******I 've been a loyal Discount Tire customer for years, but man, things have seriously changed especially at this location. It used to be that rolling up for a free tire check meant getting an honest look. A quick check of your PSI, a search for a nail or a slow leak, and they'd help you out any way they could no pressure until you actually needed new tires. Not anymore. Now, they've armed the teenagers working the tire check with digital scanners, and those things are being used as sales boosting weapons. Here is the reality I noticed today The operator can easily manipulate how those digital scanners read your tread depth just to help the store hit their sales numbers this is no surprise to me. I went to a location I don't normally frequent and that's probably where I made a mistake because my home location is all youth that live in my neighborhood and would never try to hustle me like this location tried to. If you know your tire is light on air or the light came on only because of a sudden weather change and your tires just need a quick top off, be highly cautious. Don't let a free air check turn into an expensive, manufactured sales pitch for four new tires you don't even need yet. read more

Huge Discount Tire fan for my over 25 years here I'm AZ. But this location is the weak chain I'm the link. Twice bow they have been so behind even with an appointment. And bot just a few minutes or a half hour. Literally more than a full hour behind in bringing my car in on each of my last 2 visits. Of this backed up, then text or call to say so. Why make me show up on time and wait. And wait. And wait. So rude. No other location I've been to,.which is many over the years, has ever been like this. Poorly run store. Discount Tire has always been my go to for all my tire needs on all my vehicles over the years. I have noticed that since Covid they've become a hit or miss. You have some locations that are pushy for new tires even when the tread is still decent. You have others that listen to your needs, take a look, and do everything they can to make it work. I was traveling to Phoenix from Texas and I had to make 2 stops on the way to put air in one of my tires because it was leaking air like crazy. By the time I got into town it was too late so I ended up going first thing in the morning after pumping air in the tire because it was completely flat. The gentleman who helped me was really friendly and helpful. He told me the tire itself still seemed in good shape and had the team inspect it to see if they could repair it. Turns out I had an Allen wrench inside the tread. Luckily they were able to repair it and send me on my way. They weren't pushy for me to get a new tire which I greatly appreciated. Overall it was a great experience and I'll definitely return to this location in the future. read more

There were about 6 people waiting when they opened the doors at 8am. At that time, approximately 5 or 6 employees came out all together, very cheerful and friendly and approached each person waiting asking how they could help. Very impressive. Charles was a pleasure to do business with. Gave me a variety of options and helped me select a compatible tire to maintain/improve the stance on my F350. I went with the Nitto Recon Grappler A/T. They had the tires in stock the next day and installation completed. I was also able to pay over the phone while I was working which was immensely helpful as I could pick it up after the store closed. After the install, the tires were rubbing a little on the inside of the fender due the upgrade of a taller tire. I went back the next day and (by my request) they trimmed some of the fender liner back for the perfect fitment. 100% would come back in the future for any of my other vehicles. Got really poor service here at another Discount Tire (America's Tires) in So. California, on Dec 1, 2022. Some employee really messed up. But Scottsdale store paid me $85 more than the So. California offer of only $40 compensation for their poor job on my new tires I got at that So Calif Discounmt Tire. Santee store underinflated BOTH my front tires were so deflated, they wre almost flat on he ground. I also noticed that both my wheel covers had fallen off, on those same front tires. I drove to the nearest DiscountTire (America's Tires in Temecula), but this was already 3:30 pm. Temecula store documented in my recxord that the two front tires had only 18 lbs of pressere in them, when it was supposed to be 36., and he wheel covers were missing. After wating 1 hour at that store to check if both tires had nails in them, I asked how much longer, cos it was almost 5 pm. He said there are still 4 cars in front of me. I left. I blew my errand and shopping time waiting. I called the Santee store and told Mike the manager what happened. I purchased on ebay replacemenht wheel covers and I had to drive the 25 miles back to the Santee store for them to reimburse me $40 for the wheel covers from their cash regisiter. . Mike, Santee manager, could not explain why my front tires had so little pressure in them, only 18 psi, vs 36. I said I wanted compensation for my trouble , including having to wait for nothing at the Temecula store, as a result. I said I was about to purchse 4 new tires at the Scottsdale Discount Tire and I wanted a discount extended there . Mike the Santee manager said he would take care of me, when I got to Scottsdale. Well, now at this Scottsdale store, I spent $ 612 there for supposed to be 4 tires. But when Scottsdale called Santee store, Mike would only extend $10 per tire as my "discount". I thought that was so little! The Scottsdale employee seemed to agree $t40 was not very much . So he increased the discount to a free 5th tire,worth $125 which was $85 MORE than the $40 Mike was giving me. My truck is a dually wheel and uses 7 tires including the spare, so I needed the 5th tire. This store made it right! read more

I don't have good memories of this location. I remember coming to this Discount Tire in 2022 with my girlfriend for her 2022 Honda Accord. I didn't catch his name, but one of the employees there seemed to completely ignore me or ever make eye contact with me even though I was standing right there the whole appointment while he took my partner through her inspection and tires. I didn't think much of it at the time, but found it quite odd. When my girlfriend went to her follow up appointment by herself days or weeks later, she returned home and told me this employee was hitting on her. I took my car to Costco tire first, so I know the level of tread remaining. Costco does not sell my tire brand so they had no reason to try to sell me something I didn't need. I knew I needed two tires, the other two were more then 7/10 tread. Then I went to Discount Tire. I called first and spoke with Bill, and he ordered my two tires in from another store. Unfortunately when I went to the store to have the two tires put it on all I encountered were high pressure scare tactic sales guys, trying to scare me into changing the other two tires!!! Really annoying and disturbing!!! Do they do that to men going in alone?! Or just a woman on her own. Thankfully I have been around a lot longer then those guys and know what I need and don't. I have been with this discount tire on Talking Stick Way (previously Indian Bend) for over 15 years or more. They have always been very courteous, professional, and efficient. If they don't have the tire, they will send someone to get it. My last visit was on July 7 for a balance to rotate. During the initial inspection of my vehicle, I got a call from my veterinarian who was operating on one of my dogs. The surgeon told me that my the had cancer everywhere. in the next 30 seconds, I had to give authorization to euthanize my dog. Obviously I was in great distress after the phone call. They staff expedited my rotate and balance. In fact, they even sat with me for the 10 or 15 minutes as I was inconsolable! I will never go to a different discount tire location. I discovered that I had a nail in my tire on a Friday evening after work. I made it to the shop right at closing time. Without any hesitation what's so ever they checked my tires and offered to patch it. This tire was a little worn down so I decided to buy 2 (the other one needed replacing also). I figured that I would make an appointment to bring it in another day, I felt safe because they patched the one in question. They again without any hesitation at all, stayed past closing to change the 2 tires. Every person that I came in contact with was so friendly and all had smiles on their faces. I also give them credit because it's August in Arizona. Nick was so helpful upfront and handled everything. I very much recommend this location to everyone as it's right off the freeway way.
