Always go to discount tire for all of tire needs for all my vehicles. Like everything there is a long wait time during prime time hours, however, I think they're very few good quality tire shops that could do it any faster so I'm not holding that against them. If I could give a zero star, I would. My husband ordered 4 tires for our son's car last Saturday. Discount had 3 of the tires in stock and said they would have the 4th tire on Tuesday. We went and put a $500 deposit down and made an appointment for the following Saturday to get the tires put on. My husband even called three times this week to make sure the tire would be in. They assured him it would be there at 8:00 am Saturday morning. Fast forward to Saturday, husband takes car in. No tires and no one knows what is going on with the order. The person who helped him even looked clueless. This is just one example of how Discount Tires takes no accountability for bad service practices and poor customer practices. I don't recommend this place at all. I was there for 2 hours before they fixed my tire. The employees were just standing around laughing and looking at their cell phone. People came in after me and they left before me. It's a very unprofessional and biased place. I will never go back there again. I made an appointment for new tires on one of our cars and they made me wait 45 minutes to get it in the shop. After new tires were installed, the left front kept losing air and the sensor was no longer working to tell me that it was low. I called them to let them know that they had messed the valve stem/sensor up and the guy told me that it would cost ME $62 to repair what they had messed up. On top of that, they left the caps off of all four valve stems...WON'T BE RETURNING TO THEIR SCHERTZ, TX LOCATION!! read more

Pulled up to the tire check Lane too young males were outside talking to people in another truck and completely ignored me so went up to the front to walk inside as I walked inside not one person addressed me as I stood there for five minutes would absolutely not recommend this place and we'll go back to other discounts. I cannot recommend this specific location, due to higher level management not understanding the art of good customer service and realizing some customers are actually informed about certain products. I have bought tires, wheels, and products from Discount Tire for over 20 years now. I dealt with assistant manager Jake at this particular Shertz location for a specific Porsche tire setup. Three Michelin tires were populated on the Discount Tire computer for my particular vehicle. One of them was designated specifically for Porsche. Jake stated they were all the same Michelin tires and Porsche just stamped their designation on them to make them Porsche specific. He also stated the Porsche specific Michelin tires were slightly more expensive, which I was aware of, and that he would not price match what the dealership was charging because he wouldn't be making any money on Discount Tire purchased tires. I asked the question "what the difference was between the tires" because I wanted to see if he truly knew what the difference was, or was going to try and blow smoke, he blew smoke. I already knew Porsche had a specification formulation for their tires but wanted to see if Discount Tire would honor their price match. If Jake didn't try to blow smoke and say they couldn't price match the Porsche Dealership, I would have been fine with that because I've been mostly satisfied with most of my Discount Tire encounters! Too much time was wasted with him trying to convince me to buy what he thought was the same tire. I was surprised a Porsche dealership actually beat out Discount Tire pricing on tires this go around! I will likely still do business with other Discount Tire locations, but I will also start price shopping, since this is the first time they couldn't come close to other competitors. read more

Due to the cold front I needed my tires aired up before an hour long drive. Stopped in about 8:45 and got in line. They were super efficient and I also got my rear wiper blade replaced. Great associates! In and out in under 30 minutes-ish and I was 7th in line. read more

Needed tires for my son's vehicle. Went in on afternoon around 2:15pm. Customer service was great. He told me it would an hour or even less than that and I was out the door with in 30 minutes after paying for them. This is the second time I go to this store and will continue to go. Customer service is great they listen to what your needs are instead of just trying to sell you the most expensive tires. My tire pressure was low on one tire and I brought it into Costco where my tires were still under warranty and the tech said that there weren't anything wrong with it and perhaps I got a crack in the rim which could cause an air leak. I took it to Grease Monkey for a second opinion and to have it inflated and the tech said if there was a crack rim, they shouldn't have let me drive off. It's dangerous. However, the tech said he couldn't find where the leak is coming from either. But to me, it seems he didn't put that much effort into trying to find it. All he said was that the air could be leaking from the valve stem or the tire is bad itself. I went and got a third opinion at discount tire and then BAM! The tech found the screw in my tire! It goes to show that each technician is different. Could I have just taken it back to Costco and get a different technician and could he have found the screw? Maybe. But I believe every technician, if job done right, and with enough care, any tech would find the screw in the tire. I'll be going to discount tire for anything related to tires from now on. Costco was a disappointment and the wait with them is extremely long anyway. With discount tire, I was in and out in less than 30mins. read more

