Props to the the folks at Discount Tire Santee! After a less than stellar experience at another store, I headed over to the Santee location. They reaffirmed my faith in Discount Tire, putting me in the system upon the call from the other location, as promised, and processed me quickly and efficiently once I was there. Eduardo, the M.O.D. Chris, and the young blonde dude with the yellow Terminator safety goggles, Blake, I believe it was, were all wonderful to deal with, had great attitudes, smiles on their faces, and got me in and out quickly. A tire got a bubble in it and i haven't driven the car in a while since it was out of service for a bit and took it to get it fixed after i was able to drive it and they told me i was making the bubble intentionally just to get a free tire. This was from the assistant manager by the way lol. Idk why I would waste my time to get a free tire, i'd rather be driving the car. read more

Wife's car had a blowout so I decided to replace all her tires. Went on Discount tire website, picked out tires, set a 1:45 appointment for install, towed the car to Discount and met up with Mike. He wrote the order up super fast and had the tires on one hour before the scheduled appointment! Now that is what I call exceeding customer expectations!! These guys are on it, sorry Costco, Discount tire just earned a customer for life. Plus they have a complimentary, designated lane to pull in and check your tire pressure and adjust. Their check-in processes really easy and contactless. You scan a QR code when you arrive, enter a few fields of information, and then it tells you what number you are in line. You can even make an appointment online for faster service. The employees are all very friendly. I had a wonderful experience purchasing new tires. The manager Chris was absolutely amazing and very knowledgeable and friendly. I will always support this place because they do free rotations and flat fixes. My car is always ready in half the time that they tell me it will be. Fast and friendly service! Their safety protocols are on point. Had a flat tire last Saturday. Put air in it and drove right to Discount Tire at 8:10 am. I was 6th in line to be seen. It was only minutes when my name was called. They looked at the tire and found a screw in it. They told me they couldn't get my car in until 9:45. Not too bad for not having an appointment. I was pleasantly surprised when they got my car in at 9:00 and I was on my way before 9:30! And the best was they fixed the tire at No Charge! Great service! read more

If you own a 2006 Toyota Corolla CE(Championship Edition as I like to call it...some refer to it as Cheap Edition but I prefer Championship LOL), the stock Goodyear tires that come with it are pieces of shit. I only have 50,000 miles on my car and this was my 2nd set of tires already and these were about to be done....they are the WORST tires in the world I swear. So I needed some new tires and my wife has always gotten her tires from here so I did the same. Placed my order online and set up an appointment. My appointment was for 1pm today but I was in the area around 11 and walked in to see if they could get me done sooner. They said no problem and that it would only be about 45 minutes. I paid and walked down to Best Buy to browse around for a bit. Came back 30 minutes later and I see a guy pulling my car out already done! 30 minutes! I was stoked. I went with some Michelin tires. 4 tires with lifetime balancing and rotations, road side service, and replacement if anything happens to them under the 80,000 mile warranty set me back $640.00. Michelin has a rebate going on though so you get a $70 giftcard back in the mail. So for $570 I got a set of awesome tires and full warranty! Ive only driven my car around for maybe 20 miles, but I can instantly tell the difference in the quality of these tires. No road noise, no jerky rotations etc. Smooth as can be. All the guys I interacted with were really nice and the service was top notch. I would highly recommend this place for your tire needs out here in East County. read more

The guys at the Santee location were so awesome and helpful, and friendly from the second I walked in the door. First of all, surviving anywhere in San Diego is very difficult financially, so any kind of service that makes my life better, or less stressful, and within my budget, will never go unnoticed and will always be appreciated. If you go out your way or above and beyond good service, then I will take the time to share it with others. For the service I received at the Santee location, they deserve kudos and a great review. However, this was not the only Discount Tire location I went to for help that day. But that experience will be my next review...... Not only was I greeted by 2 members of the crew upon entering the Santee store, but Eduardo at the counter was more than helpful once I was called to the counter. I explained my situation, told him my tire would not hold air, he then suggested I make an appointment for the following day, to avoid the long wait and to ensure proper care for the tire. I felt relieved with the offer since there were a lot of people in line at the time, and all the chairs in the waiting area were full. Although I did not purchase my tires there for this particular vehicle, and the record of any purchase I made in the past with them was under my ex-husband's name, Eduardo still set up the appointment for me without question and updated my information. Their service not only lived up to their reputation in taking care of my tire repair without hesitation or charge, they were timely, and the level in which they provided it exceeded my expectations. I left there feeling confident in their work and grateful to be removed of the hassle, embarassment, and danger of driving on a bad tire. When the time comes to buy new tires for my car, I wont go anywhere else, but to Santee Discount Tire. Good job, guys, thank you! (By the way, they found a nail had gone all the way through the tread, undetectable otherwise, without removing the tire entirely to find it. Outstanding customer service!! My car had a slow leak. I bought the tire from Costco next door, so I took my car to Costco to get the tire looked at. I figured it'd be under warranty, and they should patch the leak for free. Costco took almost all day and finally called me back. They said the damage was beyond repair, and we would have to buy a new tire. We then took the car to Discount Tire. They took the tire off the car and inspected it. They were able to patch the leak. It was all done in less than 30 minutes. The best part was, we didn't even purchase the tire from them. They fixed it for free. Awesome customer service and smart business model!! I made an appointment to have a tire put on a new rim and have the remaining tires rotated and balanced. I left work 2 hours early to get to the appointment and once I got there they told me they couldn't do the work. Thank you for having me leave work 2 hours early and wasting my time. Every time I come here something is worn whether it's a broken stud wrong wheels wrong tires there's always an issue I have stopped coming here for my personal vehicles but sadly my work still needs me to come here to get tires replaced for customers cars and it is nothing but a headache every time I come also I've had conversations with the manager or supposedly the manager and they just say there's nothing they can do about it at this time I would definitely recommend going somewhere else maybe it's just this location but I would not go to discount tire again read more

