immediately after Firestone last did my rotors and brake pads. Wylie Kwik Kar assessed the situation all while being very up front with me and even giving suggestions to save me a buck or two. I gave them the ok to do the work and my brakes are as smooth as butter now. I don't know how to explain it completely but the feeling we get from Wylie Kwik Kar compared to the aforementioned is such a relief. As I started my review. It's nice to trust a mechanic shop again. First this places price are ridiculous obviously it's family owned. Second of all they don't do alignments there, they say they do but they take your car down the road to a cheaper auto shop get the alignment and charge you triple. They don't have insurance so if they wreck your car it's all on you to pay. Horrible customer service the women seem to always have attitude and the men seem like you're a waste of time. Was quoted $63 including tax for an oil change because I wanted full synthetic oil. Because they had little waiting on Saturday I agreed to pay this price. Oil change speed was fair, about 45 minutes. But then when I went to pay there were several 'add on' costs they forgot to mention. The total bill for the oil change was $77. I wanted to argue it but had an errand to run so let it go. Unfortunately I was back only 4 days later because I noticed a scratching sound when I sped up above 35 mph and also when cornering. Turns out my undertray was flapping because one of the bolts to fasten it was missing. They refastened it with zip ties and told me it happened because the summer heat made it shrink. When I got home I checked their work. Strangely all the other bolts are super tight and no sign of shrinkage. The only missing bolt is right where the oil drain plug is. Looks like someone took my undertray bolt off to work on the car and did not bother to replace it. It wasn't necessary to remove it because you can reach the oil filter and bolt without removing the undertray. Someone went overboard in removing parts. I'm ordering a replacement bolt and replacing the bolt myself because their zip ties won't hold more than a few months. My car btw has 56K miles and in great condition except for this now missing fastener. Low mileage cars don't fall apart on their own. The fasterners cost $16 on Amazon so my oil change total is now $93 plus my labor to put the fastener back on. One star for lying about the shrinkage to coverup someone being lazy. Btw, the oil is already turning darker so their 'full-synthetic' is cheap product also. read more

Kwik Kar tells me to show my receipt to Cartopia for a free five dollar wash. I get to the car wash and they say they don't honor that deal. I call the owner of Kwik Kar in front of the Cartopia Manager and I get a bunch of sorry. Kwik Kar offers five bucks off my next hundred dollar oil change and the car wash does not try to keep my business and let's me drive away. I live around the block and used to wash my car there all the time. So here I am letting you know about the great service at these two businesses I will never use again... read more

My husband took my car here for an oil change and to g et the tires rotated and when he told me how much it was I thought it was really high. My husband said it was because they rotated the tires. We decided to go there again for a synthetic blend oil change oh my husbands truck, and they said it would be $85. We said that was way too high and that we were going somewhere else and they said ok! We went to Meineke for a synthetic blend oil and the cost was $24.95. That's a $60 difference for the same thing! I don't understand.. Anyways I do not recommend them unless you have a lot of extra money to spend and don't mind! I wish they were more reasonable because they are so close to where we live. Took my truck here a couple months ago for an oil change. I bought the truck in Wylie, and needed an oil change before i drove it an hour home. No problem until I went to take the oil filter off. Thing was stuck on good. However, I called and the manager offered to have my truck towed all the way back to wylie and make it right. Very impressed with the offer, however with a giant set of channel locks, it came free. At least it never leaked oil. Good to know there's an oil change place that stands behind their work and would go above and beyond to make it right. read more