I absolutely have to give these guys a shout out tonight. We came in an hour after they had closed not even realizing it and they were still willing to give us amazing service. They were trying to get us to come in tomorrow so that they could close up but due to scheduling it wasn't guaranteed. Stopped off two drop off 2 tires Monday afternoon. They said it would be ready. Only 1 was. Had to come the next day. Here now and 29 hours later still not done! Nice guys but not super helpful. Not sure how a tire company doesn't have enough tires stocked AND then doesn't communicate that to the customer better. I've used these guys before and had better luck so I don't mind coming back. I was helped by Ethan, and he was very nice, respectful and informative. He checked my current tire pressures (which were all low) and then checked my recommended tire pressures for the make and model of my car. Filled up my tires, and then explained the possible causes behind the low pressures and what to watch for with the coming months/temperature changes. read more

They love to brag about offering free patches in tires but even if you bring in a simple nail in the tread to repair they'll find a way to try and just sell you a new one. In fact, stating they can't patch it because it wouldn't be safe. Took it to Martinez tire down the street who not only fixed it quickly without hassle but for a fair price. He was kind enough to wait for us past closing time to get a new tire. The guys are nice...but they need to get their stuff together.. I came in (made an appointment online) for a leaking tire and after an hour they had replaced the one leaking tire. I then went to get my car state inspected and they said I was missing a lug on my tire...The tire I just had replaced at Discount. (You changed ONE tire and you somehow miss that the one tire you replaced you damaged? You sent it off like that?) I call discount saying they need to fix this and they agreed. They were going to call Auto zone to get the part, and then would call another shop to do the actual repair. The next day I call at 11:00 asking about an update and they said "oh yeah we have the part...we're just waiting for the shop to have an opening before we send you over there." Ok.. ANOTHER day goes by and I just call the shop and asked about what an ETA for getting an appointment was. They said no one from Discount tire called them to set up an appointment..So I set up my own appointment and went on my own. Really? This whole process shouldn't have even happened in the first place but y'all made me miss 2 days of work waiting around for you to mess up your job. I love other discount tire locations but this location needs to wake up. read more

Lifelong Discount Tire user, but won't be returning to this location ever. Brought my truck in for some work and they said my hubs needed to be replaced because they were bent, which was fine, sometimes you hit those potholes and your soul leaves your body for a second!! Not surprised they're bent, I said okay thanks go ahead, and then when I show up they replaced the chrome wheels with black ones!! They never called or messaged to let me know it wouldn't be the same! I walked back into the shop because I didn't even recognize Ladybird (my truck), he said something along the lines of "the black ones are better because they don't scratch and stuff and the chrome are more expensive." Like what? I found it shocking that they were okay with completely changing the aesthetic of my vehicle and then acting like I was the stupid one for not seeing how it is better? In all fairness, we did look through some of their catalogue and he said I needed to go home and pick out the wheel that I want. Kinda found it surprising that he couldn't identify a good chrome match for my truck but had no trouble finding a black one for me, especially when all I wanted was the standard Ford factory hubs I had before. Now I'm stuck having paid hundreds of dollars for y'all to make Ladybird look ugly af while saving for new chrome ones! Love Discount Tires, but find another location for major repairs and purchases, these guys need to stick with filling air and rotating tires. read more

I used to brag about how good Discount Tire is but over the last five years or so, they have completely gone down to where all they care about is making money. Service is gone and so is quality of work!! I went to this location hoping that they would be better than the location in Spring Branch, who messed up two of my cars! The tire sensors in both cars worked fine until I took them in to get new tires and then they ruin them and tell me that they can replace them for $60 each and all of them should be replaced!! I went to the Schertz location hoping for better and unfortunately, found the same! They verified the tire pressure for my new tires and then proceeded to underinflate all four tires. I ordered a set of lug nut locks, which they told me would be there in a couple of days. When they weren't in for ten days, I called and was told that they "had the invoice" but no lug nuts! I asked for a refund and was told that they couldn't give this over the phone! Interesting that they could take my deposit for the tires over the phone but can't refund the money over the phone. Do yourself a favor and go ANYWHERE else to get your tires! They're grossly overpriced and will mess your car up too! read more
