This place impresses me every time. There is always someone ready and waiting to help. Tonight I got a flat tire not far from there thankfully so I was able to drive my car straight there. They were closed. An hour passed closing but a few people still inside. They let me in and still checked me in and told me to wait for my ride inside since it was cold out. And said they would take care of it first thing in the morning! I just got new tires a month ago and it's all covered under warranty. Amazing service! Above and beyond. I have been going to this Discount Tire for years. Every set of tires our family has required were acquired here. A few weeks ago I ordered rims (my daughter had a cracked rim and a dented rim) and tires. They showed as shipped but never arrived. They worked with us on substitute rims and made it right. I cannot say enough good things about this Discount Tire location. I also bought new tires at Discount Tire at my home in Palm Springs but I was tricked... Discount Tire stores are called American Tire in SoCal! I've said great things about my Silverdale, WA Discount Tire. They gave a me an amazing deal on my tires for my 911 C4S, took extra care of the rims, even washed them! I've recommended them to everybody in the Porsche club. I had new tires put on at the Discount Tire store in Shakopee in October 2024. Everything went fine, very good communication and service. I just went in this morning to have a tire repaired. We were up north ice fishing, and I picked up a bolt in the rear passenger tire. I made an appointment online for 10:15 to have it repaired. I arrived at 10:00, got checked in and waited. And waited. The vehicle didn't get into the shop until after 11:00. It got done and I left the shop at 11:25. What's the point of having an appointment system if it's not going to be followed. Either follow the appointment schedule, or just do walk ins. read more

We never think about new tires until it snows! Brought my car to Shakopee location after having negative experience elsewhere. They were courteous, helpful and felt they truly had my needs in mind both budget and long term. I've been going to discount tires for years and truly appreciate most of the r experiences I have. Service is is good. Walk in wait times can vary lots, but that's my fault for not making an appt. No-WiFi in the lobby. Not acceptable in this day and age, especially if you need to wait there 1-2 hours for the job to be done. There is no excuse for the lack of WiFi, routers are practically free. Next time I will probably go somewhere so I can work while waiting for the job to get done. Come on Discount Tire Corporate, even McDonalds has free WiFi. read more

These guys are awesome! They were honest about being able to fix a tire that a competitor said was unfixable- and they fixed it in 15 mintues! They did this at no charge, even though I hadn't been a customer previously, they were just doing the right thinģ. This saved me having to buy 4 new truck tires since it was a full time four wheel drive vehicle. Discount Tire in Shakopee is my new go to tire shop!! I highly recommend them! read more

4.5 if I could....my only concern was the length of time waiting, but I didn't realize I had to make an appointment. It was a rainy day and I thought no one would be out and about...my mistake! EXCELLENT customer service from Josh. Greeted immediately as I walked in the door, understood my need (thought I had cupped tires), checked my tires and thought it might be something else. Offered to do a diagnosis for me to determine thumping sound. New tires were not needed, but he said, "I am not a brake guy, but I think you should check out the brakes." I am an "older" female...I really appreciated his recommendation and the honesty that no tires were needed. I was not charged for the diagnosis, even though they pulled my tires and checked things over for me. Cost of diagnosis: $0. When I do need tires, I will definitely go back to this store. read more

So today I had an appointment at 10:15 to get 4 new tires on my Lexus. They were so overbooked that they didn't get to it until 11:30. I then received a call from my significant other who told me that they "cracked" my exhaust pipe and we need to take it to a place in town where they will get it fixed and Discount Tire will pay. Um HELLO, we are already in about 2 additional hours and now have to make an appointment yet again, to fix their error. No monetary recourse, nothing. I am super disappointed as I have never had any problems prior as they have put tires a year or two back on my Honda. The person I spoke to when making the appointment and paid in advance was Tyler, he was great. Today, the person handling this issue, Dennis, not so much. Needs a bit of customer service training! UPDATE - I was a bit heated earlier as this day has been stressful. Having said that, Dennis stepped up and is making it right and I will get my exhaust fixed tomorrow so I will update to 3 stars. Have generally always had good experiences but they just lost a customer today. A fairly significant repair had to be made and mechanic says it was discount tires mistake, discount tire decides that it wasn't. They have been the only ones working on my tires over the last couple of years, but can no longer trust them with that. read more

I've used Discount tire for years. I have 8 vehicles that I take to them! Not anymore, they've lost me as a customer!!! The other day my done was going to get his car. Discount Tire said the car was dead. My son asked if they jump it and leave it running, as he was on his way. When we got there the car wasn't running. The manager sent a younger gentleman out with a jump pack. This did not work. The young gentleman pulled his truck up onto the boulevard to try and jump my sons truck. We sat in my truck for about a half an hour until my son called Discount Tire and asked the manager to come out. The manager came out with a huge attitude and told my son to "get out and look, it's your car!" "See, Black to black, red to red! Otherwise sparks would be flying!" My son walked over and pointed out that one of the jumper cables wasn't making contact. We waited a few minutes and the truck started. No apologies nothing! The employees just walked back into Discount Tire. read more

If I could give no stars I would. I have done business with Discount Tires in Shakopee for almost 8 years and they really disappointed me this time. They have lost a customer over the last tire purchase I made less than 1 year ago. I bought $900 worth of Goodyear tires for my Hyundai in April 2018. Less than 800 miles later I was told during an oil change apt. that they needed to be replaced because they were 60% worn. The tires were evenly worn so it was not an alignment issue. When I inquired with Discount about it they took NO responsibility for the garbage product they sold me and said until they were worn down more they could not warranty them out. I just recently traded in the vehicle and was again told new tires were needed. Only about 1000 miles on the tires and less than 1 year after purchase and they were shot. Those tires should have been good for 60K miles. Discount Tires sell garbage! Don't go there, you will regret it in less than 1 year! read more

Check in and wait time were short but when I went out to my car the problem arose. I had purchased four new tires and asked that the right rear tire be used as the spare since two of the other tires had slow leaks. I even took a picture with my phone of the tire which showed where the valve stem was in relationship to the balance weights. That way I could tell if the correct tire was used as the spare. It wasn't. When I explained that the tire in the trunk wasn't the correct one the employee at the front desk went in and talked to the mechanics who assured him that it was the correct one. When I showed him the photo which proved it wasn't his story didn't change. Now I don't know if my spare is one of the leaking tires or not. After comparing my photo to the car now, the right rear wheel never changed position, it's still on the right rear. It has a new tire and balance weight but the old balance weight position is still visible on the wheel. It even makes me wonder if they ever took the old spare tire out of the trunk at all. Hope I don't ever need my spare tire. read more
