I got 4 new tires installed. When I got home the store called and informed me that my wheel lock key wasn't put back in my car. Not a huge deal and if that were it I wouldn't be writing this review. When I stopped by to pick it up I told the sales associate why I was there. He was busy with something, but after finishing up what he was doing, he totally ignored me, wrongfully thinking refilling the coffee pot took precedence over helping me, making me wait several more minutes before offering to help. Total lack of customer service. Edited 4/13: Just noticed they charged me for a TPMS rebuild kit, which I told them I did not want. Down-graded to 1 star. My advice: Stay clear of this store. Edited 4/22: Just got new tires for my other two cars at my local wholesale club. Would have purchased them from this store had it not been for the terrible customer service received above. read more

I've been going to discount tire for a long tine with all my families cars. The one in sachse is by far the best customer service I have ever been to. I usually make appointments and I expect to be there for at least 2 hours max, this one changed all 4 tires in 45 minutes! I was so please with the service and attitude with this place! I went here to get a screw removed from a tire because of their policy of fixing flats for free. (This is a great service, but it is just a hook to get you in the store). After a minute or so, the manager approached me and told me that they couldn't repair the tire because my rear tires were too worn (in the red zone on their handy explanatory sign). He also told me that my front tires were in the yellow zone, which is almost as bad as the red. Not surprisingly, he next gave me a quote for a full set of new tires. Since I couldn't afford a new set at the time, I left the store without getting my tire fixed. They didn't even offer to put some air in the tire to make sure I was safe to drive on it! Of course, I thought the man was telling me the truth since I believed that Discount Tire was a reputable, honest place. WRONG. A day later, I decided to check the tire tread myself by using the penny test. (This is where you put a penny in the tread upside down and if it covers the top of President Lincoln's head, the tires have plenty of tread left). My tires appeared to be fine. To verify, I took the car to get it inspected since it was due. The car passed inspection with flying colors. If the tires were too bald to drive on, it never would have passed inspection! Here is the bottom line...the store is clean and you can have a free bottle of water while you are there. But if you go here and your tires are slightly worn, expect to be lied to and for them to try to sell you a whole new set when the ones you have are in acceptable condition. I'm sure that I'm not the first person that they have pulled this on, and sadly I won't be the last. If you want a good, honest tire store, check out Payless Tire in Garland. Their customer service is excellent, they don't lie to you, and they have a big selection of tires. They are located at 108 Lavon Drive Garland, TX 75040. They patched my tire for $7.00 and it took about 10 minutes total. read more

Friendly service and the counter personnel acknowledges the wait and is attentive to their customers. The place is still clean. The wait is a bit long but worth every minute. No up-sellinf nor hassle. I recommend getting the road hazard coverage. Free replacement of my tire without mileage proration. I'll keep coming back for sure. Great experience! Another tire shop had told me my tire couldn't be repaired. And advised me I needed to replace both front tires for even wear. Discount Tire fixed my tire, didn't charge me anything, and clarified that I didn't need any new tires, let alone 2. They rotate the tires so there's always even wear. I made an appointment for 9:00AM Saturday to get new tires put on my boat trailer. I showed about about then, dropped the boat off, went and had breakfast and by the time I was back they were done and I was out the door. While that doesn't sound like anything groundbreaking, you can bet this is not a normal occurrence anymore, especially at chain automotive service centers. This was the best experience I have ever had getting tires. I found the tires I wanted and called them, made sure they had the tires in stock, and made an appointment. My car was done in 30 minutes! 30! Amazing! The manager told me that it is their policy with appointments to have it done in 30 minutes or less. Every person I dealt with was great! This store used to be great, but they've become rude and unhelpful. I've gone to Discount Tires (various locations) for as long as I can remember and always got great prices and friendly service. I've been going to the Sachse store exclusively for years. As I write this I'm in NTB for the first time in my life paying for a patch for my tire even though it would have been free at discount because this store has been rude to me for the last time. DO NOT GO TO THE SACHSE STORE!!!! FYI - There's a DT 15 minutes away in Rowlett that has better reviews than this Sachse store has. I hope Sachse goes out of business. read more