We have been going here for years. I want to trust the place and keep coming. However, came in today for a new set of tires. Selected a slightly more expensive tire, and when came in to get vehicle--they put the wrong tires on. I pointed it out--happy to have noticed the slight difference. Are they Hoping I wouldn't notice? Perhaps. Disappointing I have to point out wrong tires on my vehicle. They fixed it, but still giving me pause when purchasing new tires next time. Very disappointed I have been going to discount tire since my husband was alive. I had an appointment at 1215 I arrived at 1205. First claim was my vehicle wasn't in the system yet I have a receipt dated 1/16/17 For tires, I waited outside as instructed. Several vehicles were called with the only female name I heard was Ann. My ticket said my tire would be done at 154 by 205 nobody called my name & told another customer it was an hour wait. I said I just hit two hours. Bay manager suddenly comes out and says he's called my name three times. My name is Jennifer kinda hard not to hear that when all the other ladies are Ann. Then he says he's not gonna argue with me yet he still claims he called my name. So they literally fixed the tire out in the parking lot bay must be too good for Jennifer's. Then they watching me Back out alone to see if I would hit their stupid sign calling me Ann. Find some professionalism! read more

Honestly a one star review might be too gracious for this specific location, unfortunately It is the lowest that I'm allowed to do. I went in with my friend to drop off new tires to be mounted to new wheels he had pulled off of a customers car. After the guy at the front desk asked us close to 5 questions, after we explained the situation, told us that he couldn't help us. Fast forward roughly 10 minutes of excuses as to why he couldn't accept our business I walked out and went straight to Discount tire on Garnet in Pacific Beach. They were more than happy to take the job on and send me on my way. Keep in mind this is only one of the many problems we have experienced with this location. Moral of the story is that if given the opportunity to go to the Discount tire on mission gorge again, I would rather walk each wheel and tire by themselves all the way to Pacific beach than have to deal with them again. read more

My tire pressure light kept coming on, so I went in for their free tire inspection. After getting checked in, the guy checks out my tires and let's me know he sees a nail in the back left one. He's says they'll be able to fix it up no problem. After waiting for about an hour they call me out and inform me that there is nothing wrong with any of my tires, just low pressure. I tell him the guy that checked me in said he saw a nail, and he says it was probably just a rock in the tread. The next day my tire goes completely flat and what is in it? A giant rusty nail. A different discount tire fixes it for me and checks their computer to see if there was any record of what they did in the Santee shop. No record at all. So called appointment system which does not work at all... i have been told to be in store at 4:15 and I did. My tire was loosing air and made an appointment 3 days before. I came store, checked in and after 1 hour they took my car inside. I asked Mike "what is point of appointment if you are not gonna do anything to my car for an hour! Just ask me to at 5 PM then." He tried to explain me that if I wouldn't have an appointment it would take couple hours so now it will "only" take an hour and he mentioned that is how discount tires appointment system. And he mentioned Im the first person complains about this! Seriously??? . He was not rude but he doesn't understand my point either. Well apparently they got the "appointment system" totally wrong... the main reason of the appointment is having the work started ON THAT TIME. Otherwise it is just waste of time. They did nothing for an hour. If would come in at 5:10PM it would have been the exact same thing as they just looked my car at 5:10 PM. Went in was helped by very very nice young gentleman who checked the tread depth on all 5 tires and came up with the proper rotation. I went in this morning because one of my tires leaking air and I let him know I bought my tires a few months ago at a Discount Tire. He checks all 4 tires and tells me They just might need air and sends me to some place next to Wiener schnitzel so they can put air on my tires?! They were to lazy to do it where I bought them?! Deeply regret my purchase ! After inquiring into the purchase of four tires on Sep 4, it was my understanding D.T. price would include 5,000 mile rotations and balancing and an initial alignment. Had the tires purchased and mounted Sep 6, $850. It seemed fast so I asked about 'the alignment'. I was told by the technician (not the sales agent I bought them from) "oh we don't do alignments" but he could give me a referral to another company, I wasnt interested. Now I have found a competitor that will do the rotations, balance and alignments. This is costing me an additional $180. Only wish I had bought my tires from them (Firestone). read more