Had a 2:45 appt for new tires on my car I arrived 5min early and was told it would be an hour or less. I had work at 4 and I'm thinking I have plenty of time to arrive. 35min later they still havnt pulled my car into the garage so I go up to the counter and the guy is helping someone else and he rudely says can I help you and I ask how much longer does he think until he gets to my car so he proceeds to tell me the car will be ready an hour or less before my appt time and I ask him okay but how long before you can get to my car and then he looks up my appt time and says I've been there for 36 min. So I was irritated at that point and they seemingly intentionally didn't pull my car in the garage until 3:40 and weren't done until 3:55 I was already late for work and I have a push to start car and thought they left the keys in the car for me and when I got home to change I realized they didn't give me my keys. I had to call up there and they brought me my keys. Horrible experience although one of the workers was very nice! Will never be going back there again. I even got 3 yr warranty on the tires and I promise you I will be going to any other discount tire before I go anywhere near that train wreck again. Would give 0/5 stars but that wasn't an option! I held my tongue the previous two times I had trouble with this location. After the 3rd occurrence, I can no longer stay silent. The first two times both had to do with not properly tightening the lug nuts and causing damage (not to mention the potential for a serious accident). In those instances they paid for the tow truck, damaged hubs, and lug nuts. I can't remember if the rims had to be repaired and/or replaced or not. Last week I went to them with slow leaks in 3 tires (possibly due to picking up nails form all the contraction in town) and they refused to EVEN TRY to find/fix the leaks. Instead they tried to sell me 4 new tires despite admitting that all 4 tires are wearing evenly, perfectly legal, and have significant life left in them. This is not one of those situations where they claim the leak is in a location that can't be fixed. They wouldn't even look for the leak. They weren't even busy. This is a new behavior I've never seen in any Discount tire before. Af first I thought I misunderstood him, but subsequently confirmed his refusal and left. I have never had any trouble of any kind in any of the other Discount tire stores I've patronized over the years. I think one is just a bad egg. I'd recommend using a different one. The tires were dense toy priced and they did a good job, however the customer service was horrible. The man that helped me barely said 2 words never explained to me what was being done to my car. He did say it won't take too long. My car took 3 hours to get finished. I do not recommend this location to anyone that cares about their time or customer service. read more

First off, I love Discount Tire. They normally have excellent customer service & the greatest warranty for their tires. They always fix my tires for free, fill them up with air for free, & rotate / balance them for free. However, this location in Sachse, Texas does not live up to the Discount Tire brand reputation for best in class service. I came to them today with a golden opportunity to provide excellent service & they really dropped the ball. I came out to my car this morning to find my tire @ 6 psi, so I filled it up with air @ WalMart & drove straight to discount tire. The air check guy looked at my tire & noticed a screw in it. I told him we had to drive to San Antonio today & we were trying to get back for my son's swim practice. He said to tell the office our emergency & they would try to move on it quickly. The guy in the office, Alex, was completely unsympathetic & told us there was a few hours wait & that there was nothing he could do to help us. It has been more than an hour & my car has not been touched. I realize they are busy, but they really did nothing to help out a family with two children stranded that need to get on the road for a 5 hour drive. I will definitely go to the Discount Tire locations in Selma & San Antonio, but I would never recommend the Sachse Discount Tire to anyone. Horrible customer service. read more

i had a great customer experience at this location. this was my very first visit at this location. Tim, i believe he is the manager who took care of me. from the beginning he was very courteous, showed all the soft skills he had :). he discussed my needs, provide me with multiple options, help me select the best product fits my need, no pressure!. provide me more knowledge then i ever had before, to understand how i can prolong the life of tire instead of keep replacing earlier than expected. Time expected for my car to be ready exceed then what was expected but normally that happens every where. Over all, clean location, friendly staff, clean bathrooms, free coffee and water bottles, BUT no Wi-FI. Tim informed me that they are working on it, hope to see that in future. only reason i am not giving 5, because i can see there is some opportunity. i think it will be great if some one is waiting for more than an hour, They should be informed on the status. read more

Be careful with your free tire rotations!!! They are supposed to iclude the wheel balancing but they purposly skip that step. They skipped the wheel balancing for my car and they tell lies that it has been completed. I observed the same behaivor with other customers.Next time watch the process. Wonder why they have a fast tire rotation!!! read more

I have been a long time customer of Discount Tire and always experience great customer service for the most part. Last Sat. was my first experience with this Sachse location and I was highly disappointed. I brought my car, with my tire sensor on, in to this location 40 minutes before they were to close. I suspected I had a nail and the nice fellow at the air pressure check spot found it. I walked into the lobby area and told one of the sales associates that the guy outside confirmed that I had a nail in the tire. The sales associate informed that there was nothing he could today (Saturday) and that it would take them 2 hours to take care of my tire at least and would I like to make an appointment the following week. I was so disgusted that he couldn't help me 40 minutes before closing with a simple patch which is what one of the guys outside said I needed. I've walked into other Discount Tire stores with nails in my tires and ALWAYS I walk out with my tire fixed or replaced and a sales associate concerned for my safety until now. This is my family's only car which we depend on not only for transportation but also as a means to support our family as a Lyft/Uber driver. Thanks to God a young man outside in the garage area knew that was awful customer service that was extended to me and patched my tire in 15 minutes with a friendly smile, excellent customer service, and more importantly, concern for my safety. He should be a manager and shame on the sales associate who didn't care. If I paid attention to his name, I would certainly publish it so others knew how mediocre he was in his faint attempt at customer service. read more
